Axis Auto Group is the worst car dealership and repair auto group I have ever dealt with. They claim to be a legitimate business. But the have an enormous amount of complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau by disatisfied customers. When you bring your complaints to the Axis Auto Group. You are confronted with misrepresented circumstances that did not happen. Like in my case I tried my best to explain that I was being over charge for work that was never done in the three weeks my car was being housed at their shop with minimal work being done. I was charged $2,500 for a gasket that was never put in my car. After going to Axis Auto Group and going into their office and showing them that the box with the gasket I bought was still sitting in the office in the box. Then I was promised a $400 refund. Even though I was charged several hours more than it would have taken to put a gasket in my car. If you check the reviews of disatisfied customers. You will find the same boiler plated responses to complaints of disatisfied customers. I am a professional person and I can tell you with confidence and certainty that Axis Auto Group are amateurs posing as professionals. To save time and your money. SCAM! BULLYING! UNPLEASANT PEOPLE! 2015 Audi Q5 quoted as $13,995 on axis site and our bank's site for the financing. The actual price we were presented with upon arrival was $14,675. So that's $700 in the pocket of the dealership. Then we got $895 document fee (this is the breakdown: clerical, documentation transmittal, and computer). Then they charge you for tracker--$995-as a non-negotiable. Then obviously tax. And then: price of service contract of $2500. That's a NVP warranty they sell you and will refuse to take it off if you ask them. So the price went from $13,995 to $20,919.20. Insane, right? Now financing. This F###rs ran 14 (!!!) inquiries! 14!!! When we specifically asked them to run one inquiry with our bank Capital one, for which we were already approved! Instead, they went ahead and ran additional inquiries from 14 other institutions! We obviously, as I said, got approved with Capital one and took the car. But here's a SCAM: the dealership tried to tell us that Gap Insurance and NVP warranty is mandatory to get approved to finance. We objected and they removed Gap Insurance but kept the $2500 NVP Warranty. Only to find out the next day by receiving a call from my bank that these F###rs lied to us!!!!!! The bank doesn't require this NVP warranty to get us financed. We called the dealership and asked to remove the warranty from the contract. To which we received the most nastiest bullying assholish speech from their "finance manager" (old wrinkled armenian guy who smokes like a chimney). He overtook the conversion and literally would not let us talk. The most intimidating nastiest ugliest person there is! He demanded to bring the car back and refused to take off unnecessary fees. We kept the car and sucked up $2500. We needed a vehicle so we kept it. Lastly, the dealership sold us a car without gas, with gas meter broken, tires filled up 18 psi instead of 32 psi (!!!), windshield wipers broken, coolent fluid below visible minimum! There was no inspection done! None!! The meter will cost us $500 to replace, tires $800, windshields $70. Coolent fluid $10. They refused to do anything about it!! When you ask out the door cost before getting to the dealership they give you a quick calc but when you sit down to review the numbers be prepared for a minimum $5K markup for a "low Jack device" that's "for your benefit". They preinstall and refuse to take it off the car. Three different sales went south over this in a matter of 10 minutes. Don't worry though, the sales-fools told us they don't need the commission since "they each sell 300 cars a month". They also tried to claim there was "no interest" in the vehicle I was looking at. Yet, every other lot has these FLYING off the lot as quick as they get them in, yet this vehicle had been there over 100 days. Worst car buying experience eveeeeer. I found a car on this agency from cargurus.com. The listing price was $13K. Below are the red flags I faced after reaching there. 1) They add $3K for PDSI (safety inspection or something similar). My question - Since this is neither tax nor title/registration fees, why it is not added in listing price? 2) No test drive, if you don't agree on their (yes their numbers) numbers (full stop). Since the listing price was $13K, I thought that with tax and registration it can go to $14K or max $15K. But to my surprise the total price went to $18.5 K ( because of point 1). And guess what, even after I showed my willingness to increase my budget post test drive, they didn't allowed me to test drive just because I was not happy with PDSI. 3) Sales people treat you as second class citizen. I am not making this up, this were exact words from the young lady with curly hair - WHY WASTE TIME WHEN YOU CANT BUY A SINGLE CAR FROM OUR STOCK. My question to her is - we are here to see the car and you are here to help us see the car. Our time is more precious than yours and not otherwise. 4) Sales people try to humiliate you - The same young girl told me that why don't you buy car from other dealership (which I visited earlier). Isn't that supposed to be my decision? I am spending money, so shouldn't I decide what to take and what not to? 5) Sales people think they are either Elon Musk or mechanic, at least. - The same lady told me to discuss numbers before test drive. So I asked how can we do that without know how good the car is. So sales lady said - it is used car and is not supposed to be new. I argued saying I know that but I want to see how much the car is worth for. To which she replied "The car runs good and it is worth it" I mean why should I believe you? Do you think you are Elon Musk? I mean even if Elon Musk comes to me and talks like that, I won't buy from him. When I am on the location, why I can't drive the car myself? Why on the earth your policies are different than other dealerships across the city? I can seriously go on and on and on. But that is no worth. This is an absolutely hilarious dealership. It's in Jersey City which should have been my first clue, replete with greasy and cologne-soaked guidos posing as "salespeople." Over the phone they will tell you the only fee they add on in a dealership fee. This is the first lie. I arrived to see a car nothing like the one photographed in the showroom, with a broken windshield and big dents in the bumper. The real kicker is that they wouldn't let me test drive it until I agree to a substantial portion of additional fees (about 1/2 the value of the sales price!) that they didn't mention over the phone. So I walked out and gave them the middle finger. The guy literally ran after me down the street telling me they'd try to reduce the fees, and any other dealer will tack on fees, too. True, they will, but at least