    Okay. I rented from here because I really needed a car, despite the reviews, and I'm glad I did. I had originally rented my car for 1 day but had to extend it due to bad news from the mechanic. They made extending the time super easy but when I got my bill, it was much higher than what was quoted over the phone. I expressed to the Manager my concerns and the went right to work, looking for what might have caused the mis charge. They saw that the system had an error in my return date, due to the extension, and re issued me a new total that was even less then before! Now the good part. I left my Costa sunglasses in the car. A $240 gift from my mother was left in a compartment when the car was returned. I filled out a 'lost and found' slip online and was told that the car was already out for another rental. Bummed I just hoped for the best. A week later I get an email saying that the car was returned but no sunglasses. TODAY I get a call saying that they did a detail clean and found them!!!! I am so happy that they were returned to me. Thank you Avis at TUL!!!

    After another Avis location failed to produce the reserved for an SUV for an out-of-state…read moreThanksgiving trip, we reserved and prepaid another one with this location. We arrived to find that the promised vehicle was not available. The only two car options were nothing close, but we settled for the KIA Sportage (lower level car but no reduction in rental charge). During our trip, we experienced both steering and tire issues with this car. When we attempted to contact Customer Service, their automated system put us in an endless "loop" that never allowed us to reach someone to help us resolve our issues. We had no choice but to forge on, wrangling a drifting car and stopping to address tire pressure drops. Then, to add insult to injury, we had problems starting the engine as we embarked on the final leg of our trip. It was disconcerting, to say the least. When I returned the vehicle and shared our experience, the attendant's response was that the issues were not their responsibility...the cars are maintained at the airport, and this location gets what they are given. The utter disregard for the safety of customers is very disappointing. Avis, and especially this location, will no longer be a consideration as we seek a future rental for one of our frequent excursions. If you are shopping for a quality car rental experience, scroll on and avoid the risk associated with folks who couldn't care less.

    Arrived at the airport and decided to do the online check in as prompted from my text as it says,…read more "to save time". Took a picture of front and back of my license and added my home address. Check in complete- please proceed to the Hertz counter. When we arrived at the Hertz counter (which is the farthest one away in the garage ) the woman was rude. I politely said hello and my name, and she just snapped I need your license! I said I already did the online check in, she said again I need your license! Okay, no problem. She said I need a credit card for a $200.00 hold, put it in the machine. I did and she starts typing in the computer. She asks if I want the extra insurance and if I want to pre pay for gas - no thank you. She said your car is number 14 over there! I asked what kind of car I was given and she finally told me. No thank you, goodbye, nothing. The car was a 2024 Nissan Rogue and drove great with plenty of room. However, the car was completely out of windshield fluid and the front seats were all stained. You would think with a brand new car they would have it detailed to keep it looking good for customers. When we returned the car at the airport, I mentioned the windshield fluid and the man said yeah they are supposed to fill that up when they wash the car .... I now know why the reviews are so bad. Rude customer service and no one does their job. We usually use Enterprise when we rent a vehicle, but decided to give Hertz a try. Well, goodbye Hertz, we are returning to Enterprise!

    ILLEGAL ACTIVITY: On 9/28 around 1744CT I call Hertz (918) 742-3453 Peoria location to let the…read morestaff know I was returning a 2022 Red Chevy Equinox because I had a plane to catch; spoke to a lady and was told no problem just drop keys in drop box and she'll close the ticket out for 9/28 in the morning. Around 1805 I park next to Roundhouse Consignments, locked the 2022 Red Chevy Equinox at the 4945 S Peoria Ave location, walked up to Hertzdoor and dropped off the keys in the drop box. I left to catch a flight to WA state. 9/29 around 0844PST I called Hertz (918) 742-3453 staff to confirm the car was returned, ticket was closed and I complained about car not being cleaned when I got it because my son found a cigar underneath the driver seat. The lady confirmed the ticket was closed and said there were no problems. No charges were to be placed because it was through my insurance. On 10/6 I received a charge from Hertz. I called the Peoria branch and spoke to Sandy she stated the car was returned 10/4 by Dropbox; I told her I dropped it off 09/28 and her staff confirmed the ticket closed 9/29; she stated she would investigate and get back with me by 1300CT 10/7. However, no one called; I called but was told she was out of the office. I called the District Manager Jennifer in the Memorial branch 10/10 and she stated according to GPS the car was never at the location on Peoria on 9/28. I filed a police report. On 10/13, A branch Manager told Detective Shaw the vehicle was at the Tulsa Peoria location on 09/28. I still haven't received my money back and apologies for charges/my time. DO NOT TRUST HERTZ!
