Love this place! The food is amazing and reasonably priced, the staff is great, and the portions are huge. We started going here because my pregnant wife stopped off on a whim and got an order of their fries. Since that first visit their fries with thousand island has become the number one craving. Needless to say we have been there a lot. They serve the menu all day, which is great because fries for breakfast is the wife's choice. I however must say the french toast is made with magic. My mother in law and I agree it's the best French toast in the world. Their burgers are amazing and as big as you head. It's quite the feat to finish on your own. My wife has had their bean tostada which she loved and had for lunch as well as dinner. My mother in law loves their sopes! She says they are hard to find and even harder to find made right. This restaurant is not expensive at all and all the food is fresh, it's a nice change from all the processed cardboard taste food out there. We love the hamburgers, enchiladas and tacos. Was in Riverside for Business and wanted to get something quick to take with me for the flight home and decided to stop at Avocado Burger for a grab and go lunch. Best way to describe Avocado Burger it kind of reminds me of Del Taco meets In-N-Out family restaurant. It has that fast food Mexican and hamburger take out kind of feel to it. You don't see too many independents with drive thou windows, but this one had it. They have a pretty large list of menu items that you can choose from. Like I said, it reminded me of Del Taco because not only they had a couple different choices of burgers, they also had a pretty extensive list of mexican food (and we're talking stuff beyond Burritos and Tacos) but full on plates of mexican food options. Prices here are reasonable, most combos and items will cost you under $10. Decided to go with something simple, Cheese Burger and Fries. I put in my order and drove up to the window. Since I was in a hurry I was keeping an eye on the clock and the food took about 10 minutes going through the drive thou. Good because everything here is cooked fresh, bad if you were in a hurry like me and didn't want to miss your flight. I got the food and went. I can tell everything was cooked fresh as I had a couple of the fries and they were super hot. When I finally got in the airport and had a chance to enjoy the meal, overall, the burger and fries were ok. Not sure if the fries are fresh cut and reminded me more of frozen fries. They do put a mexican seasoning on it that gives it just a little bit heat to it, but not too much. It was definitely an interesting twist and something I might do in the future. The burger, best to describe it is the old Wendy's Commercial, "Where's The Beef?!". They had some really good ingredients, nice thick and soft bun, fresh chopped lettuce, nice onion slices, fresh slice of cheese, a nice special sauce on top, but the beef was super thin. It was thinner than say something you would get at McDonald's. Also, the "beef" when cooked was "white". I think it had a blend of pork in it to give it that white look to it. It wasn't that it was bad, it was just it was super thin and could have easily been mistaken for a vegetarian burger. As to rating, these Mom and Pop burger shops are a dying breed. So many choices, though, it was overwhelming. I ordered a burger special and my wife ordered a Mexican plate. Neither of us could finish (or wanted to finish) our meals. And for me to NOT finish a burger REALLY says a lot about the food! The staff was very friendly and the wait time for our order was minimal. but for the time of day (about 4pm on a Saturday) and the amount of customers (6-8 besides us), it was LOUD! The place could easily seat over 75 people inside, but every noise/voice just amplified in here. We sat next to each other (as compared to sitting across from each other) and still had a hard time hearing each other. And no, neither of us has a hearing problem. My suggestion? I was extremely impressed with this place. I have eaten here before about a year ago and I remember it being very delicious. So I stopped in the other night, went through the drive-thru and ordered cheeseburger meal. She substituted my drink with a huge bottle of water. Idk what it is specifically but this place wasn't for me. I called my order in over the phone and it was very loud, hard to hear and the person seemed pretty rude. I figured they Were just busy. I went to get my food and as far as cleanliness goes, it just didn't seem too clean appearance wise, I asked about my phone order and everyone seemed confused but eventually they found it and rung me up. Wow! The menu...not just adequate but HUGE! Still, my custom order burrito is only available on one menu so far. In sitting down and taking my first bite, I was gratified to get cheese, bacon, sour cream and guacamole in my first bite. The guacamole was more of a sauce than a dip. The texture was kinda runny and about the color of key lime pie. The taste was adequate. Onion was well distributed and the bacon was well prepared. The avocado salsa...seriously salty.