they are honest about the fees up front and don't change them when you get there. I went to another dealer in Brick (Vantage Auto) selling almost the exact same car who gave $300 discount from what we discussed over the phone because of an obvious mechanical problem. Deal was done in less than one hour. If you're looking for a used car in Jersey I highly recommend them instead. I give this place two stars and not one -- the extra star is for the entertainment value. Where else can you go where you feel you are plunged back into the 1920s with Al Capone and his shady buddies? These people are basically harmless if you don't let them take advantage of you. If you want to wander around a really bad neighborhood, visit this place, go in and fuck around with them a little, then be prepared to walk out. I want to cry everytime I think of my experience here. To make a long story short, I wasn't sure if I was going to buy this car. I wanted to look around some more. Andre, asked me if I had a job. I said no, i'm trying to finance the car with just my savings. He said I might not get approved for financing if I didn't have a job, so he said "follow me". And I followed him to his office and all of a sudden, all these forms and signups were given to me. Everything was so rushed I didn't even know he was signing me up to buy the car ... It turns out I was approved by the bank, he immediately brought out paperwork and listed a whole bunch of fees. It was AN ABSURD AMOUNT of money. The car was only listed at $24,700, but after all the excess fees they added on top of it, the total price came out to like $36,000. I was ready to walk out and he knew. Andre KNEW I was backing out and he kept pressuring me telling me that he will waive some fees for me. He made it sound like he was doing me a huge favor. $200 was waived off the fees..lol. I was a newbie driver and I live all the way in NY. I told him I can't drive the car back myself so I'll come back with a friend in a few days to buy the car. He PERSISTED that he will get someone to drive the car back for me. He promised that he would get the car delivered to my house and told me not to worry about a thing. He said " i gotchu" and so I trusted him. I had another reason for not wanting to buy the car. I just got my drivers license recently so car insurance is going to be mad expensive and I'm also under 25 years old. He said he got the hookups and I somehow managed to land car insurance from him for around $210 a month, which is really good for my situation. I decided to buy the car after all the "work" they put in for me. 1. 1st problem, after I purchased the car, Andre tells me that he doesn't have anyone to drive the car back home for me. Lol. He said all these things just to get me to buy the car. And he didn't let me leave the car in their parking lot to be picked up some other day, so i was really screwed. 2. Another problem, they overcharged me $1,200 for gap insurance that I specifically declined. PLEASE read over your documents!! They're sneaky! It took me 2 weeks to get my refund. 3. 3rd problem, the insurance "hookup" that I got? Yeah, I got scammed for that too. Few weeks later, my car insurance went up to $600 a month. And I went weeks without insurance trying to find one that works for me. 4th problem, my car didn't even pass the car inspection. I had to pay another $1,000 to fix ALL four tires cus it was in such poor condition. Anger, betrayal, distraught, despair, nothing can describe how badly I regret giving Axis Motors and Andre my money. Everytime someone asks me where I got my car from, I don't tell them where. I was met by a very rude salesperson, an older man of European descent, who told me that I could not test drive the car "because people often just come for joy rides". This dealership has to be the best scammer I have had to deal with: They have a 2018 Kia Sorento with 174 000 miles which asking price is $8995. I sent an email on 04/23/2023. Then on 04/24/23 I called and speak with a lady whose name is Genesis. She confirmed that the vehicle is on the lot at that asking price I drive 25 minutes to the location. Upon arrival, they show me the car but claimed that it needs a jump. They also had that before the jump we need to discuss the price. No problem. I followed the salesperson inside. I am then met with a Sammy who tells me the car is $17,895. When I asked him why the price all of a sudden doubled he replied that it is the dealership fees with the documents. I then asked to speak with a manager. I am met with a Juan ( I bet that's not his real name) who first asked me how long I have been shopping for a car . Then he said he added that the first price is a typo. These are scammers and people should stay away from that dealership as evidenced by the number of disgruntled customers walking around looking for answer. EXTREMELY SNEAKY & DECEPTIVE! DON'T BELIEVE ONLINE PRICING AT ALL! Inquired for a Lexus that's been sitting on their lot for nearly 6 months via email to confirm price. I was told that is the price, then I asked what the out-of-door price is based off that price, and the rep recommended I come in because they can negotiate in-person. I live 1+ hr away, still in the same state. So I call, ask the same question, the rep says they're likely putting the car on auction soon because of lot rot. He says only managers can give me out-the-door pricing on the vehicle, so I ask him to transfer me to them and he says 'sure'. He actually transfers me to a sales rep, Sergio, who takes my general information. He reiterates what the email rep and general rep tell me; we don't give that information over the phone, but you can come in. I say 'Listen, I'm not going to drive over 2 hrs round trip to find a wildly different price than what's being sold online. So, outside of state registrations and licensing and taxes, what's the add-on pricing from your dealership outside the documenting fee?' Sergio says he can't give that information. So, I level with him: 'Does the car cost more than what you're selling it for online?' Sergio: Of course it does. Follow-up question: And does it cost at least 3K more? Sergio: Well, I can't say. We purchased a Nissan Morano 2010 SUV With a little over 110,000 miles on Saturday 4/3/21 We test drove the car, and It was fine. The next day the Check Engine Indicator came on. One of their salesman Juan, told us to bring the car in on Thursday. We purchased on Saturday. We brought the car in on Thursday, Juan escorted us to their mechanic, down the road In Jersey City. The mechanic said that he reset the system, and that Juan will make an appointment with him to fix If the Check Engine Indicator came back on. Juan confirmed this information.The Check Engine indicator came back on a few hours later. The car cannot be inspected with the indicator on. My husband has called Juan multiple times, He was placed on hold twice and is now not answering our calls. A nightmare!
