Saganaki sticks - rich and tasty!
    Cynthia N.

We keep coming back! We recently discovered the grilled vegetables skewers and they're surprisingly awesome... and make you feel less guilty about the rest of the meal. We usually get take out. One time we dined in (an early weeknight with our toddler) and for some reason the food wasn't as good, maybe it was what we ordered. The burger wasn't anything special and didn't really satisfy my burger craving. When we dined in, we got the flaming saganaki cheese and it was a lot of fun. I wish I had my toddlers reaction on camera- she got really scared. The saganaki was delicious but I def felt guilty eating all that greasy cheese. We'll keep ordering gyro, saganaki sticks, chocolate cake, and vegetable skewers for takeout and will give dine-in another shot. They're very kid-friendly!

A friend recommended Greek Prime Kitchen & Bar and called it a hidden gem in Bridgeport--they weren't lying! When you walk in, you first pass through the carry-out section, then enter the bar and dining room. At first glance, it feels like a typical bar and grill near the Sox stadium, but the food and service set it apart. Our bartender doubled as our server, and she was fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and full of great recommendations. We started with the Greek Chicken Quesadilla served on pita bread, a creamy Greek chicken soup, and a Greek salad. Everything was fresh and flavorful. For mains, we tried a few skewer platters: filet mignon, chicken, and shrimp. The chicken was slightly overcooked but still packed with flavor. Bonus: we were there during happy hour, so wine was only $6 a glass! Overall, this spot exceeded expectations. I'll definitely be back and adding it to my regular rotation.

I finally had a chance to make it back. And they definitely have won me over. There was a group of 10 of us. They were busy and Is a great neighborhood go to. Didn't have a chance to take pictures but everyone enjoyed the food. We started with the saganaki cheese and the saganaki sticks. Both very good. The saganaki must be eaten on the bread, it's salty alone. The sticks were very good and can be eaten without bread. There was a variety of dishes people ordered. There were chicken bowls, filet mignon bowls and filet mignon platters. Will be back again.

Gyros plate and chicken platter with rice yummy!

Went here for the first time tonight. It was WAY BEYOND what we expected. Sorry Greektown we won't be going there anymore Greek Prime was so much better. We ordered so much food. The standouts for us were the spinach pie, gyros plate with rice and Greek potato (don't judge my double carb) and chicken platter with rice and fries. Nick was our server super helpful and attentive. We took home a ton of leftovers. And already making plans to go back this weekend. Definitely worth visiting or getting delivery.

I'm a northsider White Sox fan, and I had a meeting for a dj gig near Sox Park, so I decided to stop by and check out Greek Prime. I got a BBQ Gyro and a side of rice, but I got it to go so I wouldn't be stuck in traffic. I don't know how the gyro made it intact all the way home . I just ate the gyro and ohhhh man it was great. It had cheese, yellow and orange peppers and bbq sauce. It reminded me of the creative recipes the gyro spots in Greece have. You can still get a traditional gyro here though. And the rice is so tasty and has the perfect amount of garlic flavor.

    Chilaquiles Special

After being away from home for almost 6 months, the very first place I had to eat when I landed was Greek Prime in Bridgeport -- and as always, they did not disappoint! Carmen, who co-owns the restaurant with her husband Mike, always welcomes us like family. Even though I didn't snap a pic, she sent out dessert for my kids just because -- something she's done more than once. That's the kind of love this place runs on. ‍ Mike is a 3rd or 4th generation chef, and you can taste the tradition in every bite. His Avgolemono soup is the closest thing I've had to my Aunt Leanora's, and if you know, you know -- that's saying a LOT. The Greek Prime Beef Sandwich is packed with perfectly marinated and seasoned meat, and every special is so well-portioned you'll leave with leftovers (which I was happily enjoying as I wrote this ). I'm also so hyped they brought breakfast back! Their chilaquiles special was hands down the best I've had -- whether from a Mexican or Greek spot. The flavors, textures, and presentation were on point. And just in time for summer -- they remodeled their outdoor patio, and it looks awesome! Perfect spot to kick back, grab a meal, and soak in that Bridgeport charm. Before I moved to Lamar, Colorado, I had the privilege of working for Greek Prime. I can say from experience: this is a real family-run gem in the best food city in the world. If you know, you know. Don't sleep on Greek Prime. From the kitchen to the kindness -- this place delivers every time.

