I'd add it at the end in a way that makes clear the review is meant as constructive criticism, not just to attack the company: Eagle Air, I think you need to be much more considerate about how you operate on the road, especially when you're driving a company vehicle. The first thing people are going to see is your company name. You have a great advertisement on the side of your vehicle, which naturally draws people's eyes to it and creates brand familiarity. We see that Eagle Air van on 580 on the way to work, dropping the kids off, etc., and now we recognize the name. That's supposed to be a good thing. Later, when we need air conditioning service, we might think, "Hey, I see those Eagle Air vans all the time. Let me give them a call." But after my experience this morning, the impression I have of Eagle Air is completely different. Maybe the driver was late to work today. Maybe there was somewhere they really needed to be. I can understand that. But when you're driving a company vehicle with your company's name plastered all over the side, you have to be more cautious about how you conduct yourself. This morning, at approximately 7:10-7:20, passing through the Mountain House area, I watched an Eagle Air vehicle driving extremely recklessly. And whether it's fair or not, the first thing that comes to my mind is: if this is how you're willing to operate a company vehicle in front of everybody, how does the company operate when nobody is watching? It makes me wonder whether the company cuts corners in other areas too. Your vehicles are moving advertisements for your business. The way they're driven is part of the impression you're giving potential customers. If you operate the company the same way I watched one of your vehicles being driven this morning, then when I need HVAC service, I'll choose someone else. And for the record, I don't mind taking this review down either. I'm not writing this because I have some personal issue with Eagle Air or because I'm trying to hurt your business. But somebody needed to say something because this is the type of unnecessary situation that can create much bigger problems for your company down the line. I reach them initially for a problem where my drain pan was leaking water into my ceilings, they upsell me telling me I need a new unit. We had just installed a wood fence next to the old unit and I asked if the system would fit, they assured me it would. Not only they left the fence un assembled (because with the new unit the fence didnt fit anymore), but the NEW drain pan and the NEW unit was still leaking, turns out that supposeddly the unit was missing some required pieces to not leak. They put the missing pieces and apparently things worked good for a year, drain pan again not darining and unit still leaking, I had to reach out to another company and pay an extra 2K because this guys are completely unreliable. The diagnostics: the unit doesnt have the proper slope for the water to not leak to the drain pan, and the drain pan plumbing also is inadecuate therefore accumulating water that leaks into my roof. These people in my book are clowns. I do hope if you hire them you get the job properly done and I hope your experience is all positive, but I can not in good faith recommend this business at all! . Edit: after I hang up because I don't want to deal with incompetence. How on earth is the system considered working good when a water sensor was installed (that never triggered) with the $10k unit (since this was the original problem) and despite of all the solutions supposedly in place my attic continued getting full of water because the not the primary nor secondary drain pan was installed properly. Three things failed, primary drain pan (improper slope), secondary drain pan improper slope so it never drained outside of the attic and the water sensor that never tripped since the whole unit was never having the proper slope or inclination. Why would I put my trust on a company that just charged me and could not even get any of these 3 things right to solve my problem? Unfortunately I had asbestos in my attic covering parts of my HVAC system and only discovered it because we had attic rats that started chewing through it which disturbed the asbestos. I'm working with multiple vendors from attic cleaners, critter removal, asbestos removal and HVAC. I called for multiple estimates and Eagle Air was one of them. I expressed how I wanted to be as efficient with the timing since it is winter and I don't want to live without heat for too long for my family. I had everything planned out to have minimal disruption and living without heat in winter for only a few days. I had Eagle Air come out for an estimate on 12/2 Monday, knowing that it will take time to schedule the actual install. I already had scheduled critter control scheduled 12/10, attic cleaners 12/11 to remove insulation and clean, asbestos removal 12/12 and I planned to have HVAC come out 12/13. The Eagle Air tech (Tyler) recommended to have them come back out after asbestos was removed to do a proper estimate. I asked if they can do a general estimate of different scenarios and he still recommended to have it done after asbestos abatement. Tyler advised that he can call his manager or install team to expedite after the estimate was completed and it looked to only be a half day job. I expressed my concern that would cause a delay in the timing I setup but he seemed pretty sure they could accommodate. Tyler was very professional and I trusted his advice and I wanted to support the local business. Well, come today 12/13...Eagle Air came out (different tech), did the estimate and now they say the earliest they can do it 12/20 next Friday?! If they were to only do the proper estimate on 12/2 as I planned it out, I wouldn't be living without heat 10 days in winter! The old ducts were already removed from the asbestos abatement company so all I needed was a new plenum and new ducts connected to 7 vents (boots and vents already installed)...pretty standard and nothing extensive in HVAC work. I just called another HVAC company that did the estimate for me on 11/25, they already gave me 2 different estimates earlier (based on different outcomes of the asbestos abatement) and I told them of my situation today and they said they can do the install Monday 12/16! They remembered who I was, pulled up my estimate while on the phone, I added to the estimate a plenum replacement since that wasn't in the original quote. It ended up being $1K less expensive than Eagle Air and can get it installed sooner. I went with SAN JOSE HEATING & COOLING! I recommend them over Eagle Air based on my experience. Overall, do multiple estimates when dealing with HVAC, but I can't recommend Eagle Air as they were not thorough and accommodating to my situation even though I felt I did my part in preparation working with multiple vendors. I had a 20+ year old HVAC system. The outdoor unit was damaged by previous resident's dog urine and broke down once in last summer. Therefore, before this summer we decided to totally replace the current system with full-electric heat pump. I requested several quotes from more than 4 vendors and finally decided to choose Eagle Air, because they have a longer labor warranty than most of the vendors (5 years vs 3 years) and a reasonably priced quote. The work was done in spring, and we waited till now to give a review because we want to see how the system works in really hot weather. So far, it works perfectly. The installation process in spring was smooth, although it seems that they had something configured wrong in the initial installment so that the heat pump only generated cool air but not hot air. When I contacted Eagle Air, they immediately set up a follow-up appointment within one week and fixed it for free. The overall experiences with Eagle Air staff, from sales representative Greg to their installment crew (the initial group and the fixation group), are all positive. I got the pleasure of working with Tim. He was god send gift to us with 100 degree weather on a Saturday to stop by in less than 30 mins to treat our issue on high priority.
