Expect a Diner! It's not fancy and the service is friendly. The reuben was good and the green beans, I'm pretty sure came from a can. But, hey I like canned green beans. The ambiance is what you would expect from a home town diner. The food is good, the prices are good. My reunen with a side was $12. Oh and at lunch it comes with soup to start..The soup was beef and vegetable, it was good. Just remember you came to a diner;)

Overpriced Sysco premade food. Up charge for any changes to your order. I read they had failed some inspections regarding food preparation. I don't need to get sick eating bad food. The dinner menu specials are $25-$30. This place is a diner. If you are looking for a quality meal at a fair price, you need to pass them by. The locals rave about this dive, but they've never had real food, so they don't know the difference. I won't ever go there or recommend. Sorry...

Food was good. Nothing special, but was a typical diner with many options. They had some daily specials as well. When in the area give it a try.

Not happy! Didn't taste homemade but manufactured! Uggghh!

I was 1st to review these fine folks' way back in 2018. I've visited here dozens of times and had lunch today. I'm a little worried! It's a big casual place and spotless as always. Floor, tables, chairs, everything immaculate. It was busy but my greeter had a big friendly smile and immediately showed me to my table. As usual my waitress was efficient and awesome. In this joint you pay a cashier when you leave and mine cashed me out quickly and with a smile. Sooooo, customer service was great all around. They have a massive diner menu but also a single sheet of daily specials and Baked Meatloaf was on that sheet for $13.75. It came with two sides, and I went with mashed potatoes and fried okra, and it was out quickly. So why am I worried. Take a look at my picture. It looked, well, processed. Like it came out of some machine. It certainly didn't look homemade. For those who know their way around food a bit, it looked like in might have come from a Sysco, vacuum-packed plastic sleeve. The meatloaf slices were just too perfect! The mashed potatoes consistency also looked processed. If it was on a cheap tray instead of a nice plate, some kind of institution maybe. Unfortunately, it had that processed taste. It was hot but it had that processed blandness that was not a good thing. Like something a patient might get in a low-end nursing home! It was edible but not enjoyable! This has always been a four- or five-star place for me but this time I'm dropping down to three stars and that's being generous. I'll be back to check if it was maybe an aberration. I hope so!

Drop in at the Avon Park dinner for some breakfast and I got some good ole fashioned southern style breakfast that was good. The service was excellent and we were in and out just before the church crowd started rolling in...

    Omelet's. ??

Ordered online due to husband getting out of Hospital. He wanted a Western Omelet. Was mostly scrambled eggs. Usually good, but this one was not. Pricey for not getting much of a Omelet. News to let people get s biscuit toast or a pancake with. Most restaurants do or they ask. AP doesn't allow. ? Basically, a good restaurant.

Meat omelette with home fries and toast with a side of ranch dressing.

-7 years of patronage! -…read more I was 1st to review these fine folks in 2018 and have since had breakfast here many times. This visit was my 1st time for lunch! Important note- This is NOT the franchise chain with a similar name! This is a different family-run, single location restaurant. Pro Tip- Breakfast & Lunch only. Just check Yelp for dinner options in the area. Arriving- They are on the Northbound side of US Route 27, hidden in the Sebring Square Plaza. They're nestled among a string of plazas and signage is not great. Use your GPS. Hint- Look for the Winn-Dixie or Advanced Auto Parts signage and you're there! As they are in a plaza, parking is almost always a snap. Ambience- Don't get excited. It's standard Florida Kitch. You don't go to an inexpensive restaurant to admire the décor. You expect neat and clean, and you will absolutely get that here. Pro Tip- Wi-Fi can be spotty due to the business location. They do have Wi-Fi, but it's restricted to management only. Not the servers, not the customers, just management! Say goodbye to one half star! Customer Service- 10 Stars! I was seated with a menu and had my drink within a minute. I placed my order within a minute of when I was ready and my food was out in less than 10 minutes. Just perfection! My wonderful server was Bobbi-Lynn. I know this because a card on the table told me so. When she delivered my check, she flipped the card over and there was a message. See my picture. So unique and appreciated! Pro Tip- As with many great places in this area, the Sunday church rush is something you do not want to experience! Here it begins around noon so beware of Sundays! Food- Standard American comfort food at its best. As they are in the city of Sebring, you might see a dish called Sebring this or Sebring that, but that's just a marketing ploy. It's still just good ole comfort food. On this visit my trusted Yelp Friend, Art J., recommended the Patty Melt & Crinkle Cut Fries so I went with that. Great job Art! My Melt was piping hot and cooked just as I requested. The caramelized onions were perfect. The fries were hot and crispy. Just a wonderful lunch for about $13 and change. Conclusion- Over 8 years, these fine folks have almost 700 reviews that average 4.5 stars from Yelp and that other site that some folks use and that's impressive. When I first reviewed them, this wasn't true, but they have matured, and I now agree! If they ever change their misguided Wi-Fi decision, I'd go 5 stars!

