This restaurant has been here for ages, and I have been coming for ages too, so it was a surprise when I checked in to find out I have never written a review. Probably because when I first ate there I wasn't even yelping? Their food is simply prepared and crazy delicious. Their curry sauce is so good, sometimes I asked for extra. The curry goat has good amount of meat in it and not all bones. The chickpea is good too for days I don't want meat. They also have fried bake (fluffy bread) with salted fish, which is great if you want a smaller portion of food. read more

A very nice gentleman waited on me (maybe the owner? I'm not sure.) I wanted the goat curry lunch plate, which comes with salad & rice, but I wanted roti instead of rice. Well there was a misunderstanding because I ended up with the curry goat wrap in roti. I must say that the flavor wasn't bad, there was a lot of bones in it (for it to be a roti wrap) and entirely too much roti/ bread. There was also a crumbly flaky product in between the layers of the roti. It was definitely added, so it was supposed to be there, but it didn't have any flavor & I didn't like the dry, crumbly texture at all. read more

Ordered some doubles and while there ordering heard she had salt fish & bake . Then got some home made sorrel, and LLB for my son. Omg it was the bomb!! I was probably really craving both because they were loaded and sooo good. While there there was a gentleman who was collecting several bags loaded with either rotisserie chicken and doubles intended for a party which I found out was for a party in Orlando. When asked he said he knew there were restaurants up in Orlando but Caribbean Delite was the BEST, & I have to agree. The food just hit the spot. read more

This is a small divey hole in the wall place. To be noted there is another caribbean Chinese place offering similar fare a few doors down called Sango's. This place was busy when I popped in, which is a good sign. There was no menu hung up or available, which spells to me - it is locals and regulars that come here, time after time. So I asked for a menu - see attachment - seems their prices have gone up considerably! (notice the prices changes in pen!) Pre covid they had a few tables inside - but now it is just piled high with boxes, etc. so now is just a take away place. Also to be noted they only take cash. So I ordered a goat roti, which was my first time trying this dish. It came out within five minutes and i proceeded to my car with air con! The dish was full of tender flavourful goat meat, but with bones included so watch your teeth. The meat was very tender and fell off the bone - but watch for the thin slivers (I might have been extra sensitive and careful for this as I had just had a crown fitted at my dentist in Pinecrest!) Also to be noted it is extremely messy to eat in your car, but delicious!. Just take wet wipes with you! The roti is massive and includes a plentiful amount of the juicy spicy meat. Take out order was overcharged by $7. Guy at the front gave me my original total $20.29 (which was accurate). I didn't hear what he said, and he took advantage of my confusion and when I asked how much he now said cash $27.29. I paid him that amount and got change for that amount too so I know I'm not crazy. Didn't even give me a receipt either to check sales tax or any tip (that would have been made without my consent 1, and 2, is way too much for any regular "tax"). Didn't notice until something didn't sit well with me and I double checked how much my food was priced when I was home (It totaled to $20.29). The price "maybe" being outdated online is not a valid excuse either because you told me my accurate total in the FIRST place. Completely wrong. Would never come again. Scamming good hearted customers and fellow caribbean you should be ashamed. Shrimp paratha was just a pan of grease too. read more

These have to be the best doubles in Miami... can it really get better than this?? I have my New York staple and my Maryland staple, and Florida did NOT disappoint. I was visiting a friend in Miami, and like me he loves food. He told me about this place that he grew up near and he knew that I would enjoy trying the doubles. He was absolutely right. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, and when we went in there was just one other party placing an order. There's also nowhere to sit, so it's strictly to-go. While we waited for about 10 minutes for the doubles to be ready, we can see that they sold food and sauces and things... the spicy tamarind chutney particularly caught my attention. I would've gotten a jar if I wasn't flying on a plane where I had no intention of checking things in, grrr. Anyway, we stepped outside and took bites... WOW. The texture, the chickpeas, the chutney... the combination of sweet & spicy was precisely what I wanted it to be. They have plenty of other menu options... but I suppose I won't get to try them until I go to FL again. Seems like they've been around forever, and I hope it stays that way! read more

