After many, many Ubers, and a disastrous experience with Link on Demand (they never showed), I decided to rent a car. I called Enterprise, and made a reservation. It was a very simple process. It was actually probably cheaper per day than multiple Ubers. I was given a Camry, which was a mostly fun car with a huge trunk. It was easy to drive, although a bit naggy if you went even 1 mph over the speed limit. It also doesn't make any noise when it starts, so that was an adjustment. Everyone who helped me was friendly and cheerful. While this was only the second time in my whole life that I have rented a car, if I ever need another one, I'll probably use Enterprise. Unless another company offers drop-off and pick-up services. In that case, I'll go with them. Ubers and Lyfts add up fast.

We were greeted by Ariel with a friendly smile. When I told her I had a story from today, Kelly came running out of her office to come hear what happened. Both women are super easy to talk to. I explained to them what happened to me at Ed Bozarth and the bully tactics the manager tried and they were about as shocked as we were. Ariel heard me mention the car I was looking at at EB and showed me an even better, slightly smaller (which is perfectly fine for me), somehow less expensive model that they had on the lot. We test drove it, I loved it, and we all sat down with Kelly to work the numbers. Kelly is certainly something else. We were instantly comfortable and laughing and happy to be there, our worries from the other dealership melting away. The process was smooth. Kelly got me a great rate and the payment I wanted. The was thorough with her explanations and ensured I understood everything she told me. I felt no pressure from her when it came time to make my final decision. She showed us the programs and numbers she was working with so we knew there weren't any hidden fees or numbers. The transparency helped us trust her even more. She did not pressure me to add on anything to my car but offered to help me get in contact with the right people when I'm ready. My friend and I will be telling EVERYONE we know to go to Enterprise to see Kelly and Ariel. Their no B.S. way of handling business inspires confidence and comfort. Their bumper to bumper warranty cannot be beat. The entire process was quick, easy, simple, and enjoyable--as any major purchase should be. Thank you for all of your help, ladies! I'll see you soon!

The main guy or manager at this branch helped me out and even apologized for the system overbooking and accepting reservations despite lack of vehicles. You call a number and the guy will show up 5 minutes later. Once there he started to look up my reservation, after working on it for 5-10 minutes, some people behind me started to line up. He then proceeded to take their information, look up their cars and tell them there were no cars for them (2 different people, I do think they were there for the shared Budget counter, not Avis. So I guess at least I got a car?). After about 15 minutes of him typing etc (I have Avis preferred, so they already have all my info), he says "well, we have one car but it says do not rent. so I need to go pickup another car for you". He drives to another location and back to pickup another car (20 minutes), and then starts over with all the paper work for this car. So about an hour after I arrive I walk out to my car. Once I enter the car its gas tank is not full, and has "maintenance required" light on. This guy just drove this car back from another location so he clearly new the maintenance required light was on. At this point I was about 20 minutes late for my plans for the day so I just got in the car and left. If you need a guaranteed car that doesn't require maintenance in a timely manner do not come here.

Since I'm a Hertz Gold member, once I finally reached the counter, the transaction took all of 30 seconds. It made me wonder why there isn't a faster process for Gold members whose pickups take less than a minute. I had reserved a four-door midsize sedan, but was told the only vehicle available was a two-door Mustang. Since I needed to transport family members to and from a wedding reception, this was not an ideal substitute. The Hertz representative suggested the issue was that I had arrived early. My reservation, however, was for 10:00 a.m., and I arrived at 9:35. I asked whether they realistically expected a suitable four-door sedan to arrive, be processed, and become available within the next 25 minutes. The answer was clearly no. To be fair, the Mustang itself was a very nice car, nearly new with only about 2,500 miles. It had the satisfying low growl of a muscle car, accelerated well, and handled nicely. But as you'd expect, the rear passenger space was tiny, and the low, deep front passenger seat was not appreciated by my petite companion. Overall, the vehicle itself was enjoyable, but the pickup experience and mismatch between the reserved and assigned vehicle left a disappointing impression.

The front desk staff were super polite, didn't try to pressure me into any add-ons but instead explained what was available in a way that allowed me to make an informed decision on what was best for me. No pressure. They did not have my class of vehicle in stock so they offered me something a little smaller (and cheaper). The vehicle was clean, free of odors, and drove well. Even with the additional insurance add-on that I opted for, it was still a great prince for the rental. Drop off was a breeze. When I was ready to return the car, I simply parked it in the area neat the office and used the drop-off box to return the key. The following morning I received a return confirmation and receipt. It could not have been any easier or any more convenient. I am very pleased with my experience.