A large portion of the food pictures on Yelp are mine. I am eminently qualified to review this place so here you go! Arriving- On Main St., 30 seconds off US Route 27. The road is divided so you'll need a quick U-turn. You'll see a well-maintained large parking lot for your convenience. Visiting- This is a breakfast and lunch place but note that dinner type meals are available for lunch. This is Snowbird country and when they're in town I'd stay away from the late Sunday morning church rush. Trust me! Ambience- Florida kitsch and 50s-60s cars décor. Booths along the walls and the usual two-tops and four-tops. No problems with cleanliness. Pro Tip- Decent free wi-fi with no password hassles. Quaffing Choices- No booze here just fountain drinks. Of course, plenty of hot and iced coffee and tea. Pro Tip- If you are dying for an adult libation, have a great lunch here and 30 seconds down the road is a great dive bar that will meet your needs. Just Yelp it! Customer Service- Expect hustling, friendly, competent servers. It's very rare for me to have a problem and any I have are almost always trivial and rectified immediately! Food- A large, laminated sheet with breakfast and lunch on each side. Maybe a tent card with specials. Home-style, American-style comfort food brought to you in often very large portions. There are no surprises here. You'll recognize everything and nothing is fancy, just good, stick to your rib's food! See my pictures for lots and lots of examples. I like one of their several omelets for breakfast. Club sandwiches are large and fresh. The chef's salad is enormous! The Philly cheesesteak is better than decent. I recently enjoyed a giant pork tenderloin sandwich. Burgers are great. They maintain their fryers well and know how to use them so expect solid fried food. Pricing- Assuming you have a drink other than water, most of your meals here are going to be under $15 pre-tip and you will be stuffed! Just a super place for a quick and casual breakfast or lunch. Easily 4 and more like 4.5 stars!

Pro Tip- Those reviews on that other review site are deceiving by omission! Read on. Arriving- It is located in teeny tiny Avon Park but way, way, off-the-beaten-path! You would never find it by accident. It's about 1.5 miles off US Route 27 North. They are open for all three meals, but I was there for breakfast. Parking is easy with a lot on the right-hand side. Also, if you are lucky, snag one of the three spots directly in front of the entrance. Ambience- There is none. I'd call it anti-ambience. I was there to dine in. There are three or four tables but what was really happening was people were using them to wait for takeout. Surprise! I dined in and the girl behind the counter acted a little shocked. Here's the deal. You walk up to the counter, peruse a couple of menus, grab a soft drink out of the coolers and place your order. You are expected to pay before you get your order. Customer Service- There was one girl behind the counter, and she was OK. Food- Standard American breakfast menu. I ordered Scrambled Eggs, Home Fries, Sausage & Toast for $9 pre-tip. It was out in about ten minutes in a takeout box complete with plastic bag even though she knew I was dining in! I gotta say it was really good! It was supposed to be two eggs and it was easily three and maybe more. The sausage were cooked perfectly. The home fries were wonderful with a little bit of peppers and onions. The disposable plastic utensils were the cheapest you could possibly buy! I swear, this fork would bend if you blew a puff of air at it. Just garbage! I see why the reviews on that "other" review site are so high. If you presented this take-out box to me at my home, I would easily say 4-stars maybe 4.5 especially at $9! As a dine-in experience, 2-stars at best so I'm going for three.
