Amazing! I forgot to take pictures of the meals because we were so hungry, but we ordered a variety of dishes, including appetizers and full meals, to share and enjoy every flavor. The food was truly delicious. Service was quick and friendly, and since our group mostly spoke Spanish, the staff was able to assist us comfortably. The place is super cute! I recommend you give it a visit.

Although it could be argued, this is what a real Greek salad looks like...Horiatiki.

LOCATION: After getting off the train at Chicago Union Station, I walked a couple blocks west and found myself at the Greek Islands Restaurant...actually, I intended to come here. But, I did walk from the (gorgeous, by the way) train station. Very convenient! SERVICE: When I arrived, TGIR had just opened for lunch, so there were very few tables taken. It was a Saturday, but it filled up quickly. The service was fast, friendly, and accurate. FOOD: Dude, I've been eating here for at least 15 years. If the food here wasn't excellent, I wouldn't have been doing this. After all these years, Greek Islands Restaurant still rates five stars!!!

Went with my parents. We've been coming to Greek town restaurants and the Greek islands for many years. Over the recent years I've seen restaurants struggle and lose their edge with food and or service. This is NOT the case here. The food and service were 10/10. FANFRIKENSTASTIC! Food was top notch. Quality, portions and preparation. The lamb was lean yet moist and super flavorful. Do not miss the lamb. The moussaka was delicate yet substantial and packed with flavor. We also had beets with skordalia and avgolemono soup...all fantastic. We had galaktoboureko for desert and it was the best I've had that I can remember. 10/10. Service was warm, personal, professional and just impeccable. The people who sat us were warm and kind. Our waiter and wait staff were just stellar. They made you feel more than welcone10/10 Ambiance was very clean and very Mediterranean. Seating was comfortable. White linen service. We sat close to the fireplace to keep mom and dad warm. This place deserves your attention and a visit. I'll be back...

Came here for my dad's birthday and I hate to say it but this meal is one I honestly didn't really like. Most of our dishes either lacked in flavor or were WAY too salty. The only decent things were the salad and the spanakopita. The atmosphere was our favorite either, I felt like I was in a cafeteria and eating cafeteria food. It was very loud and hot. I will say that the service was kind and attentive, and there is valet parking, which was a plus.

Been here a few times and it always hits the spot. The family style meal is so fun with friends and definitely worth it for the price. You get so much food and time to just eat slowly and catch up.

Spectacular!! Soooo full... Cold Tuesday night and a great crowd! Compliments to Juan for the expert recommendations and the service...everything was perfect! Had the pastichio as an app (that was the first "mistake") and the pork riblets (2nd) as my entree. I was stuffed after the pasticho!! My date had the levraki and Horta and loved it all. Good times on a great old school Greek place!

Been here before and sat outside and loved it! This time we were seated inside and it was a very strange experience. My bf and I came in on a Friday night and were seated right next to a large birthday party of around 30 ppl. They were making speeches/had a saxophone player. We felt like we couldn't talk or we would be interrupting. I don't think we had a specific waitress, took a bit to get a hold of someone. The hummus and pita was my favorite! Very good, the pita was warm! The calamari was okay. We got the lamb for dinner, I didn't love it. The whole vibe was really odd. I wouldn't recommend for a small group.

This place is gorgeous and the staff is so kind. The atmosphere is very lively and can get loud sometimes with the amount of people around. The food itself was a bit mid from what I was expecting. The gyros were normal gyros but nothing too striking. The other dishes lacked a bit of oomf in their flavor as well. They have a wide menu though, so I'd be curious to come back and try it again

Absolutely love this place. Just another amazing meal and night at Greek Islands. The saganaki and the Braised Lamb are second to none. The Gyro appetizer is amazing. And the Roditis is the icing on the cake.

Was so fortunate to see Greek Islands open during the snowstorm last week. My gf was really looking forward to having Greek food for her birthday. Great reception and ambiance upon entering and we were quickly seated. Long menu with many tough decisions but Yanni helped me out. I ended up ordering the lamb krasato. Food was out in no time. The lamb was so tender it legit fell off the bone. The remote wine sauce was very stewey and paired perfect with the rice. Yanni was the man bc I had asked to surprise her for her birthday and he brought out baklava for her which was a kind gesture. She really appreciated it! Family vibes inside def worth a stop in if you're looking for Greek food!

Service was great! We had Arturo and he was lovely. We came in around 8:30PM and they were getting ready to close at 9PM, so we had to put in our orders quick. That was fine, we didn't feel extremely rushed. It was just surprising that they closed so early. My family and I used to love going to Greektown, but many of the local staples have since closed down. Our favorite used to be Rodity's and nothing will compare to it, but on our last visit to Greek Islands, this may be the closest we come to it. Food was fresh, portion sizes were great. I ordered a lamb chop, my brother got the pork chops which looked divine. Super juicy and flavorful. My mom got the braised lamb, our typical go to meal at a Greek restaurant. She said the sauce was a bit sweet for her liking, but still enjoyed it. This is a great family place. You eat comfortably and have a hearty meal. There's something on the menu for everyone. It's a super popular place for company parties and get togethers. I hope that it always stays busy because Greektown can't exist without these traditional Greek staples.

I went here with a large group. The wait time was not bad because we had a reservation. The space that we were sat was somewhat small and felt cramped because a lot of people were passing through, but it wasn't too bad. Fortunately for us, we had a person of Greek heritage dining with us, so she was able to order appetizers for the table and make suggestions for entrees. The flaming cheese was really cute too see, and it was amazing. I had the lasagna. The portion size was huge. It was kind of sweet. It had too interesting of a flavor profile for me, but my colleague loved it.
