If there were 10 stars ~ that's what Nino the owner of this body shop deserves because 5 just isn't enough. I apologize in advance for how long it is but this man literally saved me from the hardest experience I've ever had in a car. On 1/18 I had the worse car accident of my life. I was in complete shock and in alot of pain. Car was not drivable. I had always used the same garage my whole life, had never even heard of Avondale collision but his tow people were literally on the scene within 5 minutes not only offering the free tow to him but consoling me, reassuring me that I'm taking care of them and at the garage ~ THEY DID SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST FIX MY CAR! I was hysterical, nonstop tears in fear and pain. My car looked like it was totalled but no ~ everyone from the tow truck drivers to the mechanics to Nino did everything in their power to calm me, reassure me and they handled EVERYTHING. I didn't need to do ANYTHING. He contacted insurance, he got the estimator there TWICE, he got me a rent a car, he got my car back to normal looking absolutely brand new within a short time period and then HE DELIVERED IT TO ME! He gave me his personal cell phone number and told me that if I'm ever in need, that he's family and he'll take care of it. I'm a single mom, I don't have alot of money or people around me to help but let me tell you, if you've ever had this experience ~ to know that you've got someone a phone call away that's got you is beyond a stress off my shoulders. I cannot praise this business, the managers, and the staff enough! I'm new to the neighborhood and stopped over on a whim with hopes they could give me some insight on why water was leaking into my cabin and an estimate on what it would cost to repair-this is after I brought it in to my family's mechanic twice and they failed to properly diagnose and fix the issue :/ After being greeted by an extremely friendly front desk associate, she grabbed the manager, Rick, who listened to my issue and said they would take a look at it immediately and let me know what the issue was. Even though it looked like a pretty busy Friday at the shop, within the hour they brought me to the garage to walk me through the issue and then fixed it (and tested it!) promptly! Pretty awesome service. I was in a fender bender few months ago. Never really filed a claim before and they helped me through the whole process. I got my car back and it was clean and detailed which was covered by the other party's insurance. They also helped with a rental as well. I wasn't able to get a ride home on the first day, the one tow truck driver offered to give me a ride home. Great service, friendly people. Was rear ended with bumper and minor quarter panel damage, met a guy from avondale collision at the site while waiting for the cops to fill out a report. I agreed to let them take the car and have it ready in 2-3 days. I told the guy I can easily do the repairs myself to be passable as road safe. He insisted they can do it better. During the first week they didn't do anything and I wanted to get my car out. They told me this would void my claim. So I waited and argued with the insurance to hurry it up. Nearly a month later and no car the insurance had to pay the shop 1500 for storage of my car. Which I was not informed of. So if I kept the car the shop would of got a majority of the payout just for storage and leave no money for parts or repairs. Had to consider it a total lose since that was the only way to get what I paid for the car back. In the end this shop did nothing and got paid for it. Can't tell you about their craftsmanship since it was never done for my car but I can tell you they will get money out of your pocket if you agree to go there. read more

Not the type to give any time or energy to write a review but today I figured I'd take the time and give alittle energy to write my first one and since this is my first one I hope you weren't assuming it was a pleasant service I was referred from a family member so I trusted the shop was quality but after getting bullshitted for a month a hit and run to the rear quarter panel on a repair that could have been taken care of in 10-14 days got pushed back a month I could have and should have fixed it myself and I have no experience in collision repair also over riding the rental statefarm initially set up for me with hertz and got me one through enterprise instead and surprise surprise it was more expensive and to top it off there was a basket of someone's belongings in the car seems like someone that was working on the car was using it as there own extremely unprofessional I wanted to leave it alone but since the repercussion are affecting me now I figured I'd write a review I Uber with my Impala on the side and being without my car left falling behind on some of my finances I understand that's a personal problem and luckily I have a loving family to fall back on at the end of the day when mechanical places bleed you for money moral of the story choose wisely where you take your vehicles and I'm sure plenty of people enjoyed their experience but mine wasn't pleasant on the positive note the repair was nice and appreciate that so thanks. read more

