Called last night to check availability and schedule an appointment to see and possibly purchase a vehicle. I ended up speaking with Adam. The next morning after taking off work, I drove to Katy (2.5 hours) for my appointment only to find out that a deposit was placed on the vehicle and I couldn't purchase it. I was given a tank of gas and an apology. An hour later, a friend called and scheduled an appointment to view the same vehicle, it still hasn't been taken off the internet. I have been going to Westside for several years for the servicing of two different vehicles. On my last visit, they severely overcharged me for an assessment of my ONSTAR. They severely took advantage and I had no choice but to pay to get my vehicle released. I called, texted, emailed multiple times. I have called them about 10 times and they continue to give me the runaround and now I am being hung up on when I call. I was shopping on line for a truck and was contacted by Dana who runs online sales. I verified the truck price and talked then talked to the salesmen Brian and made an appointment. When I showed up, ready to buy the truck, I found that there was a $3,500 "accessory" charge added to the price. I was taken back by this since I had done a lot of communication before showing up. Took my daughters car in and after having it for 4 months they put the wrong seat in. They put in a seat that had totally different leather and tried to tell us its was because it's "new" leather. The car was filthy and there was gun powder damage still visible on the door panel from the air bags. The car needed the wheels replaced and they were 3 different shades of "gun metal". They ended up charging my insurance more than the car was worth... Big disappointment!!! I complained to the tech Jesse and his manager but she didn't care either. I noticed an ad online saying that Westside Chevrolet guaranteed $3,000 for any running vehicle. I spoke with a guy named Chris on a Saturday afternoon, after describing my vehicle and telling him that it'd been in a wreck but still ran fine, he said that they would absolutely still guarantee a $3,000 trade value. I figured with a $3,000 trade value, I'd go ahead and fill out a finance application. Since it was late on Saturday and they were closed on Sunday, I didn't press the situation until Monday. At around 10am, I hadn't heard anything and contacted the dealership. 20 minutes later I received a message that they were too busy to talk to me and would contact me later. A few hours later, I asked the dealership to let me speak with someone else because I didn't like being ignored. Chris then contacted me immediately and asked for photos of my trade. 10 minutes later he replies that the most they can give me is $500. He then proceeds to ask if I can put more money down. I have bought 2 vehicals from Westside and was ready to trade in one for my 3rd purchase from Westide. Unfortunatly, my recent experience with an extended warranty claim has me taking my business elsewhere. They sell you a 4k extended warranty with a sales tactic that it is "complete coverage" and "bumper to bumper" but when a claim is made there are exceptions hidden deep into a 40 page agreement. The part of the agreement you sign is the page where it says complete coverage and its an attempt to hide the details. A cadillac coverter should not go bad at 85k miles and I was told its treated like break pads or wipers. Its a critical part of the vehicle. I am looking into my options to ensure accountability and ensure these sales tactics are not used on other customers. Trasparancy is important and your business reputation matters. There are plenty of options in choosing your next vehicle and in hindsight I wish I knew the business practices used by Westside that take advantage of customers in order to drive revenues. read more

My family and I relocated to Texas so we needed a new dealer home. Six months later from working with this dealer I must say I am considering legal action! How does GM not have a quality control office to oversee customer relations behind the name ? This dealer is tarnishing the GM BRAND! I bought a 2024 High Country in April. I use this truck for my small business everyday. At 4K miles my check engine light came on and was in the shop for two days, at 7500 miles my check engine light came on again and was in the shop for 3 days. Four days after I got it out the check engine light came on again. They have now had it for 9 days and have told me they can't get the part until July. By then it will be in the shop a total of 30 days. I ask for a loaner truck and was told they didn't have one but they did rent me the smallest compact car available. When I ask them to help me get a truck they told me to call GM customer service. You would think since I put 65K down on a 92K truck I would get better customer service. Walked into the service department and stood in front of service writer for a few minutes and was never greeted or asked if I needed help. Another service writer walks by and sits down at his desk and doesn't ask me if I've been helped. I then ask both of them if they were service writers because I needed help with an oil change. They both said they were service writers. I asked if one of them could help me and I said this is why I don't like coming here because of the bad service. The service writer named Rosales gets an attitude and tells me that if I didn't like it I can go to Classic Chevrolet and refused to help me with my service. He handed my keys back and said he would speak to the service manager. I asked the other service writer to get me going while I wait for the service manager who never came to speak to me. I quickly went to speak to other employees on the sales side and they confirmed that they have a horrible service department and that I wasn't the first customer to complain. I spoke to Fernando who was the GM and he was extremely nice and assured me he would fix the problem. After my service was completed and had gotten a car wash, I received my paperwork and noticed that the Technician's Checklist for my car had not been completed nor had it been inspected. I alerted the service Writer and she said she would have a technician complete which he did right in front of the service department drop off area and not inside the shop. Seemed to me that he did an extremely quick check and was definitely not thorough. Just horrible service in the service department overall. The Service is what keeps loyal customers coming back but with that kind of service, there's no way I would ever buy a Chevy vehicle ever again! read more

