Friday evening before the Labor Day weekend our start capacitor on the AC condenser fan motor gave up on us. Based on some Facebook recommendations, my wife gave Todd a call. Todd saved my day, my weekend!! Our A/C broke at the worst possible time, during Labor Day weekend, on a Saturday when I was in the middle of doing flower arrangements (my side gig is floral design) for a wedding the next day. During our heat wave in Dublin (114 degrees) with the AC broken, my flowers began to bloom and wilt too quickly! My worst nightmare as a florist was happening - I was afraid of ruining my client's wedding with dead flowers! I called Todd on Saturday at 6pm (later found out he was in the middle of dinner with his wife!) and begged him to come same-day. He squeezed me in for a late house call and came 2 hours later. Todd is great. 105 degrees today. AC failed. Called him at 6:30pm. Said he had 5 more on the schedule and would try and make it by. 9:30 pm he knocks on the door. Came in and gave my AC system a thorough review. Took a Freon reading and it was fine. Found that my system had frozen over. Running all day in the heat with limited airflow caused the freeze. Operator error. We got it unfrozen. And working. 20 min visit. Tried to pay him. But he refused to take any payment because he didn't do anything except train me how to better utilize my Multi zone AC system. This is the second time I have had Todd work on our system. Upon moving into a brand new home, we discovered that our dryer was not efficiently drying clothing. We even bought a brand new dryer along with washer because we thought it was the previous owner's old dryer which was the issue. Thereafter, we got all the vents in the house as well as the furnace cleaned ($$$) and still, the issue remained. Our dryer just wouldn't work. We were advised by the guys who cleaned our vents that we needed a new dryer line as the current one was inside the wall and had too many turns and twists; therefore making it more susceptible to blockage. We called around and got some quotes...some high and some mid range. Problem was...nobody was willing to come out the week of Thanksgiving. I spoke to Todd and he was very straightforward, gave me a bark park estimate and came out to consult us on the situation that same weekend. He then was able to fix the issue by installing a new metal pipe and even cleaning the AC unit next to where the pipe was opening. He also sealed the old pipe openings with a metal piece to avoid pests from entering the house. The price we paid was exactly what he had quoted. No surprises! Todd was friendly and understanding. He gave his opinion while hearing us out and was genuinely there to help us solve our issue. Highly recommend him to others with Home Heating and Cooling needs! Todd is the most knowledgeable and competent Heating & Air conditioning guy I've met. He has replaced an old A/C with a high-efficient puron-based Carrier A/C at our previous home in 2009, and a high-efficient Rheem Heating & A/C system in the current home back in 2012. His quotes were very reasonable and installation typically takes him about a day with excellent workmanship. I recently had to call him for maintenance of the unit at my rental which didn't output cold enough air in A/C mode anymore. We recently moved into an older townhouse and had a huge electric bill. We had Todd come out to evaluate our system and let us know if it needs maintenance or to be replaced. Todd did a really through job and explained what he was doing as he went. He took apart the furnace, climbed up into the crawl space, took reading on all the registers, examined the air conditioner, went over the duct work. We learned so much from his explanations of what we had and then going through what our options were. Bottom line was that we had a really old air conditioner that is probably inefficient but doesn't really need replacing right now. He also suggested ways we could cool off one of our upstairs bedrooms and nicely hinted that the high electric bill could be due to the hot tub. Our AC went out a few days ago and after calling 3 other companies without success - these companies never called me back - I finally reached Todd yesterday (Saturday). He said he can come out tomorrow (Sunday) at 7am. I even confirmed on the phone, tomorrow at 7am? Yes, he said. I sent him a text message with our info and I even said see you bright and early tomorrow! Perfect! ....... Well, not quite. The AC went out at my elderly folks house Tuesday late evening and it was NOT GOOD. Wed I called two local Heating/AC businesses. One never called me back, and the next could come on Monday 6/17. Then I remembered hearing about Awesome. I called, Todd answered the phone immediately. I described the issue and he had an idea of what the problem might be. He said without hesitation "I will be there this evening...it may be late, but I will be there". Sure enough, he showed up at about 10pm! After he carefully removed the dead mouse that had shorted the electrical sytem he modified a part that he had in his inventory and the system was back up and running by 11.
