This rental facility was close to our hotel so I grabbed an Uber and headed over here to pick up a car. When I arrived, there were two people Working with the two representatives there. The facility was not the cleanest or best kept. The lady behind the counter said that she would be with me as soon as she was done with another customer. The other gentleman did not greet me at all. I sat down and waited for 20 minutes and no one said anything else to me while they continued to work with the same two people. The lady behind the counter seemed to be working with the gentleman, but the guy behind the counter seemed to just be chatting . Notably he complained about all of their SUVs moving to Ford. After 20 minutes, I asked when I could expect to be served and he said when I'm done. He and the lady had both gone outside to get people cars, presumably. When they came back in five more people had come in behind me and then finally the gentleman behind the counter seemed to have a sense of urgency and actually want to help people. The lady who worked with me was very nice but overall it was just an unpleasant experience because the wait was extremely long, there was no sense of time or urgency, and the facility was not well kept. However, I gave them two stars because the lady who helped me was nice and because my experience returning the car at the airport was excellent.

I dropped it off that Friday afternoon shortly after 12 because I stopped and filled up the gas. The guy asked me if I wanted a print out or the invoice sent to my email. I opted for it to go to my email. The next morning I wake up and I was charged another day at 138 dollars for the day. I go up to hertz and I said to him you owe me 338.00 he hands me an in voice showing he charged me for 1 gallon of gas after I had already completely filled it up. He paid me back 327.00 instead of 338.00 charging me for the day that the car was already returned back to them instead of charging me what I already prepaid for online. And then charged me over 13.00 for 1 gallon of gas. This place is crooked. They should be ashamed of themselves. If you do go here get your receipt the minute you bring the car back. Take a picture of the gas tank and inside and outside of the car. Keep your receipts for the gas.

I didn't appreciate having been treated and stressed out in such a way because the issue was me not having enough emergency contacts of mine information to be provided. my identification and payment source was prepared as I had plans to attend too, the manager went on and lied to me while having a conversation with another person and making me feel un imporant in the store in front of the crowed busy talking with them, as I asked to please complete my transaction he stated if I couldn't give him another emergency contact that I would need to leave the store and Online I have not came across any sort of issues, or dealt with such question because it's not policy to have multiple emergency contacts. They both took it to far when they asked me to leave for not having that and as I was humiliated I did not leave with out being stressed out and a raise of my voice which made me feel like I was debating to get a vehicle I had walked into the establishment for but they wanted to feel like the winners, telling me multiple times to leave we don't want your business (but that's not up to them). This was unjust treatment they stressed me and I felt attack by both of them due to my independence and I was treated very poorly by a man who claimed he was the manager, that is not how a manager should treat customers, a manger finds solutions and deflates not become haughty and arrogant of this corporation and as a Consumer I was very degraded in front of others by the manager and his employee And costumer who got better treatment just for hanging around having conversations. and delayed all my plans. He felt entitled. that's not the type of attitude corporate company's should hire to take initiative with new customers, making me feel I was the problem over a missing second which I told him was not online, but he unprofessional kept saying he will get into trouble but as I did look at the requirements before going into the enterprise this is not a requirement showed online and it has nothing to do with the full responsibility the driver is taking when completing the contract. And I hope and pray they don't get away with there treatment towards me and destroying my plans and transactions and calling me lose underneath there nose maybe because I didn't look the pare to him. This is literally a horrible experience and I do hope he loses his position in seniority because not everyone has to be on his good side to receive services as if doing business is war and complicated.

The associate informed me that they didn't have any cars, available for my reservation .I then asked were you going to contact me since it was past 10:45am . She said yes , I'm thinking to myself oh when I get to your place you would let me know then. She acted as she could care less , she showed no remorse of the predicament she had put me in this put me in. Not even a Sorry. There is no rental company in downtown Detroit so it was a half an hour ride and $27 to get here on Uber. There was a line out the door to pick up the car, with one person sitting behind the desk. Besides the line, people jumped in front with problems re. their car and the phone continued ringing. We were offered a suv for $50 more but would have to wait longer. We spent :30 waiting. Our 2024 red Camry reeked of marijuana. When we opened the car doors we were able to taste it; the smell was very strong. I opened the doors to air it out, and it now was smelly outside of the vehicle. We left at 10 o'clock with a gray 2024 Hyundai Tucson that was pretty banged up and hadn't been washed.

Sam, the owner, gave me another used battery with the hope of rectifying the issue but on December 10, 2016 the car did not start again. After waiting 2.5 hours for roadside, the car had to be towed to my nearest mechanic and has been there ever since. Because I just purchased the car and the extended warranty just a week ago, the warranty has not been processed yet and so my car still remains with the mechanic. I have contacted Monarch Cars and asked to possibly exchange the car for another since it had this issue the next day after purchase and was told that this was the purpose of purchasing the extended warranty and just need to get it fixed.
