You really cannot best their lunch special with 3 dishes for $30. I had the Greek salad, shrimp, and hummus. Everything was fresh and flavorful and we left stuffed.

Came here on my own after walking along the lake. Overlooks a small park with lots of dogs such a peaceful view. Inside is spacious with a bar and tables. Enjoyed great service. Minus one star for a very loud table with a guest that was cursing loudly maybe tipsy from early happy hour. The hostess gave me a look of solidarity as I walked past to go to the bathroom but really they should've asked them to keep it down. The food and wine were delicious and fresh especially the salad. It was a lovely place to have a solo early dinner.

his was dinner reservations before a performance at the Harris Theatre. I found this place from recommended restaurants listing on Harris theater website. The customer service was great. We were greeted by the restaurant manager, hostess and waitress. The table was nice and chic. We seated by the window. Great views Chicago loop high rises and seen nature at its beautiful element. The geek Salad was fresh , large portions of vegetables. Humus and pita bread were spicy and addictive. Soup with basil OMG. Caliarmri were breaded just right. The drinks : tropical margaritas and Chardonnay were very good and generous.

The staff was helpful and friendly and very patient with our group of 10. This is a beautiful restaurant great ambiance they have private rooms to reserve for groups or special occasions. The menu lit up was cool, the food was delicious I especially like the beet salad and lamb shank, the risotto was a bit bland but overall decent, but definitely need more flavor especially pairing with the amazing lamb. It looked like the parking was closed so that was inconvenient but would definitely recommend coming again.

This place was some of the best Greek food I've EVER had, I forgot to take a picture of the chicken fourno, but everything from the presentation of each appetizer (especially the flaming saganaki) to the taste and mixture of all of the flavors pairing in each dish, amazing. It is a bit pricier, but not unreasonable whatsoever, will absolutely be stopping here again the next time I'm in Chicago.

Such a delightful meal. Fresh, light tapas styles Greek food, with a cute atheistic perfect for an intimate gathering. The server was super friendly and helpful in guiding us through the menu. I'm definitely going back!

Such a beautiful space. The space alone, with light colors and walls of windows, makes it easy to like this restaurant. The elevated Greek food did not disappoint. We really enjoyed the tzatziki and pita and the fried eggplant and zucchini appetizers. Amanites pasta was a standout vegetarian option, while the lambchops were perfectly prepared. Among the spirit-free cocktails, the Eros and Ice was nice, but a little sweet for me. I ended up trading with another member of our party who had ordered the Mythic, which was one of the best spirit-free cocktails I've ever had. We were both delighted with the trade. Prompt and friendly service made this a terrific dinner. Looking forward to going back in the winter to see the views of the snow in the park.

Hey fellow Yelpers! This is my first time ever trying Avli. Avli is right near a hotel I went to for a conference for work. The outside was very cute and inviting. I ended up getting the $30 lunch special and the food was very delicious! Atmosphere: The atmosphere is amazing!!! When I walked in, a part of me felt like I was transported to somewhere in Greece. They had party rooms and the bathrooms were very clean and fancy. Customer Service: All the staff I interacted with were really nice, polite, & attentive. Waters were refilled without even asking, the waitress checked in from time to time to make sure I was having a good experience, and the wait for all the food wasn't too long which was awesome. Food/Drink Items: There were good allot of options on the menu. I decided to try the $30 lunch special to try a little bit of everything. For the 1st course, I got pita with tzatziki. The 2nd course I got was Greek salad. I kind of wish the Greek salad had lettuce since it consisted of cucumber, cherry tomatoes, peppers, red onion, & feta cheese. For the 3rd and final course I got the chicken souvlaki. The 1st & 3rd course are absolutely delicious and dishes I would get again. Website: https://www.avli.us/avli-on-the-park | Menu (Lunch Specials): LUNCH SPECIALS Overall Experience: Overall, I had a great first experience going to Avli. Everything from the atmosphere to the food was amazing! Avli is a little more on the pricer side, so I totally recommend doing the $30 lunch special. I hope this review help Avli on The Park, Avli in general, & its current and future customers. Have an amazing day!

