Bought a Car from Avis. Cars are nice. Yes, you can negotiate the price. Yes, you can not pay the fees. The sales people do the deal and pass you to the business people. The business people don't have a clue. They miss scheduled signing meetings, promise answers and shipments, and very rarely delivery what they said. From the day I picked up the car until I had my cashiers check cashed was ~ 8 business days. All waiting for them to set up the meeting. From then it was another 3 weeks before I received the title and second ignition key in the Overnight UPS package. I finally had to call the sales person to wake up Candice in the business department. Hope you don't get her. Must be a blonde (Joke). Service is terrible. Sales is a bit slow. This location is very unprofessional. I had been researching different Mercedes and saw one that caught my eye. My bank approved me 0 down. I literally called by the hour to see if could get the vehicle. Every time a lady named Esmeralda would answer and kept promising she would get back with me never did. Finally I decided to go up there during the pandemic only to find out allegedly there systems were down. Do you know an hour after I left they sold the vehicle. There communication and transparency sucks. Nevertheless, I bought a newer Mercedes CLA 250 from EchoPark Automotive. Easy process and peace of mind with a list of car-fax and extended warranty. Disorganized, inept and antiquated, is the best description I can provide for Avis Car Sales. They use TRESL (formerly IFF) to arrange your test drive. Try to attempting to setup an appointment!?!?! They will likely not respond to your requests and if they do, the date represented in their site will be pushed back days. Very unreliable. Looked at one of their cars brought to a rental location; scratched and dings all around. There is a reason they don't show pictures in advance. Run away from this type of sale!!!! read more

Beware! Called about a car, test drove it and liked it. Between the time we walked from the salesman's cubicle to the loan processor's cubicle, the price on the vehicle had gone up $700. Christian, the salesman, added in a reconditioning fee he never told us about. Then the loan processor starts pushing an extended warranty. He went as far as saying he could drop the interest rate if we bought the warranty. It wasn't until tensions got high that they were wiling to remove the extra fees and by then we were no longer interested in doing business with such an unethical place. Funny how interest rates can magically drop and "mandatory" fees miraculously become negotiable once customers have had enough. Not 5 minutes later the manager was calling to see how he could make things better.......I'll tell you how: get rid of your sketchy staff! read more

This review is for Avis Car Sales in Cincinnati which is actually run by an outfit outside of Austin, TX. I reserved a 2018 Ford Fiesta for an Ultimate Test Drive, a week later when I got there, the car was not there, but the best part was they had me down for a 2018 VW Beetle which was also not there. The next day I found the same Fiesta online in Philadelphia, PA. About a month later I reserved a 2018 Ford Focus, a week went by and the day before the Ultimate Test Drive they called and said the car had scuff marks on the hood and had to be repaired so the UTD was canceled. The next day I found the same Focus online in Columbus, OH. My advice is to avoid this outfit like the plague. read more

Bought a 2019 Jetta thru the rental test drive program. At no time did they mention the vehicle doesn't have a second key. Only once I've had the car for 12 days did they send the sales contract, which is the first time they told me there was no second key (these keys cost around $300 at a VW dealer). So if I return the car, I get charged 12 days rental, if I don't I have to buy a new key. Very unhappy that it wasn't disclosed at the beginning. I've bought two other vehicles off them previously, and didn't have any problems. Never again, next time, I'll go to Hertz. read more

