First of all ill start off with sayin i reserved a camry. Was left with a jeep compass ( not the most comfortable, lacking enough weight to pass big trucks safely on the highway) total p.o.s. I had to leave town and look at homes in nearby states. Was quoted around $300 online to rent it. Totally different price when i got there ended up payin $850 just to drive that shitbox off the lot. Will say the thing at least got decent gas milage but thats all i will say. The vehicle needed an oil change before i rented it at least that was what kept being displayed on the instrument cluster. Besides that opperating the navigation without any instructions proved to be a pain in the ass. Plus the parking break would engage every time you change a shift position ( very agravating ). Noticed a sign when you go in the office that said if you bring the rental back dirty they wil bill you an extra $400 so i made sure it was clean. When i dropped the car off 13days later my final bill was $1435.00 a hell of a lot more than i was initially quoted. By the way just thought i would add the employees were cracking jokes about a customer who was on the phone and got the camry that we requested and they were wanting the suv we were forced to rent at a higher price. Total bullshit I will never rent another car from any budget rental service again im very displeased and disgusted. read more

My review is for this location, not Avis overall. We got a bit of a lemon from the Denver Airport, and I tried to contact Avis corporate. I was on hold seemingly forever and they confirmed I could exchange the car here (about 40 minutes from the airport). I called this AM and I reached a gentleman that said he could help as long as a car came in when scheduled, but please call to confirm. I tried calling this afternoon, but all calls went to the Avis 800 number, and honestly, they were a little frustrating to deal with. I decided to just drive to the location, and the man I spoke with this morning was there. He remembered me, and was very friendly and helpful, taking care of the exchange in minutes. As expected, his phone was ringing and he couldn't answer so those calls were going back to the toll free number. Hiring is very difficult now, so I understand he was doing everything he could. I'd give 5 stars to the employee for his efforts and 3 stars to Avis -- that's how I landed on a 4. read more

We came here to exchange a car we had picked up the day before from Budget at the Denver International Airport. That car smelled of vomit when we picked it up, but it was late in the day and didn't want to wait at the long line of customers picking up cars after their flights. We just wanted to get to our hotel. We mistakenly (wishfully) thought it would improve after airing it out. After keeping the windows open overnight the car still reeked. The kids were complaining and the thought of smelling vomit for three days while we were in town was not appealing so customer service told us to go to the nearest Budget to exchange the car. This location in Broomfield is both an AVIS and Budget. When I told the sole person at the office (it was a Sunday) that the car smelled of vomit he stuck his head in and tried to tell us it was just the carpet shampoo and all rental cars smell like that. Riiiiight. Carpet shampoo. We've rented dozens of cars and *not one* has ever smelled like lingering upchuck. The guy was very dismissive and just wanted to get rid of us (the place was empty at the time). He offered either a truck (without a cover - we had 4 pieces of luggage with us), a minivan (which would take 30 min to be cleaned) or we had to go back to the airport. We took the minivan which was great - very clean with no funky odor whatsoever -- and for that I give this place the extra star. I understand we made the airport Budget's problem his problem, but the guy's attitude and unhelpfullness made an already unpleasant experience even worse. read more

He was prompt, friendly, very professional and knowledgeable. He made the rental process easy. The location was clean and the car was clean and ready when we arrived. Tim is amazing and is always looking out for best way to make you happy. I have watched him help me and so many others over the years. No one tries harder to help you than he does. If you want to, help yourself, book online so you don't have to do all of that at the counter. This summer as all summers are last minute bookings, book online. Felt like I was being taken advantage of the whole time. Will scam you into extra fees. They are double what I found in boulder. Use any other rental place dont wasn't your time. The price service and customer care we received was fantastic. There may be limitations to renting from a smaller location like this such as selection but I have not experienced this. I rented two cars in two days from this location and my experience was great. One car for my wife which needed to be economical for a business trip and one for my son who was going to a wedding. Todd (I think) hooked my son up with a nice Cadillac which he enjoyed greatly. My wife enjoyed the car she drove as well. Everyone is incredibly friendly and professional. They do have limited hours being a small store. It is so much cheaper to rent here instead of he airport it is worth having to accommodate them some. read more

I rented a car here.. and I did get a good deal. However when I returned that car (which we spent an hour cleaning thoroughly) They still charged me extra (after I returned it) for cleaning. What even worse is I specifically asked the owner to make sure their were no other charges.. He said no and then charged my card twice a month later. I think he figures we don't check our bank accounts that closely. This guy is a crook.. find somewhere else. read more

Rude employee tried to upcharge us once we got in to the store. Because someone else paid, he said they had to be the primary driver, and made us pay 13 dollars extra to be the secondary driver, even though I'm the only driver. BEWARE!!! SCAM ARTISTS! Wish I could give negative stars. Do not for any reason rent from this place. Truck broke down on a sat afternoon and I wanted to have a car in case of emergencies. Parts for my truck was supposed to be in mon-tues. Since it was afternoon on a Saturday, Enterprise was closed so I looked on Priceline and it unfortunately sent me here. Arrived around 4:30 to find no one at the store. Waited, and waited. Finally started searching, nobody anywhere. I mean deserted, not in the bathroom, nor in the back. Yelling w no answer. Finally about 20 min later a guy comes walking in from the alley behind the store. I explain my situation and let him know that I may need to extend my reservation if the parts don't arrive. "No problem" Anthony says, "just call us direct and we'll take care of you." I drive the car home, never even use it. Flash forward to Monday. I found out that the parts were gonna be a few more days. Call up as instructed, and they want double, for the same POS Kia that I hadn't even used. Fine, I'll return it, and call up enterprise, (who picked me up from there and gave me a Cadillac for half the price.). Arrive at 2:00, and wonder of wonders, at least someone is there. Tim Sawaged, agency operator, asked if I filled it up, yes 2 whole gallons since I didn't use it. Then he gives me a deprecating look and goes to check the car. Comes back and says he's going to charge me a cleaning fee because I smell like marijuana. I kindly explained I own buildings that people grow marijuana in, and that I don't smoke, and did not smoke anything in that car. He said he didn't care and that he was gonna send it out to detail and would charge me accordingly. I tried to explain if I were a fisherman, I might smell of fish, but sometimes you can't fix stupid. In addition, I just saw that he charged me for bringing it back at 2:00, even though I picked it up at 4:30, and didn't get helped until 5:00. Do yourself a favor and never, ever use Avis. I tried renting a car here. I received confirmation that I was able to rent being under 25. But the customer service representative started off the conversation less than friendly. I tried rebutting to him that I signed a waiver but he waited until the last minute to tell me he required a major credit card. I said "thank you for your kindness" and he called the cops on me! The police did show up as I was waiting for a Lyft driver to pick me up since they refused to rent me a vehicle. I explained them the situation. Apparently the representative told the police I was a threat and that he thought I would kill him?! Talk about judgmental! Do not give these nazis your business. read more