This was my first time at any Avli location. This restaurant is so beautiful! The restaurant week brunch menu was well-rounded. Included a salad, an appetizer, and a main dish. I even up having some leftover since the plates were decent sized. Every single dish was really tasty except the chicken which seemed to be a little dry. The service was wonderful. All the dishes came out at perfect time and our server was lovely. The staff had written and signed a card for our anniversary :) Overall, it was a really great and delicious brunch and I can't wait to go back!

Avli is probably my favourite place for all types of moods. Best suited for either a party, or an intimate dinner. For someone who's not interested in a heavy meal, their pikilia platter is the best with roasted potatoes and their pair it with any of their wines and dessert, you'll be set! 100% recommend the taramasalata and their tirokafteri! Their bartenders make the best gin based drinks in my opinion! Try their rooftop during sunset if you're looking for an interesting set up or else their indoor view overlooks the park which is always a delight!

We enjoyed the atmosphere of the rooftop. We ordered the three spread appetizer Pikilia to share having hummus, tzatziki, and a smoky eggplant Melitzanosalada spread all very tasty. We then ordered the Taverna lamb chops with a side of roasted potatoes to share. There were four lamb chops, but the meat was a little tough but decently flavorful, but would not order that again. For dessert we shared the Caldera, flambéed vanilla bean gelato with a walnut crunch and biscuit. That was delicious! Staff was friendly and attentive.

Great setup.. Great service... Party of 15 and the server took care of so great. I ordered the whole red snapper and it was so good with the lemon and oil it came with a side of grilled broccolini. This place is top-tier good vibes good energy all night long friendly staff..

Was lucky enough to come here for a work lunch with a big group and that is definitely the way to go. We ordered almost all of the small plates and none of them disappointed. The calamari, pita, and lamb small plates were my favorite but you can't go wrong in whatever you pick. Service was just as excellent as the food was.

Part of me wishes that we got the chance to sit down inside, but maybe that will be the excuse to come visit another time. The Blueberry Clafoutis was my favorite dish. The blueberries were sweet, and it was like eating a blueberry crepe/pancake. The sweetness level was not overpowering, which was what made this dish so enjoyable. The "Bhel" Hummus and Spicy Whipped Feta were both very tasty. I loved the fruitiness of the "Bhel" Hummus and loved how the Spicy Whipped Feta had its pomegranate bits. Aba Restaurant review -- Fulton Market, Chicago…read more This was my husband and I first time visiting Aba Restaurant, and we left impressed on every count. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out. We had an 8 PM reservation, but since we were in the area early, Chris B. kindly accommodated us for an earlier seating. We settled on the rooftop deck, which set the mood with a vibrant, buzzy vibe. The service was outstanding throughout. Our waiter greeted us promptly, with a trainee at the table. (My apologies for forgetting their names). Both were exceptionally pleasant. The trainee did a superb job walking us through the menu, explaining the concept of ordering. We decided on a variety of dishes, and Aba delivered: - Wild Mushroom Hummus: A smooth earthy dish with roasted mushrooms folded into a creamy hummus, finished with truffle oil and herbs. Yummy! - Tuna & Watermelon: A refreshing pairing of tender tuna balanced with juicy watermelon, cucumber, pomergrant seeds and mint. Loved it! - Green Chili Shrimp: Served in a metal dish used for escargo. The shrimp were covered by breadcrumbs and lots of butter with a slight kick to it. Great for dipping your bread in. It did not disappoint! - Pan Seared Halibut: A perfectly seared, delicate fillet, moist and flaky that highlighted the fish's clean, buttery profile. And from the cocktail menu, the Aloe? It's Me. It has a kick to it. Loved it too. Everything was excellent--the food was inventive and delicious, the service was great and the rooftop ambiance added a memorable layer to the evening. Highly recommended for a refined yet relaxed Chicago dining experience.

I highly recommend getting the crispy potatoes as well! I have never tried shakshouka with meat in it before and didn't love the texture. However, the flavor was sweet and savory! The only thing that was not ideal was that an optional surcharge was on the receipt, when we tried to get our server to help remove it per instructions on the receipt no one was to be found. That was disappointing and potentially strategic? I would have rather just tipped. I'm not sure how others feel about the surcharge?