Beware this place I bought a 2016 Volkswagon jetta that they currently have on their lot. This car has major problems. It appears it was flood damages, I took it back and got a 2017 jetta that i took to the dealership that they confirmed was good. Steve, the current General Manager as of 10/30/17 is a complete idiot. First of all, all their "no haggle internet pricing" is completely negotiable. I talked Steve down by an additional 5% off ($800 off a $16k car). Don't believe anything he says to you verbally, get it all in writing before you leave. Steve's integrity is questionable and he should not be trusted. Once I agreed to pay the price he suggested would be his final offer if I wanted the car, he then past a business card across the table to me with a total on the back. He said this is the amount my lender would need to wire to him. He suggested this was the total with tax, title and license. The price was almost $300 more than what I expected, so I asked him to see the "cost breakdown" for each item. He then proceed to explain that there is an additional $250 doc fee included for "document processing." When I called him on this bogus fee to increase his profit by $250 he originally denied it and said that's for his girls in the back to process all the paperwork. There was no one in the back and when I challenged him on it again he finally admitted that the fee was for him and his additional profit margin. I said, "Steve we had an agreed upon price and I wasn't going to pay an additional $250 for the car." He replied, if you want the car you will pay the $250/doc/profit/bogus fee! Needless to say I didn't trust anything that was coming out of that thing right below his nose at this point and I left the car lot (without making the purchase) because he was dug-it on getting his additional $250 profit on top of what we had already agreed to. The absolute WORST place to buy a car from! Stay far far away! They claim that they don't sale any cars that have been in collisions, I bought a 2018 Nissan Sentra and 15 minutes after I drove it off the lot a warning sign popped up on the dashboard back, I called the sales lady back, Monica (who was very RUDE and unprofessional throughout this entire situation, she definitely shouldn't be in the sales industry), when I called her about the warning she said "There's nothing we can do about that you have to take it to Nissan" seeming as if she sold me the car already so now she doesn't care and to leave her alone! This right here was a huge red flag but I already bought the car so I took it to Nissan and they told me the car had been in a collision, mind you Avis told me the car had a clean history. I took the car back to Avis, the regional manager Jeff was very pleasant but kept saying the car wasn't in an accident and offered to fix specific part that was wrong, I agreed, they gave me a temp. car and a few days later they admitted the car had been in an accident. I went back to pick a new car, the only other sentras they had for me to choose from were colors that I did not want at all but I had to settle for a white one, they told me to drive it for 2 days to make sure it is ok then come back and do paper work. I drove the white sentra home and 30 minutes later I get back to the car to start it and it DOES NOT START AT ALL!!! I called Avis to come pick it up and I closed out all deals with them and took my business elsewhere. The manager Dan was also pleasant but these cars on their lot are complete TRASH! I am now left without a car until I find time to go look for a new one, they have inconvenienced me so much. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR TIME COMPLETELY WASTED!! read more

The worst dealership I have worked with in 30 years. a) The prices can easily be beaten at any authorized and competent dealership including Certified Pre-owned vehicles. b) If you buy vehicles with this low mileage at a dealership you also get what is left of the factory warranty ...her they try to sell you an extended warranty c) These vehicles are poorly maintained and the multipoint inspection is a joke... at least from what I have seen and experienced myself. d) Needless to say these cars are rental cars and not in good shape and as I stated you can get Certified pre-owned vehicles at a better price from Dealership which will include Factory Bumper to Bumper Warranty. d) Lastly, the process they have in place is not working .... They have sent multiple links to upload documents and none worked. Difficult to reach people and just not worth the effort. Will never deal with these guys again ..... A waste of time read more

Same as others here I have the worst buying experience, at first they treat you really nice until you made the deal and pay the vehicle. They let you drove the car for 2 hours with no pressure and if you decide to buy take at home with you. After 2 days I re After two days I realized that I had expired plates, I spoke with a representative on December 11, 2020 and she said that her team was going to send me a temporary permit and that they were going to mail me the permanent plates along with the registration. I waited 4 weeks for the permit And never arrived I have the car in the parking lot since November 10/2020 because the plates are expired, I have sent them several emails to get an answer and they are not good at talking to me or answering me, I spoke again and They told me that they could not do anything that it was the central office that was in charge of that work, so what do you suppose I should do? If they who sold me the car can't do anything then who can help me? do not waste time or get angry with this company, better buy in a certified place these people do not take their work seriously they are a joke. read more

My daughter and I decided to visit a few dealerships today to shop for a car. We went out around 9 AM and this was our last stop because we needed to be home before 12PM. We parked, went around the lot and looked at their cars. Mr. Xavier came out and was very pleasant and informed us about what he had on his lot. I would give him a 5 star for being nice. The reason for this 1 star or should be a negative 5 star was that elderly man with gray hair with a gray mustache who came out afterwards. At first he was asking what it is that car we were looking for and was with a bit pushier than Mr. Xavier. He was also trying to get us to go inside the office. Again, I politely said that we needed to go and we just passed by to look at the cars in the lot. He then became rude and started throwing insults. I stopped myself from confronting him because it would just be a waste of time and that it was not worth it. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place unless of course if you are OKAY dealing with a RUDE salesman like him. read more