I have been trying to reach a service contact for a week leaving 4 messages and then finally the lady answering the phone told me my cart had no recall, but i received one in the mail and service said they ordered parts. She sent me to parts, and then they send me back to service where I, once again, ended up in voicemail jail. This is the worst service department i have ever encountered. I love the car, but to be able to enjoy it, i need some support to be able to replace the non functioning parts. Picked up my truck from Westside Chevrolet today after 24 days. She had a service axle lockers notice so we took her in. For 24 days we were told they were working on her with specifics of what they were doing. We had to call for updates because they never did. Kept hearing about wrong parts ordered, tech calling in sick, etc. It took several tries to talk to our service guy every time because they like to pick up the phone & hang it up. I'd had enough today & decided to talk to the manager in person. We were shocked to see my truck sitting in the parking lot. How is that possible when they're working on the differential & were almost done? A quick look under the truck shows they never touched her! For 24 days the service guy lied about what they were doing. He said they replaced the harness & sensor. That they were almost done changing out the actuator. Spoke to the service manager. We brought our Suburban to have the sunroof motor replaced. After getting our vehicle back, we noticed the same day that rain was leaking and making the headliner wet on the front driver's side. We took it back thinking it may have been from having the sunroof worked on. We were told that it was leaking from the shark fin antenna. Upon inspection of the antenna, we noticed a scratch/dent on it as though it had been hit by something. Since we had never had a leak before having the sunroof worked on, it was quite obvious that the dent, and thus the leak, was caused by whomever was working on the sunroof, which is coincidentally right next to the antenna. Your employees said there was absolutely no way this issue was caused by one your employees, and they wanted us to pay over $600 to replace the antenna. This review will save you TIME and MONEY and it is strictly for the service department of Westside Chevrolet Katy. The service advisor that you get MATTERS!!! Read about my experience before you even think about giving this dealership a chance. Don't make the mistakes I made. This service center is a specialized shop, meaning that they have "technicians" who specialize in repairing certain parts of your vehicle. This means that if you need work done and the technician is "backed up" you are going to suffer. If you want this place to finish the work on your car, you better stick around and push them hard for constant updates, because the moment you leave the car with them, the chances that they will leave you in limbo are extremely high. By limbo, I mean no communication whatsoever. You have to call them, they do not call you with updates. This is despite the fact that they send you a link with service updates and "video" of the work via text. Except, nothing was ever sent. Not a text, not a video. Nothing. I had to keep calling them. So here's my overall experience: Friday - went in at 8:30am with AC issues. I also told them about a coolant leak. And I also wanted an oil change done. This means that the car got passed around to 3 technicians. Well, only two technicians worked on it. The third one never got to touch the car. Read on to find out why. I was told that the third technician which works on engines and coolant leaks was backed up. Then I was told that there was 1 car in front of me. Then by the end of the day, I was told it wouldn't be looked at until Monday. For all these communications I had to call them. They never sent a single text. But they did call ONCE to tell me they diagnosed the issue as a broken hose leading to a coolant leak. Monday - I call in at 11am. This time I speak to a different service advisor, who I then tell what I was told on Friday. He says the car hasn't even been diagnosed and there's no such thing as "1 car in front of mine". They are backed up and that's all the info they have. Right away I know this is BS. But I give him the benefit of a doubt. I call again at 3pm. Still no diagnostic to determine the cause of the leak. I leave the car with them again. This time, they tell me, latest they can get an update is 1-2 days, with Tuesday being the earliest. Tuesday - I call at around 10am. Still no update. I tell them im taking the car. And all of a sudden they will seek an update and call me back in 10 minutes. 30 minutes pass and no call. I call them again, no update. In fact, no one actually sought any update. Instead they just read the computer to see if the technician wrote something lol. It's a joke. I call one more time at 2pm, still nothing. I give them one more chance and leave the car. Wednesday - I show up and take the car. They print out the paperwork for the completed work and I get charged. I take the car and leave. Total days to get it diagnosed? 3 days. And it never happened. I then take the car to MISSION AUTO CARE who diagnosed the leak in less than 40 mins and repaired the issue in less than 2 hours. And, get this, they text you updates, they call you to explain, and they provide pictures of the work. They even give you a breakdown of the issue they found and never force or pressure you into paying for other recommended work. They give you the breakdown of the work needed in the text updates and it is very clear, very professional, very courteous. These guys will receive a 5-star review from me very soon. Now, if you read this far, you're wondering if you should even consider buying from this dealership. Well, remember that car dealerships tie service packages to their service centers. So, unless you want to deal with a bunch of disinterested, unprofessional service advisors, then STAY FAR AWAY. This place needs a strong management to get these guys to actually do their jobs properly. In my experience, the technicians are not the issue. The issue is that these "service advisors" are useless. I do not know if this is by design or if they are just scared of the technicians to go ask in person where things stand as far as repairs and diagnostics test are concerned. I get the sense that these guys are told "read what's on the computer and dont go back there". So, if this is true, then it makes their ability to provide a good service to customers extremely limited. There needs to be some kind of open communication between advisors (the messengers) and the technicians in a way that a customer does not even need to call for an update. Send the update via text like MISSION AUTO CARE. Just do something professional. So, if you value your time, your money and if you want PROFESSIONALS handling your vehicle, do NOT take your car here. And remember, if you buy from this dealership and the service package is tied to this service center, you will have many moments of frustration. I was signing a new lease and traded in my car as the down payment, everything went smoothly, both parties signed the contract and I drove off the lot with my new lease. They call me 2 hours later asking for $1,500 for something that was THEIR mistake. Absolutely ridiculous. You can't sign a legal binding contract and ask for more money after the fact. If this was anybody else that didn't know the law they would have been completely scammed out of their hardworking money. These car salesmen think they can bully you and extort more money out of you because they can. It was 2 of the TOP managers there as well trying to argue. One said "the contract is not final till I SAY it is". Another, "yes it was a mistake, how about we settle 750 750?" How does someone admit to a mistake they made and try to make you pay for it? Especially after a legal contract was executed!? Do not go here. Do not support them. They don't care about you and only see you as a $ sign. They sure show a nice facade. I'm sure half of the nice reviews here don't EVEN KNOW they were probably scammed during their transactions. Watch out for a man named "Cory". He was our salesman and wants to deny all of this and hangs up on our calls. The top managers were the most rude and were the ones ultimately trying to scam us.