I was really excited about the limited menu because I wanted the shredded lamb shoulder. Our reservation was at 5:30... About as early as you can get for dinner and yet they were already sold out of the special so that was really disappointing that they would be so unprepared for one of the most popular dinner date holidays of the year... Alternatively, we went with a bunch of appetizers and split two entrées. Somewhere delicious somewhere very mid and somewhere a let down. Here's the breakdown: - Fried zucchini chips 5/5 - one of my favs in the city - Octopus 2/5 - one of my least favs in the city... it lacked flavor, was a small portion for the price and had a gooey string that grossed us both out - Fish spread that started with an M... haha 5/5 - I can't remember the name, but this was delicious! It was definitely pricey for the portion though especially because it didn't include pita... We had to pay an additional seven dollars for two pieces of pita, which was ridiculous - Oysters - 4/5 - husband enjoyed - Katifi cheese pie 4/5 - very tasty! Sweet and pricey but worth it - On special - fried fish- 2/5 - the waitress described these as small bite-size fish, but that is not how they came out and instead, it was really difficult to debone them and you hardly got any meat out of it. The flavor wasn't bad, but the experience was disappointing. I will say that they comped these after our feedback. - Gyros - 2.5/5 - it's not that these were bad per se... But I've had way better in the city to include fast, casual restaurants, and the price for the portion was pretty ridiculous again. Hardly any accoutrements. - Rockfish with pistachio brown butter - 5/5 - I believe this fish was on special and she described it as being a sweeter fish. They did come to the table and cut it for you so it was a lot easier to eat. The fish was cooked perfectly and had a sweet flavor. I also liked that you could choose your own dressing because the brown butter pistachio was delicious. - baklava froyo 3/5 - i'll bump this up to three because my husband liked it more than I did, but I was very disappointed by this dessert. The Greek yogurt was sour as to be expected, but instead of having actual baklava or pistachio flavor to balance it out, it basically just tasted like they dumped simple syrup on it and it was like a sour ice cream with just pure sugar drizzle... It really didn't come together for me. Overall, the service was really good and our waiter was very sweet. Also, our wine was delicious and the zucchini chips and fish spread were good, so maybe we would come for appetizers and drinks, but I definitely wouldn't return for a Greek dinner with the other options we have in the city.

I opted for the chicken kalamata dinner for the main event, which came with more french bread and a salad. The salad came out first, and it was pretty simple with minimal dressing. I wished there had been more variety in produce and something besides iceberg lettuce for greens. I'd recommend getting some feta on the side to add some flavor. The chicken, however, was absolutely outstanding. It was super tender, seasoned beautifully with za'atar, and brined in vinegar (I think). The za'atar seasoned french fries underneath were extra crispy and perfectly soaked up the extra sauce from the chicken. I can't say enough good things about It's Greek 2 U. My boyfriend and I went there on our first…read moredate nearly six years ago, and make a point to come back a few times a year. We bring friends, family, or just go the two of us. Not only is the food amazing and it's BYOB, but the owner, Vicky, is just incredible. She remembers us, asks how we are, and brings so much light to each of our visits. My recommendations: The spread sampler (Pikilia) Vicky's Salad or the Village Salad Saganaki Greek fries or oven roasted potatoes A main We also tried the desserts last time (why haven't we always gotten the desserts!?) and they were DELISH. We especially loved the orange cake.

perfect quick but not fast meal in the area…read more.. after a basketball game on a school night we needed a quick but not fast food family dinner. this was a perfect choice. tried so hard to start the new year off right but -- THOSE FRIES! lemony and crispy. delicious. i really wish there was a build your own appetizer (spreads) platter bc that's my favorite part of greek food. i settled for the zucchini pancakes which were good. my kiddo loved the pork belly yeero (never seen this on a greek menu) and my other boys (husband and older son) shared 2 sausage/yeero meals. everyone was very happy. the staff was happy too which made us happy. the only bummer - the saganaki does not come with the pomp and circumstance -- it's just served on a plate with a side of pita :(
