This is my go to Indian restaurant in South Miami. I have been here many times and when I am Jones-ing for Indian this is where I go. They offer a wide variety of Indian food and have all the standard fare. They have very good vegetarian options also - just saying as sometimes i am looking for this. They have a variety of naan options and although naan is pretty simple they make it special! The samosas are super good and so are all the rest of the appetizers. Entrees can be customized to your spice preference. The service is very good and the wait staff do not write anything down. Often the owner waits on you! He is super friendly and almost always at least says hi. The place is large and there are plenty of tables. It is in a nondescript location right on US1. My advise is go check it out! read more

It's finally open!! The Chana Masala is sooo good!! Also had the Spinach & Paneer Samosas and Aloo Naan. The portions were small but still enough to share. Had to leave space for dessert! Being an Indian food junkie, I saw this place driving by and thought I'd stop in for lunch. I read the reviews here and it looked good. I ordered the buttered chicken ("Indian hot" - although not too hot) and the cheese naan which was excellent! I usually order regular naan to use with the sauce. Although the cheese naan is terrific, it also takes away from the taste of the chicken. I would highly recommend this place. No lunch buffet here. Prices are standard as are the portions. read more

If this place didn't steal my heart with their amazing and authentic Indian food, their service alone would be worth the visit. Manish is an incredible server and always goes above and beyond the call of duty. Their samosas are some of the best I've had and I die for their special biriyani. I love Indian food, but this place wasn't quite for me. We came here on a Saturday night at 8:30 and were expecting a nice atmosphere for a date night. We entered into a verrrry bright space that could really use a boost in the decor. The lighting was wayy too bright, combined with the bright colors and very casual furniture, it looked like we were walking into a diner or cafeteria. I suppose for a family outing for small children, the bright lights would keep the kids awake, but they really just need to turn those down to create a little more of an intimate setting and to not call attention to the ceiling. The service here was very good, which is always appreciated. They bring you a nice appetizer or crackers and some kind of dip that I really liked. We ordered the lamb samosas for an appetizer and they were very good. My husband had the Seekh Kebab and I had the Chicken Madras, and we shared the rosemary Naan. Both of us really enjoyed the flavors. My husband ordered his "spicy" and was happy with it. I ordered mine mild... and my mouth was burning. As much as I love Indian food, I cannot handle spicy.. at all.. hence ordering Mild. I'm definitely disappointed that they can't do a real mild dish, because I really can't enjoy it otherwise. During the recent (relatively) cold weather, some hot and spicy Indian cuisine seemed in order, plus it was my daughter's birthday and she loves Indian food, so we decided to hit up Ayesha, the closest Indian restaurant (I think) to our house. There was ample parking, and the interior of the restaurant (located in an aging strip mall) was clean and orderly. We were seated immediately. There is an extensive menu and our (nameless) server kept trying to make suggestions. My YelpFriend Veronica J. alluded to this same server attitude in her review. He wasn't snooty, actually had a corny sense of humor, but I didn't care for the suggestions. He made ambiguous statements like "I will fix you up"....are you preparing it, is it off-menu, or are you comping us? Anyway, the apps arrived and they were all "on the menu". I insisted on the lamb samosas. They were rather dry and underwhelming. I actually had much better samosas from a food truck at the Redlands Asian Cultural Festival! The other two apps which were suggested by server guy were quite good: Lasooni Gobi (cauliflower florets tossed in tomato and garlic) and Samosa Chaat (potatoes, peas, cashews mashed up and seasoned and served in pastry). As for the entrees, they are pretty large, so my party of 3 shared two of them. The lamb chops (marinated in yoghurt, garlic, ginger and spices, and cooked in tandoor) were tender and fall off the bone, but a tad gamy and a bit underwhelming in the spice department. ( I didn't specifically ask for mild seasoning, BTW). The other entree was the Ayesha Saffron Mixed Grill, which theatrically comes out on a sizzling platter. It has all the food groups on the menu, to include chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, shrimp (1!), lamb chop, seekh kebab (beef), and served with a lackluster green sauce. The platter might have sizzled, but the seasoning again fell short in the spicy department for moi. The meat was "just OK" Accompanying rice served with these dishes was plain and actually served almost cold! An order of cheese naan arrived very late into the meal (I'm assuming it took time to prepare fresh) but it too was "just OK" The naan was good, but they were stingy with the cheese. I can't help but think I got really upsold for a $26 bottle of MEH Italian merlot, but it was a birthday request! The 2 things I really did like were quite unexpected. First, the lentil chips they serve to tide you over before dinner were light & airy, but bursting with spicy, garlicky greatness. Secondly, the mini fried cheese doughnuts dipped in honey and sugar sauce were awesome! They accompanied the mango mousse (more like a sorbet) dessert. This dessert was on the house for my daughter's birthday, and the guys tried their best with the HappyBirthday song, LOL! All in all, the food's ok, and the staff was pretty nice and seemed to try hard, but I'm going to have to continue my search for fine Indian cuisine in South Florida on a par with the cuisine I've experienced in London and New York. read more

We dine in or take out quite a lot from Ayesha. Our in dining experience is always so nice and it's nice they remember us and often bring our daughter a complimentary Mango Lasi. The food is delicious and I am a big fan of the Butter Chicken and the Lamb Korma. I like that you can choose the spiciness of your food. It's mild, medium and hot. From the exterior it looks quite small but once inside you realize that it's quite big. It's gets super busy some nights and I like the buzz of the place and the televisions with the Bollywood movies grabs our attention. Great food, location and very nice staff. read more

After driving to two different Indian Cuisine restaurants and finding that the A/C was broken at both places - what are the odds? - we found this place and had a great dining experience. This review will be short as I wanted to make sure it got done even if I only have time to write a few words. The service was my main motivation to write a review. I feel like the entire staff stopped by our table at one time or another to interact with us but not in the creepy annoying way some service staff do when they come to your table five times to ask you the same question even though they asked you five minutes: "Is everything ok?" Sure, it is, I've chewed and swallowed two whole bites since the last time you asked. No, the service staff here makes it a point to make sure you have a good time, if they come to your table is to have genuine interaction with you. Love this Indian restaurant. They made us feel right at home. We had a quiet dinner in the corner of the restaurant.