From the food and ambiance to the consistently outstanding service, everything is truly top-tier. This visit was just as exceptional as every one before it. We shared the Sweet Corn Hummus, Spicy Whipped Feta, Brussels Sprouts, Crispy Wild Mushrooms, Crispy Potatoes, Grilled Chicken, and the Lamb & Beef Kefta. Every single dish was outstanding. I wish I had taken more photos, but we were too busy enjoying the food as it arrived at the table! For drinks, my sister loved the Strawberry Rose Paloma, and I enjoyed a glass of Kir-Yianni Sparkling Rosé, which paired beautifully with the meal. The warm, seasoned pita deserves its own recognition. It's soft, pillowy, and absolutely addictive. Honestly, it's hard not to fill up on the pita and spreads before the rest of the meal even arrives. Our server struck the perfect balance between friendly and attentive, without ever feeling intrusive. We usually make room for dessert, but we were completely stuffed this time. In the past, though, I've loved both the Warm Sticky Date Cake and the Frozen Greek Yogurt, and I'd recommend either without hesitation. I was secretly hoping for a tiny scoop of frozen yogurt as a birthday surprise, but my server didn't mention it and I didn't remind him of the celebration (and honestly, we were way too full anyway ). As a huge Top Chef fan, it's always special dining at Chef CJ Jacobson's restaurant. I had the opportunity to meet him during my very first visit to Ema, and he was incredibly gracious. His creativity and attention to flavor are evident in every dish. Ema continues to set the standard for what a great dining experience should be. It's the restaurant I recommend most often when people ask me where to eat in Chicago, and it remains my go-to place for special celebrations. I can't wait to come back again soon! #ImNotAFoodie #ImJustAGirlWhoLovesFood #YelpEliteSquad PS: the hotel next door no longer provides parking validation.

The space is beautiful--open, bright, full of natural light, and stylish without feeling overdone. We ordered the Short Rib Shakshuka, which was flavorful with just a hint of spice and a generous portion size. The warm, soft pita served alongside was perfect for dipping. The Steak and Eggs was also excellent--the steak and eggs were cooked perfectly, and the fried potatoes were a standout: crispy on the outside while still moist and tender inside. Portion sizes were just right. We also tried both of the recommended brunch cocktails, and they were strong, flavorful, and well balanced. Service from Mike was great--friendly, efficient, and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, Aba delivered a polished and enjoyable brunch experience. I have to admit... it's not the same as it used to be. Don't get me wrong, it's an excellent place to dine at, especially on their patio during the Chicago summer, which was one of the biggest reasons why I came back. I was with someone who had not explored Chicago before so it definitely gave the city ambience while being engulfed in the Mediterranean experience. Yet the inside dining area feels like you're dining in small romantic villages in Italy or Greece. Service is still top notch. But the food is what's not the same. For me, the highlight was the crispy short rib hummus. I never thought they'd go well together but the juices from the meat blended in with the hummus and it's just soooo good. The kefta was nothing to be impressed about in which I expected more for the price we paid for. The chicken thighs were good but also nothing to be that impressed about. The one thing I was a little disappointed by is that they no longer serve a desert I tried the first time I was there, and their new desserts are average. Nothing to marvel about. Their OG desert is what had stayed in my mind all these years. You can't go wrong for a nice little date night at this spot or if you're new to the city, but it's not exactly a place I feel like I want to come back to, especially at that price. You're really mostly paying for the experience of the place.

We ordered A LOT of food and every dish was so flavorful and packed a punch. Lastly, we finished it off with dessert with loukoumades which are Greek fried donuts. Such a sweet and warm dessert to end off an amazing meal. Truly impeccable service, vibes were amazing, and 10/10 would come here again!

Yeah it lives up to the hype! I came here with some friends for a little celebration and the vibes…read moreare great. I think my one complaint would be I was expected the towel swinging + more sparklers for how loud it was in there so at times it just felt like a REALLY LOUD place to be where you also ordered up scale mediterranean food... but other than that I won't complain because the food was delicious. To start, I got the drink with tequila which was stunning and beautiful. To start, we got the dips which came with veggies and pita and each one was delicious. We also tried the wagyu meatballs which were super tender, the spanokopita which is a classic and the calamari. For the entrees, we shared the chicken and the halibut both of which were delish. We ordered plenty of food and had a lovely evening!
