In town for training and discovered this establishment not far from my hotel. Let me just say this, I had the street tacos and the shrimp cocktail and they are both the best I've had. I've been here two day in a row and told them I'll be coming back for a third before I fly back to CO. The food at this location was a letdown. I got 2 potato tacos and they were both cold and had barely enough toppings and creama for one taco. I also ordered the asada Baja nachos, also a disappointment. Chips with a very small amount of beans, asada meat that tasted like fish and lots of lettuce. I tried this location because the food at the Van Buren in Riverside location was so good, and this location is much closer. I will be back to La Bufadora, just not this location. I can say that this location was very clean and the employees were very nice. read more

Havent tried the food yet but they handed me my birria plate like this, extremely messy. I had barely walked away, checked the bag and its everywhere. How do they expect me to eat it like this? If you've been to La bufadora, the real bufadora, you probably expect to have flavors of the sea Lydia's camarones a la diabla, the clams, the aquachiles, the flavor. If you're going to this place looking for that it's not here, if you're going looking for a flavorful meal, it's not here, if you're going for something healthy it some how still is not here. The small dry portions came out on trays similar to those on an airline, plastic and paper on top of a hip new trendy brushed steel tray. The saving grace should be the salsas and sauces but they come prepackaged like ketchup, odd, unless you are talking about the mayonnaise squirted on the 3 shrimp taco. Yes 3, rubbery from being over cooked, shrimp on a stale corn tortilla. Alright despite named after a town renowned for its seafood, this restaurant may not be known for its success in those flavors, but surely they can get asada right? No it was flavorful but only if you count salt as a flavor. Okay understandable, proteins can be difficult, potato taco? Yes a fried taco with potato. Only potato, no seasoning, no sauté, just boiled potato. It's okay though because once they lay it on the plastic tray, they put tomato mayonnaise, and cabbage on the outside of the taco. For only 33 dollars I figured out I should have just go to the other barely Mexican restaurant in the complex where I could expect my disappointment but enjoy it. read more

Tried the combo #2 and chose 1 shrimp and 1 fish taco, plus rice, beans and a beverage (horchata). It tasted amazing. The horchata has a little something different that made it taste fantastic. Plus the cashier young woman was so kind and let me sample the horchta before I committed to it. I will def. Come back. Yummy!! We stopped in for a quick bite on the way to the airport. I was looking for a salad, and was pleasantly surprised to find a grilled shrimp salad option on the menu. Not sure where the aggregate 3 1/2 star rating comes from. This was a hit as soon as I opened the bag. First off, I was there on Taco Tuesday so their street tacos are all $1.50. Trust me..... these are bigger than normal street tacos so this is a great deal. I had an al pastor, carne asada and chicken taco. You can actually taste the meat in these. So many other crappy street tacos where all of the meat tastes the same. The al pastor is the real shit. The tortillas are fresh, soft and hold up to the few bites. Their salsas, both the red and the green are flavorful, not just spicy. The green was insanely good. I also had a fish taco and it was incredible, as well. Not a huge piece of fried fish, but big enough to satisfy. Both the fish taco and the street tacos came with a big, juicy, grilled pepper that was heavily salted and just delicious. Very friendly service and a dirt cheap lunch that left me with a very happy belly and serious onion breath. Yummmmmm. read more

We made a DoorDash delivery request for this visit. I felt the menu on DD was difficult to review for an order. The photos on DD show four tacos with a no description. $3.50 was a lot for 1 fish taco based on other establishments prices especially on a taco Tuesday but I did not want to over order so I assumed it was 1 but was secretly hoping for 4. When they arrived my wife said that's all you got. Two small tacos? Yup. So lets talk taco. Ok the fish was on the larger size so no complaint there, but one question arose. When did Mexicans stop warming up tortillas? The fish taco was coated with cabbage and not much of anything else. The sauce was very very light if any and please oh please can you add some limes like shown in the DD photo. I did not get any salsa, which I asked for on the side, wasn't sure if it came with any. The tomato and cilantro which I am assuming was the pico de gallo was an insignificant addition in flavor or taste almost non-existant. The shrimp $3.50 for one no photo or description again was good well battered but the other items blanketing the shrimp mirrored the fish taco. Flavor of meat was a possible 5 but without the support of a good tortilla, pico, sauce or lime, its fish with chip. I just realized there was no cheese of any kind on it either. The shrimp and octopus cocktail was up to standard according to my wife. I do not eat shrimp so I cannot comment on the flavor there. It looked delicious though but $18 is a bit high. read more

I had the fish taco and potato taco from their location on Limonite ave and than found out there is a location closer to home in Ontario. The potato taco was delicious with chopped tomato onions mixture on top. The Baja fish taco was also delicious, good size pieces of fish but I do have to say the size of corn tortilla was not very big, it wasn't as small as the happy hour street tacos yet it wasn't as big as a regular taco. Also I was very surprised that it's not served with two tortillas like most fish tacos are served. I was curious to see if the Ontario location served them any different, but no the fish tacos there are also served with a single corn tortilla. Potato taco was just as delicious as the Limonite location. The food is a little pricey, but I guess that's what to be expected these days. This was an over due review as we ate their in August and November 2024. read more

I arrive and the whole place is closed. You should not be letting anything accept online orders if you're closed, it gets better.
