A hip and local alternative to Starbucks. Amazing coffee drink combinations (eg think lavender latte or golden turmeric), homemade fruit spritzers with bits of fresh fruit, and equally inventive small plate goods like fig sandwiches and avo toast upscaled with balsamic. With a cement floor, mid century tables and chairs, and a great jazz music play list the atmosphere is the big win. The place has gone to mainly takeout but perhaps soon we will see it's great quiet and cool vibe return. Service can't be beat with friendly staff who are very serious about their pour overs. Lucky for me my mom lives in painted desert so I have plenty of reasons to drive right by this place when I'm in town. read more

Saturday morning brews. I stopped by aware today, the barista told me about a Valentine's Day menu and recommended that I try their new latte, a blackberry lavender latte. My husband ordered the black sesame latte. My latte was delicious, not sweet and I would get little hints of blackberry, it was enjoyable. My husbands latte had too much syrup. There was two baristas that I noticed, and the phone was ringing off the hook for to-go orders.., I loved the inside and minor decor, it gave me minimalist vibes. If you live in the southwest area and try their coffee, save yourself the trip. The drinks are okay but I wouldn't order them again. My friend and I wanted to check out this place mainly for their mint mojito. We're both huge fans of the mint mojito from Philz, so we were excited that we could try some in Vegas. It was nothing like Philz. The mint syrup was way too strong, and we couldn't find any fresh mint leaves. The milk-to-coffee ratio was also different. The wildberry spritzer was not too bad. I enjoyed the fresh berries, but I couldn't drink too much of it at a time because of the carbonation. It's a good drink for summer. I also got a poblano scone which was pretty good. This is a cute little cafe for a quick coffee or boba pick me up. Their service is pretty quick and the 2 guy workers were really nice and chill. They do provide wifi but it needs to be requested. Their taro milk tea is so good!! You can taste the authenticity of the drink! Not quite sure though if its actually authentic or if they used powder but either way you can't tell or taste the powder if they do use powder! I highly do recommend it. Their vietnamese cold brew coffee is quite strong! I got it for my cousin. I don't drink coffee BUT I wanted to try it and let me tell you, this will possibly keep you up for hours! There are plenty of customers that bring their laptops here to work, so I understand why the owner opted for a less distracting interior approach. Aware has a sweet menu of teas, coffees, food and desserts as well. Boba is an additional .60¢. The Green Eye- Matcha minus the milk. It's a lightly sweetened drink... Well I think all the sweetness came from the boba. Anyways, a good drink if you want to feel healthy but also need a boba drink. Berry Matcha Latte- 10/10 I would highly recommend. It's the sweetest out of all the Matcha drinks on the menu. There's berry jam at the bottom and when you mix it thoroughly, you get a smooth drink. The ratio of Matcha to berry was perfect. Matcha Affogato- You already know the coffee in this is going to be strong. Nonetheless, a very enjoyable drink and would've been more enjoyable if they didn't forget to the boba. Jasmine Mule- It sounded good but I was not digging it at all. I think I'm more of a milk tea type of girl. Hong Kong Milk Tea- By far the sweetest drink I've tried on the menu. I suppose this is what an actual Hong Kong Milk Tea should taste like. It tasted kind of like creamy cereal and better than that shit show I had tried at Urban Ritual in San Francisco. I've tried this coffee shop a few times. I kept seeing good reviews, and I thought that I should just give it another chance. Unfortunately, I've come to the conclusion that their drinks and my taste buds are not a good match. I recently stopped in the morning and ordered a Vietnamese cold brew. I asked the cashier what was in it and she said, "condensed milk and water." Fair enough, right? Sounds like a traditional Vietnamese coffee. I took a sip and immediately grimaced as I tasted a very "untraditional" Vietnamese coffee. I think it had bourbon vanilla flavoring in it - bittersweet with an unpleasant hint of alcohol. I felt like I was having a cocktail at 8 am. I don't drink bourbon. Perhaps bourbon fans will enjoy this, but I certainly did not. Keep in mind, I asked the cashier what was in it before I ordered it. Luckily, I was able to salvage it by adding some non-dairy creamer from Trader Joe's when I got home. I was only able to drink about a third of it, because I instantly felt the jolt of caffeine and decided that it was enough to get me through my morning. There was a silver lining to my experience...MOCHI DONUTS!! They are available here, so there's no need to drive to Spring Mountain if you reside in this part of town. My favorite was taro; it was slightly chewy, not too sweet, and absolutely delicious. I'd come back again for that alone. read more

