Avignon was a wonderful place for my husband and I to start off our married life. We ended up staying for 5.5 years, and the overall experience has been very positive. The only reason we moved is because we needed to be closer to work. We were very sad to leave our little community! Avignon is not perfect, but the things that we had issues with were mainly out of the management's control. I will share my honest review below: Unit: The units are basic but overall updated. It had everything we needed and plenty of closet/storage space. The only issues we had were in the beginning with the kitchen sink and the internet. Our unit had some problems with the kitchen sink backing up, but maintenance fixed that quickly. Also, our unit for some reason had problems connecting to Spectrum. We had to have 5 different workers come in to inspect. Finally one worker said he knew about our specific unit and realized there was a broken outlet our internet was plugged into, so there was a second outlet it was supposed to be plugged into. Not sure if I'm explaining that right, but he had to drill holes into our wall to get the wire to go straight into the bedroom. But, no problems since then! Community: The community was pretty quiet and safe. There are kids who play outside during the summer, but they're not loud. Neighbors are friendly and keep to themselves. The addition of the small dog enclosure has been nice, and most owners are responsible. There are a handful who never clean up after their dogs, which is frustrating to see. But, the community is well-maintained generally. Parking: There is plenty of parking along Basque Ave. We've never had a problem finding parking, although there are occasionally events with the school or library, and then it is packed! But, this does not happen very often. The train track area can be a little sketchy at night, but the gates of the community keep trouble away most of the time. My husband's car has been broken into once before, so just keep any bags or belongings out of sight. As for the garage, the only frustrating thing has been sharing it with irresponsible neighbors. He has already moved out, but we had a garage neighbor who would never close his garage door, so I had my wedding decor and mementos stolen from my side of the garage! Very sad and frustrating, but it was out of our control. Laundry: Similar to the other complaints we have, some neighbors are just dirty or inconsiderate. For the first 5 years, we didn't really have any problems with the laundry room aside from the occasional broken machines or excessive pet hair in the machine. But lately, there has been a noticeable difference. The machines seem dirtier and smell, probably because someone didn't use enough detergent? There has also been a resident who leaves their clothes in the washing machine for 1-3 hours before moving it to the dryer, and then leaving it there for another 1-3 hours! I counted. Just one (maybe more) inconsiderate person that affected our quality of life. Maintenance does their best to keep things clean, but they can only do so much. Management: Matt is the nicest property manager! He is always quick to respond. He is also very understanding if you ever have problems you need to bring to his attention. He seems like he genuinely cares about his residents and always greets us warmly. We had no problems with our move-out inspection and getting our deposit back, too! Maintenance: Maintenance has always been great. There used to be a maintenance man that was AMAZING. He was so amazing that he got promoted and moved to another location, which was sad for us. The newer maintenance workers are also nice and quick, just not as quick as the first one. But, they've still been able to help us with anything we needed fixing or replacing. No complaints on this front! Overall, although there were a few frustrating aspects of Avignon, I feel that these are common issues that could arise in any complex as long as you live and share things with other people. It really depends on who is next to/near your unit. Again, we were very sad to leave, but Avignon will always have a special place in our heart! read more

I've lived here for total 9 years (lived for first 3 years then moved out to Anaheim, and then came back here 6 years ago :) As someone's review, this apartment is well maintained and secured. This apartment provides a big patio which is another good pros. that you can not find any other apartments normally. Good neighborhood and pet friendly community are great as well. I love the style of townhomes. And the complex looks amazing. Bummer part is if you live in the side with the fake grass and trash be prepared to never have your windows open, it smells horrible 100% of The time. Smells like dog pee and hot trash. Also, if you want quiet weekend mornings or are thinking of sleeping in... well you won't get that here. There is always some sort of hammering, grinding, leaf blowing, water pipe fixing, metal cutting, and screaming happening. I understand things need to be fixed but dang... can we at least start later in the morning. Noise complaints are not taken seriously here.... Just get copy paste responses from management. I love this place and think it's gorgeous... just wish they fixed these things. Having real grass and lids on the trash can would be a great start! read more

