Very friendly staff and good food! Def a must try in the Palmetto Bay Area. Parking CAN be a challenge but it's a private lot and there's usually a decent turnover of.

A very nice gentleman waited on me (maybe the owner? I'm not sure.) I wanted the goat curry lunch plate, which comes with salad & rice, but I wanted roti instead of rice. Well there was a misunderstanding because I ended up with the curry goat wrap in roti. I must say that the flavor wasn't bad, there was a lot of bones in it (for it to be a roti wrap) and entirely too much roti/ bread. There was also a crumbly flaky product in between the layers of the roti. It was definitely added, so it was supposed to be there, but it didn't have any flavor & I didn't like the dry, crumbly texture at all.

This is a small divey hole in the wall place. To be noted there is another caribbean Chinese place offering similar fare a few doors down called Sango's. This place was busy when I popped in, which is a good sign. There was no menu hung up or available, which spells to me - it is locals and regulars that come here, time after time. So I asked for a menu - see attachment - seems their prices have gone up considerably! (notice the prices changes in pen!) Pre covid they had a few tables inside - but now it is just piled high with boxes, etc. so now is just a take away place. Also to be noted they only take cash. So I ordered a goat roti, which was my first time trying this dish. It came out within five minutes and i proceeded to my car with air con! The dish was full of tender flavourful goat meat, but with bones included so watch your teeth. The meat was very tender and fell off the bone - but watch for the thin slivers (I might have been extra sensitive and careful for this as I had just had a crown fitted at my dentist in Pinecrest!) Also to be noted it is extremely messy to eat in your car, but delicious!. Just take wet wipes with you! The roti is massive and includes a plentiful amount of the juicy spicy meat. I can see why people go here!

They have a variety of stewed meats for roti meals and sides like mashed pumpkin, potatoes, spinach and other veggies. Everything is uniquely seasoned and spiced. If you're not good with spicy foods, ask for anything with peppers to not include them. My husband ordered the stewed boneless chicken with paratha roti and pumpkin plus potatoes as sides. The roti was fresh and hot. The pumpkin was my favorite. The chicken was easy to eat and tasted good, not dry. The potatoes were soft. I got a double and it was amazing. Lots of tamarind flavor and some curry and cumin tastes. I love chickpeas and there were plenty of it stuffed inside. Gotta eat it quick or else the shell becomes soggy. I also ordered a bake and shark. First time trying it. The crispy texture of the fried fish plus the soft outer shell along with the lettuce and tomato all tasted delicious together. However, the fish was way too salty for me. After the first few bites, I couldn't eat anymore of it. My husband who has a much stronger taste palette even agreed it was on the salty side. Will definitely come back to try more items!

This establishment was huge, with a full bar, plenty of indoor seating, a separate carryout section, and outdoor seating as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and provided quick service. The menu had a great variety, offering everything from traditional main dishes to desserts and beverages. I ordered two doubles, which were okay--I've definitely had better--but the sweet bread was delicious! My sister had the pholourie, and my mom ordered the goat roti. The roti was filling but a little too spicy, even for us, and we definitely like some heat! Unfortunately, her cassava pone was a bit dry. Overall, there were some hits and a few misses, but there's plenty more on the menu I'd like to try. I'm sure I'll be returning for more Trini delights!

We later found out that it was an advertising error and the waitress gave us a complimentary sweet treat with our meal, which was nice ! This casual and chill place is more for the older crowd, but while we were there we noticed a lot of to-go orders throughout the night. It may have been the night we attended, but we felt like we had pure goat and sauce and portions were smaller than lunch. I would need to try this place another time to see if this experience was just anomaly with the food.