My boyfriend took me here for the first time and now I know why he raves about this place. The rotis were so good and the service was wonderful. We placed an order for takeout 30 minutes before getting there, and it was ready by the time we arrived. We ordered 2 beef rotis, 1 boneless chicken roti, 3 orders of Saheena, and a Cassava Pone. One roti is enough to leave you feeling as full as after Thanksgiving, it's THICK! The flavor is delicious, and the spices are just right. I would say that because of the nature of boneless chicken, it wasn't as juicy as the beef, but both were good. I know I'm ordering the beef roti next time. The Saheena I'm not sure what it is, I think it's supposed to be some sort or spinach fritter. All I know is that it was delicious!!! If I had to compare it to something, I'd say a croissant with spinach and a sweet chutney. Again, I have no idea, but it was freaking delicious. It proved to be a lot of food. And I knew it was a lot of food, but I absolutely had to try the cassava pone. I'm a dessert fiend. It was this dense wedge of cassava, pumpkin, and coconut, and it rocked my world. It was mildly sweet, but the flavors were so soothing and scrumptious. I would eat it again. 5/5 -- I would go again. The service was great and quick, the food was delicious and massive, and I can't wait to go back and try other things from the menu. Important note: you can only pay with cash. I would honestly not think of getting Caribbean/Trinidadian food because I wasn't ever introduced to it. My best friend took me here one day and I absolutely love it I review a lot of Asian food and I think Carribbean food is so under rated. The flavors are balanced and if you like spicy, it's the perfect spice. It is small shop tucked away in a tiny shopping street close to little ceasers. Its not a well decorated spot and there is maybe one table you sit down to eat. But most is take away. You order from the counter and the people working are very nice and helpful. I order the doubles which is like a chickpea chutney on soft a pillow-y bread. I also like the roti and whatever filling you get its all delicious. They are vegetarian friendly as well. You get a large portion of food and you can definitely eat it later and it is still just as good reheated. read more

Food is great, however, customer service is non existent. The lady in the front will scream at you, for simply looking at the products. You will be standing in line, get no acknowledgement because she is taking food orders on the phone, one right after the other. So, you're better off placing the order on the phone, if you know the menu. Don't ask any questions, as she will not respond to them. Cash only, she won't let you know until afterwards. Don't buy products here, as she will not let you know what's on the ingredients. Please go to Jamaican Kitchen or anywhere else, for products. Food is good. I was feeling adventurous and ended here after passing by a Trini restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale. First things first: food portions here are very large for what you pay. It's as authentic as it gets and food was served quickly. As of this writing they are take out only, there is no dine in. I explored the chana roti and a very kind person treated me to a doubles. What was I going to have for lunch today? Simple once I heard others wanting to order from Caribbean Delight! I eagerly jumped on this band wagon having once before ate their Goat Roti. Yum! It was and still is really good! Hard to describe but does have wonderful goat flavor melded with spices and mild curry. So satisfying along with being encompassed in a comforting blanket of Dhalpuri wrap. A definite dish you don't want to rush through. Refresh your palate often with a drink and be "oh wow" all over again as the flavors and textures of the roti stew and the Dhalpuri linger all over your mouth. As for the restaurant? No frills with basic tables and chairs about, a lacquered wooden counter-top walk up to place your order, a definite Caribbean feel. However I don't fault them for that, as you come for the food One little ding is they do not accept credit cards, CASH ONLY. My friend had to spot me. Back to the food...Enough there for an extra snack. I have been eating Fish Bake from this restaurant for years and today I finally tried the Curry Goat Roti. The Roti was fresh and the curry goat filling was on point. The Fish Bake is always good. If you can handle the spice, I recommend getting the spicy Fish Bake. The fresh Pepper adds so much flavor to a regular Fish Bake. I came here knowing exactly what I wanted because of my best friend/sister who's from Trinidad and I have loved their food at first bite! The doubles are super soft, flavorful and the hot pepper sauce is one of my favorites for sure, light textured with a kick! Decades ago, I used to accompany my friend's family to pick up takeout from Caribbean Delite. In the past couple years, I've dropped in a few times when I have a craving for Trini food. The food here is really consistent and is a great price. My favorite thing here is the doubles: a doughy bread sandwiching a spiced chickpea filling. It's sweet, savory, and spicy. The roti is great, but I think I prefer the paratha. You can eat in-store if you want, as there are a couple tables, but the set-up is more for take-out.