Avignon was a great place for our first family home. We lived at Avignon for a total of 7 years in two different homes. We were initially in a 2 bedroom one bath then 2 years later we moved into a 2 bed, 1.5 bath townhome. We loved our experience there for the most part. About 4 years ago unfortunately we had items stolen from our garage (we shared a 4 car garage and a neighbor left theirs open) and there were no cameras apparently that caught the robbers. Matt did however allow us to move our car into a 2 car garage and it never happened again.The surrounding area around the community is the school district but the area at the end of Basque around the dog park can be sketchy at night. We love that over the years they added gates and cameras around so the community felt more safe. We liked the 2 bbq areas which had tables around them. The small gym was equipped with a few cardio machines, free weights and a squat rack. The pool was clean and perfect for the summer. It is a very dog friendly community with a lot of grass, a small dog park, and multiple relief stations. Our only issue is that some of the neighbors are lazy a**holes and leave their dogs poop on the ground/grass and didn't pick it up. On Wednesdays, the landscapers would come and clean up the community, so it was clean and beautiful. Matt was friendly and is very responsive to any questions or concerns we brought up. Salvador was a great and kind maintenance man. Eric was helpful and responsive to requests. read more

We have been living at Avignon Apartments for about 5 years now and we can't believe what just happen last week. Our apartment got broken into thru the MAIN DOOR. We believe this happen between 5-8pm on Thursday and it just happened to be that none of our neighbors was at home. Nobody saw anything and there are no security cameras on the side that we live. It's terrifying to know that we are not safe anymore being the fact that this is a GATED community, and that the walls are thin enough to hear our neighbors TV. I can't believe nobody heard anything. The management just gave us a Ring to put on our front door, that's all they can do about it. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else...we just can't wait to move out for the sake of safety. read more

This is a great place to live in Fullerton! After living here for 3+ years I'm very sad to move out, it's been a great experience here - Pros: -Maintenance is always on call and easy to get a hold of and Matt the landlord is fantastic -The building is beautifully maintained and the apartment units have nice floors/appliances/etc -Good neighborhood to walk around in and close to downtown Fullerton -Parking is easy and guest parking is pretty accessible Cons: -There are numerous small laundry rooms around the complex, but they're often full so you'll have to walk from one to another, also washers/dryers break pretty easily -This place is very pet friendly which is great, but that comes with some bad pet owners. Avignon apartments is an amazing place to live! My wife and I loved living here for a number of reasons! The complex is updated with newer amenities, like a Ring device on the door and stainless steel sink, a huge closet, with a lot of room for a one bedroom. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, especially our community director Matt DiSalvo, who was so friendly, and was willing to help us with any of our needs! Matt is the best! We felt safe since the complex is closed off with a gate and a school nearby. And you receive a parking garage, which is plenty since there is tons of street parking next to the apartment on Basque. The locationally it's close to so many grocery stores, like stater bros, sprouts and Food 4 less and even Costco is close. For entertainment downtown Fullerton is only 8 minutes away and it is an exit off the 91 freeway to Disneyland. And since Valencia is in between Euclid and Brookhurst there are many good food places close by! Come to Avignon if you want one of the better living experiences in Fullerton, CA! read more

Our A/C went out in the middle of this heat wave and with a baby in the house it's difficult to live with out it. I let the maintenance team know and within the hour my A/C was replaced!!!!!!!! I was really thankful and appreciative for the maintenance team for that quick response . read more

