Save your money and find a place that has authentic Mexican food. Had been anticipating the opening, but was utterly disappointed.

Burrito was a lot of tortilla. Pretty mediocre for 12$ and I'm still hungry. RIP casa.

The service was 5 star thanks to Annie and at least 4 others who brought us our food and made sure we were well taken care of. Our food was great despite the lack of warning about how hot the hot chicken is lol. From what we were told it is also NOT their hottest dish. Receipts come with 20% Mallard ice cream which we quickly redeemed. I throughly enjoyed my 1 Piece Fried Meal (fried chicken cutlet) which had the most amazing (only slightly spiced) warmed honey which I drenched everything with. The biscuit was DREAMY!! If I could offer one bit of advice be sure to check out the side dishes on the backside of the menu. I think the macaroni would have made an amazing appetizer. Next time!

So we all met up for a lovely dinner here and the entire experience was fabulous. From our incredibly attentive (and very patient) server to wonderful drinks and tasty food, everything was top notch. We had a reservation (which you can do directly through their website - yay!) and had a couple of minutes to watch the chefs work their magic in the open air kitchen while we waited to be seated. Our server arrived quickly and took our drink orders, then gave us plenty of time (at our request) to enjoy our bevvies and each others company before returning to take our dinner orders. In the meantime, he kept the baskets of their delish butter-and-garlic-imbibed bread coming. Soon, dinner was before us. The Dude and I shared a rotisserie chicken cobb salad and a shrimp appy. Both were fabulous. The rotisserie chicken is smoked and prepped in house, and it was a more than generous portion. The shrimp was good, too, and we topped off the meal with creme brulee. My parents enjoyed their salads, and my son said his burger was quite tasty. We were also impressed that they had locally-brewed Kulshan Bastard Kat on tap. My dad had never tried it before and really enjoyed his pint. Hearthfire was a long ago happy hour staple for me, and I think I'll be back for dinner sooner rather than later!

Walked in as a complete newbie off the street and she took my order and let me pay $20 for 2 tamales/2 sides when I could have had 2 tamales/ 3 sides for $14 on special. I mean dudddde, I was looking up at the menu, the special was on paper on the counter. Would it be so difficult to anticipate I'd like to pay significantly less for more? (I did not understand that 'avocado cilantro lime' is the dressing, not the ingredients of the salad.) My husband uncreatively copied my order, only with a single change - he had one of his Tamales "wet" (with a green sauce). Since my husband asked for one of his "wet", neither came wrapped in the traditional banana leaf. (Both of mine were wrapped together in one leaf, so that might explain it - they get treated as a pair.) Oddly, though he asked for green sauce, there was only a white sauce visible. Though the container was filled with a sauce, too, which probably was the green sauce. He said it had a "touch" of heat, but not enough to really make a difference. I'm not that familiar with tamales, but I did enjoy these. We both would have enjoyed some sort of actual hot sauce, but even without it, these were quite tasty.

It's been a long time since I've seen one this creative and extensive. If I wasn't worried about falling over, I probably would have ordered one of everything . I had the Song of the Siren, which was a perfect balance of sweet and tart without being too sweet. I especially loved the hint of white balsamic vinegar. It was surprisingly strong though, so one was plenty! My husband had Le Tigre, which had guava, passionfruit, pineapple, lime and Thai chili tincture. It had just a touch of spice and a really interesting combination of flavors. We both loved our drinks. For food, we started with the ribs and then ordered the pork belly bao buns and the hot noodle dish. The ribs were cooked really well and had a wonderful crispy/fried texture, but they were very lightly seasoned. If you really want to taste the meat, you'll probably love them. For us, they could have used a little something extra. A couple of fun dipping sauces, maybe something like a honey gochujang, would have made them amazing. Our waitress, who was extremely friendly, told us the hot noodles are one of their favorites. They weren't quite for us. There was definitely lots of flavor, but the sauce was pretty rich and dense and the dish had a good amount of spice. We each had about a bite and ended up packing the rest to take home. It sounds like it's a popular dish though, so I think this one is probably just personal preference. The absolute highlight was the pork belly bao buns. I was a little worried pork belly might mean a lot of heavy fat, but these were much more meat-forward, with the perfect crispness around the outside. The flavors were phenomenal and the bao itself was perfectly cooked. Definitely order these! Overall, really good food, wonderful service and one of the most interesting cocktail menus I've seen in a long time. We'll definitely be back.
