Thanks for nothing Alamo. Luckily due to absolute TOP NOTCH service from their competitor next door I was only a few minutes late to her service. The competition went out of their way to find a car (they didn't technically have any) and let me have it for a few hours.

We rented a Chevy Malibu and got the car quickly enough, but before we hit the street the car started jerking and then stalled on us with a notice on the dash saying to shift to neutral. My wife restarted the car and we got about halfway around the block before jerking abruptly to a stop as the engine shut down again. We managed to nurse it back around to the return side of the lot where we were told they would do a vehicle swap for us. They were totally casual about it like this happens all the time, but all I could think was we were about to drive across Dallas on the freeways out to Rockwall. If the car had died on the 635 we would have been screwed for sure, or even better yet seriously hurt in a crash as the car shuts down on a freeway. I called their customer service department today to discuss it with them, as I lost sleep last night thinking about how bad it could have been. They said they were going to escalate it to their management team, but I haven't heard back from anyone yet. In the meantime my wife noticed the check engine light has come on in the replacement (you guessed it, Chevy Malibu) and won't go off. So I'm just feeling super uneasy driving this car around and will certainly avoid renting from Alamo in the future as they are clearly not servicing their fleet. My family's safety is worth more than saving a few bucks on a sketchy rental.

It was a Wednesday, mid morning and I did not have to wait long for a shuttle bus to the rental plaza. Elliot was the driver and got us there safely. They had a decent choice of cars, I chose a small jeep. The check out line was slow but they opened up more lanes as the line was building. The return: Kat checked me in when returning the car and was very quick and pleasant. Strange thing is there was an extra key fob in the jeep. I told her about it and she actually thanked me for telling her. The return shuttle process is really bad. So many people on the shuttle yet they keep adding people that are going to the plaza. They should empty the buses a little more or run more to relieve the crowds. Lots of people getting on and off. We had to shuffle around with big bags, reaching around people, some had to get off in order to let others pass. I got my receipt right away via email.

My phone was showing me that my Apple Watch was located by GPS at enterprise still when they emailed me back and said that they were not able to locate my watch. I tried to submit another lost item claim, but apparently there is a 60 day limit on how you could report an item lost, which is absurd. That watch was expensive and I need it back. also it is IMPOSSIBLE to get an american on the phone that is acutally present at the location, they route the call overseas every time. good luck you will need it.

When I booked my two reservations the customer service agent was very helpful and I paid at the time of booking. Things took a turn at drop off, my reservation was for 24hrs from 1pm-1pm the following day at another location. When I arrived, the location closed at 12 noon (Saturday), however the front desk employee was there, I advised him that I had a 1pm drop off time, he instructed me to drop the keys off in the key drop box near the door. So, I did later to find out that they charged my card for an additional day on 9am the following Monday morning. My second reservation was to pick up my vehicle from the same place I ended my first reservation at. When I arrive that following Saturday for pick, the same employee was there behind the counter. (Before I go on, after I made my initial reservations, I needed to an adjustment to the drop off day on the second reservation but was unable to reach the office. Customer service that I make the adjustment at pickup). So, I arrived to pick up the vehicle and spoke with the agent at the service desk about needing to make a slight change on the drop off day and time as I had an early flight the next morning out of Love Field. The agent said, "since the drop off time was still within the 24-hour rental period I would not receive and additional day charge unless the vehicle was dropped off after the initial pick-up time, which is 9am". I signed the papers and went out to the vehicle; it was a new vehicle covered in dog hairs. I went back inside the location, the agent said the detailer wasn't there, but he would take care of it and he did. My family and set off on our four-and-a-half-hour ride back to Dallas from our wonderful family cruise. We filled the gas tank in Rice, Tx and preceded to my daughter's house. The next morning my husband and I headed off to the airport for a early flight. We stop at the 7/11 on 6748 Shadybrook Ln to top off the gas before we arrived at Budget car rental garage for early drop off as instructed on their website at 5:15am. I was pleased and grateful that they provided shuttle service to the airport, I tipped the driver a made it to my flight with no issues. I thought to myself, all in all we had a great trip! But when I looked at my final invoices with Budget, I was charged for additional days on both reservations and fuel charge on my second reservation. I've called and spoke with customer service, the first agent was helpful but the call was dropped while in transfer. Everyone I've since has been ......I just don't have words I want to like type to explain. They have requested that I send proof that I filled up the gas. Lastly, they recharged my card for the same amount I paid at the time of the reservation. I used this company because I use to work for them.