I had a few issues at my apartment that needed to be taken care of and when I spoke to Eric he was here early before 10 am to unclog my tub and he took care of it within minutes. My wife and I moved into this complex of August 2016, when moving from out of state. Everything was fine until after we signed the lease. It all started with some issues with the garage door opening but they couldn't look into it because it was after hours on a Friday and they don't have hours on weekends. So I had to park my car on the street, which I had no problem doing but heard the neighborhood isn't great and has a lot of car break ins. It was just frustrating they weren't able to take care of small issues like this until the following Monday. Next we had some plumbing issues with our toilet upstairs and downstairs. The first time we called they came right away and from what we understood, fixed the problem. A few weeks later our toilet downstairs overflowed and had a live cockroach inside of it which was gross. So I called management and they said it would take around 40 min for a plumber, after waiting an hour I had to call her back to see if she could follow up since they still weren't there. Plumbers come and the pipes were clogged so they "fix" the problem. This being said they left the bathroom with poop on the walls and floor. Finally they leave a notice on our door saying they will be working on plumbing and maintenance will be in our apartment, great, the issues will finally be fixed. About a week later, I was watching tv and I heard a leak. I look where the leak sound is coming from and find the toilet upstairs is leaking through the floor into the lamp that connects to the downstairs bathroom. Honestly I felt like I was on a tv show. At this point we broke our lease and moved to a different complex and it was the best decision we made! This complex just bandaids things up, nothing is ever fixed. And if management listens to these reviews please have better communication around issues like these. read more

Writing to update our experience at Avignon, where we have been now for almost 4 years. We decided to switch to a bigger unit during the pandemic, assuming it would be up to par with our current one. We were shocked to find that the unit had outdated furnishings, burn stains, and uneven floor boards. Management was on vacation when we were supposed to move in and we were stuck. Ramon, the service manager on-site, saved the day and advocated on our behalf with upper management. He made a series of major repairs within a week! Without Ramon and his diligence, we would not be living here at Avignon. He continues to be there anytime our unit needs attention. read more

My husband and I have now been at the Avignon Apartments for over a year and couldn't be happier!! The Avignon Team is still as amazing as they were when we first moved in, if not more. After one year we transferred into a bigger apartment and Erica, Matt, Enrique and Ramon made the process so incredibly easy and even enjoyable. No one likes moving but they make it so stress-free and actually a lot of fun. We truly consider them some of our good friends now and love popping in to say hi! Erica and Ramon who are here most often are truly the BEST of the BEST! They're always so professional but also very caring, authentic and personable with all their tenants. We really love them! They're always there for anything we need or any questions we may have for our home. We love our new space and see ourselves living here for quite some time. Before transferring, Ramon (the maintenance manager) graciously walked the new apartment with us making sure everything was up to par and working well. Even to go over and beyond by checking in on us after being here for a couple weeks and making sure everything is still running well and we're happy with the space. He's so great! Avignon is truly equipped with the most INCREDIBLE team! Everything is so streamlined, which makes our lives so much easier! Their communication is 100%! We couldn't be more thankful for each and every one of them. They really make living here worth it. It really does feel like home and they genuinely care about the complex and all their tenants. We've even secretly seen them on our ring doorbell camera, picking up our plants and patio furniture after a super windy day.. I lived here for almost 5 years and I can say that my expierence with management and maitenance was always great! Answered calls and work orders really quickly. I'm glad they added gates all around the community because there are a lot of homeless people just outside the complex. We had a closed garage door and the one time we forgot to close it someone broke into my boyfriends car. Thankfully nothing of real value was in the car but it was still off putting. We lived in a two story unit, only one bedroom has A/C which forced our roommate to purchase his own unit to keep his room cool. After 5 years at Avignon I will miss the area, we were close to a lot of great food and walking trails. But I won't miss the sketchy people just outside of the complex. Seriously, I never felt comfortable walking my dog at night because of this. And I have a Pit Bull. Our move out process was very simple too. We got most of our deposit back and Ramon was very upfront with what we will get charged for. Cons: -no matter how clean we kept the apartment, there were SO many roaches. I mean by our last year it was unbelievable how many were in the kitchen/dishwasher/living room area. We had the apartment sprayed and the bugs returned only a few days later. It was the one of the biggest reasons why we moved. -washer and dryers at the complex are just okay. We ended up doing our laundry at a laundry mat because of how fickle the machines could be. -trash cans are always packed to the brim. People who live here blow and just to lazy to walk to another trash bin that isn't full. So the trash is always over flowing in certain parts. Pros: -Great management -loved our garage with storage room -great first apartment for my boyfriend and I to move into together. We chose to move so we could have a bigger place, with central A/C and a washer and dryer in unit. Avignon cannot provide that so we decided it was time to move to another complex. read more