The drinks were super good! I got a bourbon vanilla latte, and it was sweet but more so on the bitter side. I also had the ube Oreo mochi donuts which seemed pretty good, but my main problem was the service. I get it they're busy, but one thing they did is that they gave me the wrong order. I ordered the notorious fig, but when I got home they gave me a COMPLETELY different order. So obviously I was pretty upset because they gave all their stuff to other people first. They also didn't call out my name a couple of times, so I didn't know if my food was ready until we asked them. The ambiance itself is pretty chill, I saw some people studying so it's pretty perfect for that. I feel like personally it has so much potential to be great, but I think that sometimes the stress and hectic-ness of it in the morning can get to them. I would probably go here during the late breakfast time on weekday when it's not as busy so they'll actually give me the right order lol. Pretty good place to come and study. There's decent seating and the communal table gives you more room to work on. I came here on a Friday afternoon and there was a good amount of open seats. Outlets were also within reach of the tables. The music they play is chill EDM, Odesza type of feels that fits the vibe of the shop. I ordered the Mint Mojito latte. Very fresh find in Las Vegas! Tucked away in a little plaza is Aware Coffee and Tea Lounge. The look is clean, minimal, and open. The aesthetic inside features a gallery wall, fun art, and several tables of cozy chairs (somewhat midcentury sheik...I clearly really liked the chairs). Let me tell you why I've come. The mint mojito iced latte. I've been looking for something like this since I visited Philz in San Francisco. Now we have our own local version of this delicacy. It's a light latte that's sweet, creamy, and packs in a really fresh character with actual sprigs of mint. My only comment on this beverage: it's very creamy by default, and I prefer a more espresso forward latte. If your tastes are like mine, there is an easy fix. This latte uses normal milk with about 4oz of heavy cream. Just ask for lighter heavy cream. I got 2oz instead of 4 and that easily remedied the situation. If you're looking to try this beverage without dairy, that might be tough but definitely ask the barista and I'm sure they'd be happy to work with you. I'm really curious to try a cold brew version of this with oatmilk to replace the milk and heavy cream....anyhow, I'm getting side tracked. Other neat things: their pastries look fun! I have not tried them yet but they little "nodular" looking donuts seemed like they had promise. This establish is [empirically] dog friendly! I've seen people bring in dogs on both occasions that I was in. If management feels different, please let me and the people know Parking is easy and expansive. I can't speak to how congested it gets during the workweek considering it's next to an office building. Regardless, I haven't had an issue yet. I'd easily recommend this coffee shop. It delivers on a fresh aspect of the coffee scene with drink options you just can't get anywhere else in Las Vegas. And who doesn't love some good ambiance and friendly staff. 5/5. read more

I didn't know what to expect when I came in. I love tea that's my thing. So it is always nice to try different spots around our valley. When I came in I was quickly greeted and given the run down of a few choices. I opted for the Lavender Milk Tea made with black tea and coconut milk. This tasted wonderful. Lavender ..is personal favorite of mine. Not to many places actually have it. I was informed that all syrup is made in house. That caught my attention most. I enjoy when an establishment can customize their product. It makes the experience that much more. Also with the different milk options such as coconut and almond ect. Interior is very modern. Bar seating, table seating, and a couple of couches for a very relaxed atmosphere. There are a couple of table and chairs outside as well. This will be nice for spring. If you want to get a nice cup of coffee and get some work done, this is the place to be!
