Other than that, oxtail and curry broth both very tasty!! Oxtails tender, rice and peas and cabbage both delish. Will def be ordering from here again!

Happened to be looking for some Caribbean Cuisine and I found Bodeau's Caribbean Cuisine. There was…read morea Gentleman standing outside the front entrance door and he was polite enough to open the door for me. That was very courteous of him to do that, it let me know that there are still a number of decent fella's in the world. Cause he didn't have to that for me. Immediately once I walked inside, I smelled these Robust Aromas of tasteful spices. It took me back to my childhood years from when my Granny would have the flavors of different colored onions, bell peppers, and additional vegetables stewing in the pots growing up. Damn How I miss her Home cooked, backyard veggie growing physical presence in this moment. I was met by a very beautiful Soul named Kerby. She was vibrant, offered me a menu, and her hospitality was amazing as well. I ended up wanting to try the Jerk Chicken but I opted for less spice. The Brown Stewed Chicken is what I decided on trying. It came with peas, and rice..,with plantains, and steamed cabbage. It also had a (Slap Ya Mama) type of kick to it (sheesh lol). Everything came out in about 15-20 minutes. Kerby had a number of Big Aluminum pan orders already prepared or she was getting ready before I got there. Once I received my medium dinner plate, I ended up requesting, to try the Banana Pudding, Sea Moss (Mango Flavored) juice), and one bottle of Jamaican Soda Pop (Cream Soda). This was by a great experience, mind you it's not an upscale establishment. However this lil hole in the wall joint offers food cooked and prepared from the heart. My pieces of chicken were good but I'd prefer a tad less spice. Even though the spices are what I've been needing more than ever to keep illnesses down. So I'll take the spice intake like a champ lol. My rice & peas were good, wasn't my Granny's but I enjoyed the fluffiness of the rice. My peas weren't dry either, Kerby offered me more juice or brown stewed gravy to go over my rice yummy. Now that I have found this hidden gem, I'll revisit more.
