Good for just dropping in. Fast. Large portions, OK selection. No overt negetives. A little off the freeway but a nice stop.

The Diner doesn't look like much from the outside but the staff was very friendly and food was great!

It was kind of like eating your wedding cake for your anniversary. I picked here because it was pretty close to the museum and had such great reviews. It I located right on the main street of their village and it can make you feel like you walked into the life of Rory and Lorelai Gilmore. The shop it self is super cute and decorated perfectly. The store front changes often to reflect the season and holiday's. They have a pretty sizable menu for such a cute little place. They other some simple lunch choices like sandwiches but their main thing is dessert- and boy do they know how to do dessert. Adam and I had such a hard time picking our something so we wound up each getting a cupcake and drink to consume there and some goodies to take home. Their cupcakes were perfect. They were light, fluffy, and moist. Their frosting was also fabulous. Frosting can go wrong very quickly. A lot of companies use far too much sugar and the frosting becomes very heavy. This frosting was on point of just the perfect amount of sugar so it was easy to lick it all right off the cupcake. Pretty much the only downfall I can think of it parking. It is street parking and it can be hard to find a spot. Also, the ability to parallel park is a plus. Overall, I would highly suggest it here and I ready have to a couple of family members who came for the museum. The variety is amazing and the flavor a are ever better!

I came to this cute bakery just after noon on a weekday in between visiting the Rockwell museum and…read morethe Corning Glass Museum. I'd seen the positive Yelp reviews and received it as a suggestion from the young lady at the Rockwell visitor desk. This is a counter service bakery & cafe. There was a line when I got here. It was a bit slow with one person taking orders. There's a handful of tables and short counter seating looking out the front window. I noticed the sweet smell of baked goods when I walked in. I ordered the recommended BLT Turkey & Cheese crepe with the warm cheesy casserole side. The crepe is large, larger than a sandwich. There is a lot of dill sauce on top but it isn't overwhelming. The crepe has good flavor and it is filled well. The thinly sliced lettuce and diced tomato help lighten each bite. The casserole is on the smaller size which perfectly suits the size of the crepe. It's very cheesy with the potatoes adding more of a texture than a flavor. I would recommend this spot for a filling lunch while exploring Corning.

But when we saw the line for ice cream and took a look at the prices (cheap) we wanted to check it out. They have an interesting set up inside some sort of shed/shack/store. You order outside and the employees fulfill your order inside. I was a little bit confused as to which of the two windows to order from as well as which window I would get my ice cream from, but it worked out well enough. I suggest a "Order here/Pick up Here" signs would remove confusion. The menu is right outside and it looks like they are experimenting with flavors. Sort of like a snow cone flavors but also the standard ice cream flavors. They have quite a variety of ice cream. I tried the cookie monster. I was sort of hoping the ice cream would be blue but sadly it was not. However, the ice cream tasted great and it did have the a huge cookie the size of a large coaster in it from the Native Bagel. (Local Wellsboro bagel/sandwich shop.) They gave me so much ice cream I couldn't finish it. While I was there the owner was outside talking to customers. He seemed pretty jovial and was really interested in hearing feedback and looked pretty happy with his business. Also if you want to meet the family they are right inside the shack serving you tasty cold ice cream. I would have to say if you spend a week or weekend in Wellsboro try to hit up the shack. You will be glad that you did.