My husband and I moved to Avignon in 2018 and we're so sad to leave such a wonderful community. Location: It was great living just minutes away from the freeway, downtown, and shopping centers. Made frequent trips convenient! Amenities: We had the corner unit and were right next to the pool. They upgraded the barbecues and they're beautiful. We had the best time hosting guests (Pre-COVID of course)! Also - they upgraded the laundry machines to debit/credit cards, no more quarters!! Lol. Parking: AMAZING. Our unit came with a garage but the there was always street parking available as the property is next to a school district. My husband and I lived at the Avignon apartments for almost three years. Overall we had a good experience here. The apartments and grounds are updated and clean. Matt and Ramon are really nice and do their best to help residents with whatever they need. Avignon is part of a bunch of other apartment properties and from what I have seen, it appears to be one of the smallest, but I liked that about the property (the less people, the better in my book). We ended up moving for commute reasons. The only real gripes I had were with neighbors who are being rude and think that they are the only ones that live in the apartment complex. Ex: being overly noisy (there is a noisy neighbor who had the audacity to write a bad review of this place when they were literally a nightmare..they don't live there anymore FYI), people leaving their laundry in shared appliances ALL DAY, or not throwing their trash away properly. It's that common sense/ common courtesy that really gets on my nerves. However, it is just a reality of living in an apartment complex. You will have to deal with a few lazy and unpleasant human beings sometimes. It's everywhere you go. That's why I appreciate the work the employees do to keep the grounds clean and be attentive to residents. When we moved in there was a transient on a bike coming into the complex and going through the dumpsters. Once management saw this, they put a lock on the entrance to dumpsters and added gates around the complex which added an extra level of safety. I was impressed with that. In the midst of the pandemic, they adhered to safety protocols and even sent residents a mask and hand sanitizer. They really care about their residents. It's that kind of service that made me like this place. read more

I came to visit Avignon Apartments due to the Yelp reviews which gave such good words about the place. I checked out their website beforehand, and the photos of the units and the community area looked very promising as well. I was surprised to see that it looks just as lovely when I got there! The entire apartment complex is clean, quiet, and pleasantly calming. The neighborhood also feels safe. The units look well-maintained and utterly taken care of. There are a lot of community amenities available on site as well: a fitness studio, bbq grills and picnic areas, on-site laundry, a swimming pool, and even a pet wash! During that first visit, I already knew I wanted to live here. This was going to be my first apartment, and it was quite nerve-racking for me as I thought it would be a complicated process to lease an apartment. But Mitesh, the property manager, has been nothing short of magnificent with taking me through the whole process. I truly appreciate all the help he has given to make the process as smooth as possible. He was very accommodating of all my questions and concerns about the apartment and was more than willing to be of help whenever I needed it. Manny, who is in charge of maintenance, did an amazing job in keeping the apartment's beauty intact and making it ready to move in with ease. It's no wonder Avignon Apartments looks stunning because the people behind it have the passion to make it the best living situation for anyone who resides here. My experience living at Avignon was nothing short of incredible. These beautiful apartments are well kept and exceptionally managed. Matt and Ramon are a wonderful team who always put their residents first and truly care about the community. The surrounding area is also great. Excellent dining options, grocery stores, a dog park, school, and lovely neighborhood for walking all very close. I feel like many apartment complexes (in my experience) look nice on the outside and show their best model when you tour, but when you move in you're faced with poorly built cabinetry, leaky plumbing, and cheap construction choices. This was not at all the case with Avignon. You can rest assured that the units are all well constructed, and should you have any issues Ramon is incredibly timely in his response to maintenance issues. I would full heartedly recommend living at Avignon to anyone moving to the Fullerton area! read more

