Yucca fries are the perfect vehicle for the green and yellow sauces!! The salad was just lettuce, tomato and cucumber. The chicken is moist, not at all dry. I also ordered a side of tallarin verde (10). It was so saucy, I wished I had bread or extra rice to mop up all the sauce!! My friends got the bisteck, well done, and came out juicy! Ah Peru Chicken. Things were looking good overall until I got back to the hotel. Service: Not the friendliest bunch of people to be found in Vegas. If you speak Spanish, you will probably have a better experience than I did. They seemed to be extremely helpful to those who did. If you didn't, not so much. That's okay. I can deal with that. Food: Their chicken is really moist and flavorful. If I was only rating their food, they would do quite well. The plantains were also excellent. If all I cared about was food, you'd be looking at 5 stars easily. The fact that they carry Inca Cola is a plus as well. Some of the best soda available. My wife and I split a 1/2 chicken plate with frijoles. The beans are nicely prepared and flavorful. The rice is plain but goes well with the beans and chicken. The score killer: When you order a combination takeout plate that includes rice and beans, it's generally safe to assume the customer isn't planning on eating it with their FINGERS. We get back to hotel to find these Einsteins didn't bother to include utensils. Too busy chatting with their other customers to take care of our order correctly apparently. I normally take some plastic utensils in my luggage but we brought a larger suitcase this trip so we could combine our belongings into one. Needless to say, we had an interesting time finishing our lunch. Incompetence like this is extremely difficult to overlook. Would I return? Maybe. The food is quite good but this really pissed me off. Even if I return and complain, I doubt they'd actually give a hoot. I would just make sure to check my bag next time if I decide to return or just make sure to pack utensils to avoid another occurrence like this one. What a pain! read more

I eat at plenty of Peruvian restaurants back home and they are just as good as the spots in my neighborhood. My experiences here have been mostly good - there was one time during Thanksgiving that the orders were backed up and we didn't receive a warning beforehand how long our food would take - but I don't think one bad instance merits the loss of a star. The staff is pretty friendly and the food is great. I really enjoy their steak dishes, like their bistec con tallarin verde and bistec a lo pobre. One of their newer dishes has easily become my favorite: causa acevichada. It's a dish that combines two appetizers: causa and ceviche. It's a delightful dish and perfect! Check Yelp for Peruvian Cusine and drove over about 20 minute from our hotel and was well worth the trip. Wife ordered the Anticuchos( skewed grilled beef heart served with potatoes, corn and spicy house sauce) and for me Sudadode Pescado( premium sea bass sautéed with onions, tomatoes in mild sauce, served with rice and potatoes . The fried yucca potatoes are really good and the fried plantains are out of this world. What took the prize is the ceviche. All the food is very fresh and comes out quick. My 2nd time I went I got the sea bass and of course the ceviche again. I am always hesitant at getting fish places, but have no fear here. Unfortunately I don't speak Spanish so the waitresses are always super patient with me and help me with the name of the meals (ingredients are in English). The ambience is very casual and laid back. Definitely out of the ordinary place. Food and service is great. If you want to try something different, Peru Chicken is a good option. First, the seating arrangement is almost like a banquet hall or a school cafeteria. Ambiance level at a zero but for some reason, they make it work. Service was great. Our waitress was very informative, and even gave me the recipe for a sauce that I had always wondered about. Food is awesome. Portion sizes are big. Its a bit more expensive than other places but I would say a good value for what you get. My fries were gigantic. We got the roasted chicken and the smokey grill flavor was out of this world good. I love Peruvian sauces, and they have really good aji green and yellow. Rice was just long grain and not very tender. Salad was excellent.