I'm only giving these guys 5 stars because 10 is not available. Above and beyond does not even explain the service that I received. My car was overheating after dropping a friend at O'hare, leaving me stranded on the interstate at 6pm on a Sunday (read: heavy traffic and nothing was open). I am so lucky that my insurance company sent Demetrius to come pick me up. Instead of taking me to an auto repair shop, he had a family member look at my car immediately. Demetrius towed me to a parking lot for an initial review by Edgar, he towed me to a 7/11 so I could buy coolant, and he towed me to Edgar's home when the coolant wasn't enough to control the engine temperature. At his home, Edgar spent his personal time disassembling and reassembling part of my engine to remove a faulty thermostat, did a test run with me around the neighborhood, and then I drove home 2.5 hours home to Wisconsin without any other issues. ABOVE AND BEYOND. Demetrius and Edgar saved me from missing a day of work, $100 on a hotel room, and being stranded away from home. Demetrius checked in with me through the evening, AND the next day to make sure I made it home safely. These are some top notch, hard working gentlemen, and my only disappointment is that I live too far away to utilize their services regularly. Demetrius and Edgar, if I ever need help again in Chicago, I'm going straight to you! It was a pleasure to meet you both, and I'm glad our paths crossed. read more

These people are amazing. I've never seen an automobile repair place that is this thorough, this meticulous about safety and perfection to the smallest detail. There were numerous "injuries" to one of our family's cars and so it all started out with the timely and superb towing service they have, which is really helpful (beyond helpful) when it's the middle of the night and you need help right away. Then their constant inspections of the vehicles as they do the work carefully is really something that puts you at ease because these people are not trying to "just get the job done" but are, in fact, like this perfect machine, all of them in that shop and in that office, with constant communication (which is a big deal), and they made this car (a jeep) look like it just came off the dealer lot. Nino is incredible, along with Dmitri (I may have spelled his name wrong, sorry), and Rick and the gentlemen in the work area. I didn't remember to thank the towing gentleman or get his name (he's a bald gentleman).. The biggest worry I had was dealing with the insurance company because in previous experiences they've skipped a lot of steps throughout a process as painstaking as this and that's why I am bringing this up last, because Nino and the crew cover EVERY SINGLE ASPECT and cover every single base and they are doing everything at that best price that you can possibly get - believe me, I have looked around, but I am thankful to God that He let us run into these people who treat you like family. This is so important in the business of the automotive repair industry and it is a blessing that this city has Nino and this amazing crew. Nino & his staff are so wonderful! I had an accident Begening of May which is never delightful for anybody! The guy who towed my car was nice enough to recommend me this place and as soon as we towed my beetle there everything went smooth! Nino treats his cutomers like family! He explained everything very clear , quoted, talked to the insurance company right away and started to fix the car. Of course insurance companies take a while, getting parts and all that to figure out but after few weeks my car looks better than before! He makes it work for everybody! 3 years warranty!!! This shop is legit and they helped us out a ton. They towed our car right away since they were pretty much on the scene, we called our insurance company the moment we got there and everything was handled. It was also super convenient because we live two blocks away. Three weeks later we came and picked up our Jetta at the detail shop, and it was like i just pulled it out of the dealership! After getting into an accident in the city, Avondale had offered to tow my car to their collision shop but instead I requested to have my car towed to a shop closer to home in downers grove. They claimed to have showed up to the collision shop of my request however, nobody at the shop had heard of or seen them. Avondale then decided to not notify me that instead of dropping off my car they took it to their shop all of the way to the city. The next day when I called the collision center to give them my claim number they said they never got the car. After talking to Avondale they made up the story that they had gone to my collision shop and then agreed to take my car to downers grove first thing Monday morning with no addition fees than the one tow that they never completed. They ignored multiple calls Monday and finally answered and claimed to be loading my vehicle around 9:30, and said they were going to charge us for the first AND second tow which they never completed, a total of $480. I showed up at the collision shop in downers grove around 12:15 with no sign of my car, then after another half an hour they finally showed up and made us pay a total of 588. After dropping off my car their driver decided to do a burnout out of the shop. I'm not sure what kind of games this shop plays or how they treat other customers but I suggest nobody trust this company! read more