My wife and I really enjoyed the six months that we lived here. We rented the larger sized upstairs one bedroom unit. There was a garage below us and nobody above us so we had no noise problems. The landscaping and inside of the apartments are really well done. The pictures that you see are accurate! It's not like other apartments where you see a picture and get excited, then you are disappointed when you check it out in person. The only thing to be aware of is that these are not brand new apartment buildings. They are renovated, remodeled ones so the leveling in certain areas of the living space can be a little crooked. But really not a big deal at all! We lived above the swimming pool, which at first was exciting. Sometimes, it would get a little noisy with kids having fun, but by the evening, everything would calm down. We also used the BBQ grill a few times, which was awesome. I think they are currently in the process of adding a fitness center as well! There are community laundry facilities but they are clean and plenty of them... Easily accessible! Erica is such an excellent manager. She is really kind and professional and intentionally holds events and does things to create community. At Halloween, they had a costume contest for all the kids and pets! She and the maintenance people all live on-site so if there are any needs, they will come by within the same or next day. So many places within driving/walking distance: a dog park a block away, downtown Fullerton 5 mins away (driving), Korean markets, Costco, In n out, Lee's Sandwiches, Taqueria De Anda, you name it! If you are looking for an excellent valued apartment, I would highly recommend checking this place out!! read more

Honestly the best apartment experience we have ever had, from management to the residents this is the first complex that has truly felt like home. Erica, Enrique, Matt, and Ramon are such a great team for this place! They always follow through on any request, follow up and check in to make sure you're doing well and are authentic people. Having management that really cares and don't just say things to make you feel good has made a huge difference in how enjoyable our experience has been. They are always helpful whenever we need anything, having great customer service and solid communication. There was even a night where the water line to our bathroom got backed up while we weren't home, not allowing us to shower or use the bathroom. When we found out Ramon was able to come fix the issue even on his day off that evening. My husband and I absolutely loved living at Avignon. The community as a whole felt safe, especially with the recent addition of gates all around the property. The amenities are updated and quarters are no longer required for laundry! The community director, Matt, was always helpful and prompt to respond to any of our questions or needs. I've been living at Avignon for about 2 years, when I first moved to Avignon I rented a one bedroom apartment, very spacious with beautiful renovated interiors. I transferred to a townhome because we needed a two bedroom apartment. I loved the community so much that I didn't want to look elsewhere, I knew I wanted to stay there. It's very quiet through out the day and night. The staff is very friendly, always extremely helpful, and prompt when needed. As for parking, we get a closed garage parking space and street parking for additional vehicles is always available. I never struggle when looking for street parking and neither do our visitors! I would definitely recommend Avignon to anyone that is looking for a peaceful, clean, and smoke-free community! read more

Looking for some where to move to? We have been residents here for a couple months now and have nothing but great things to say about this place!! The complex and its amenities are extremely well maintained. Since before we were even residents we sent many emails and made many calls to the leasing office; Matt was and continues to be quick to answer questions and help find a solution. He is extremely accommodating and continues to impress us. We cannot mention the leasing office without mentioning maintenance and they're helpfulness. Our first week here we experienced a maintenance emergency around 10 pm and called the emergency number provided. Ramon arrived within minutes and completely solved the issue. He is a friendly face that we continue to see daily and he always seems to be there when we have even the slightest issue. Overall, the reviews at Avignon apartments are not a lie. I've lived in 7 different places in the last 4 years and Avignon is hands down the best! All the appliances are newly remodeled and work great. Been here for 3 months now and have zero complaints. It's not super loud, and I can't hear my neighbors at all. Erica the lady who runs the place is the sweetest and has always been available to help me out even on her off days. The apartments are nicely remodeled and a decent place to live. The biggest downside is that the walls are paper thin. When people walk upstairs, the whole apartment echoes. You can even hear their water running, which is very annoying when they're taking a shower at 1am. Also, watch out for apartments near the train tracks. The salesperson failed to disclose the fact that there were railroad tracks, just calling it a "dead end". Trains run fairly often and through the night. read more
