The food here is really good. It's a fairly small place, but I do really like that it doesn't have a bar. The two TV screens were distracting, which is a shame because really the food is particularly good, sufficiently so they don't need other reasons to come here. The enchiladas are wonderful and I'm sure many other selections are as well. Staff is very nice, an all-around very pleasant dining experience. This review will probably fade into oblivion as other, newer, reviews take it's place, but since you're here why don't you add a nice rating if you have some nice words to say (and remember what your Mom always said, "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything"). Great to see businesses thrive in Yakima. Let's support restaurants here by being Yakima-friendly. In Yakima for the first time for an event at the Sun Dome, we stayed very close to Ay Caramba and tried it based on Yelp reviews and proximity. We chose well. The atmosphere is bright and friendly and we were welcomed well and seated promptly. Our waitress quickly delivered chips and salsa including a Mexican slaw that was very good. Drinks came quickly and our service was very friendly. Our food was outstanding. I had a shredded beef enchilada with a tamale. It was the best tamale I've had in years. It actually had a wonderful corn flavor and the filling to wrap ratio was perfect. My companion had the carne asada taco and shredded pork enchilada. Both were wonderful but the taco was the star of the dinner. The meat flavored perfectly with the onion, cilantro garnish being spot on and the tortilla would have been great by itself. We are trying to figure out a way to go back before we leave for home. Yakima has a new favorite. So good. Missed the last star for the standard rice and beans you can get anywhere. read more

We love this place. We only get the appetizer platter and it is awesome for two people. Such a great place to pop in and have a great drink and dinner. They are so friendly!!!! Visited here a few weeks ago with the family, chose it due to it having high reviews. It was not a good decision. Out of the 6 of us in our group, none of us we're happy with what what was presented. Everything was comprised mostly of lettuce. I had tacos with corn tortillas that fell apart upon touching them. I will never visit them again. read more

This has got to be the worst Mexican restaurant in a town full of Mexicans, including myself. The sauce tastes like a aluminum cans and the service was just as bad. The meat in my dish tasted like it was cooked three days ago. It used to be good. Now it's terrible. read more

Simply fantastic food in an assuming location. It's a shame this restaurant isn't in a more prominent location. When you see it sandwiched between O'Riley auto parts and a tanning salon you get the impression it will be like a Mexican restaurant at a food court in the mall. They have some of the best service and food in Yakima. I enjoy watching the staff at work, as every time my family has been there, they work like a well oiled machine. These guys are professionally dressed, work fast, but not sloppily, and treat you like they actually appreciate your business. Then there is the food. Everything is great, I haven't had a mediocre meal yet. One of our favorite places. read more

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. I can't believe all the great reviews this place gets! This is by far the WORST Mexican food I have ever tasted! My food was one big gloppy mess that I was afraid to sample it. I did and it was DISGUSTING! I couldn't believe how busy this place was. I don't think my standards are too high, I just think that people who come to this restaurant know what good Mexican food should taste like. Average, below average service. They're trying but they are not set up for success. When foods returned the kitchen guys just laugh. Poor fajitas. Lousy tasting and got charged for everything. Had to ask for sour cream, guacamole, cheese, tortillas and pico de gallo. Only thing that was good was the pico. They had to make it on the spot even though the menu states it comes with the fajitas! All this is suppose to come with the meal but I got charged for it. The margarita was weak and not good. I am SO tried of going to restaurants and getting unseasoned, flavorless food! We go to tons of Mexican restaurants, and I have never left a review. This was the last straw. The re-fried beans in my fajitas tasted like glue. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce. There was no Mexican flavor at all in any of the dishes. The chicken in my husband's salad was very dry and had zero flavor. It's called salt and pepper. Use it!! read more

I have to admit I was excited to get some Mexican Food today. I am on a diet, so I thought I would treat myself to a well deserved cheat meal. First, I have to say the restaurant is very clean; as well as the kitchen. My wife and I have wanted to try this place, but glad I saved her the trip. I ordered Arroz Con Pollo, which I thought would be a little healthier option without feeling the guilt. My experience with my dish as described in the menu is chicken breast with sauteed vegetables over a bed of rice, and melted cheese. I have to admit when you haven't eaten lunch and are eager to eat and expecting your food to look a certain way and it isn't; the pain of disappointment is beyond sad. I took my order to go and regretted not looking at my food like I usually do before leaving. When I got back to my office the bag was leaking oil all over the place (awesome!) I thought to myself, (well its Mexican food, can't be that bad right?) wrong! I actually got a garbage bag and placed it over my desk before I opened the bag, fearing I would have a Mexican Food Massacre on my hands. Before I opened it up, I heard screams of "Help Me!" I wasn't quite sure where I was hearing the thousands of echoes to save them, so I proceeded to open up my bag of food and figured it out! The vegetables, chicken, and rice were drowning in oil. I reached quickly for the tortillas to throw out a life line to save them, but it was too late...and just like that they were gone! :-( I was a little confused because I was pretty sure I did not order soup? I don't mind paying $14 for food as long as it is good (which didn't include a drink). I will not be going back to this place anytime soon. I don't believe my expectations are high, but when I am paying that much for Lunch I want what I pay for. Awesome place! We were just driving through and looked for "vegan + Yakima" on Google maps. This place popped up. Clean, bright, welcoming. Fast service. DELICIOUS food. We split a vegan spinach burrito and it was gigantic. Stuffed with beans and rice and corn and spinach. She gave us warm, fresh chips and salsa as soon as we were seated. They serve meat and veg dishes but they know what vegan means. Fresh, home-made food. Highly recommend. read more
