I really tried to give this Nigerian restaurant a chance, but the experience was beyond frustrating. First of all, the customer service is absolutely terrible. When I pointed out that the prices I was being told didn't match the ones listed on the menu, the woman--who claimed to be the owner--told me, "Don't worry about the menu, just listen to what I have to say." Excuse me? What kind of customer service is that? If you have set prices, why aren't they accurately reflected on your menu? I've never experienced something so unprofessional--are we in a village marketplace where prices change depending on who's asking? On top of that, the ambience is unpleasant and the overall environment feels neglected. No effort is made to make guests feel welcome or respected. It's no wonder many Nigerians avoid this place. The lack of transparency, courtesy, and cleanliness is simply unacceptable. what a hidden gem! but very hidden. ive been wanting to try fufu since ive heard about it on instagram over a year ago! but i never knew where to go until i found this place when i googled fufu. its in a very hidden shopping center near the strip/the strat but im so glad i found it. He was patient and kind while guiding me through how to order. he was missing some things like chicken but he was open and honest about that and about the menu prices now being different which is a big complaint i saw in the negative reviews. he showed me what everything i ordered would cost and apologized for the error. I honestly didnt mind and the prices were super fair especially for the serving size. he asked what heat level i wanted from 1-10 and i said 5 and he warned me 5 was probably a 8-9 in american food. which made me laugh and i changed it to a 3 to be safe and fair warning it was still spicy(not too bad) ! but to say it was absolutely delicious is an understatement! the food did take about 20 minutes to prepare and its made fresh and i mean FRESH that fufu was super hot. my mom loved the jollof rice and i loved the egusi soup. 10/10 i would come again and try more things maybe a little less spicy though! i wish i took photos of the food but we were hungry and had such great comfort food. cant wait to go back! read more

Horrible and unprofessional experience! First we called to check their item availability and they were out of half the menu items during midday. My husband really had a craving for nigerian cuisine so we decided to go with some of her suggestions. She advised us she prepares food fresh so it can take up to 70 minutes, we advised her to go ahead and prepare as we are coming from a distance and we are taking to go and she requested for us to zelle her immediately. We paid and arrived at restaurant maybe 40ish minutes later. This lady literally said she hadn't started yet, she's been busy as she's the only one working in the kitchen smh. I stated that was the whole point of calling in because we didn't have time to wait. Rather than acknowledge and apologize for inconvenience she gets defensive and says everyone knows this cuisine takes time and she prepares her food fresh and that's just how it is. I was highly annoyed but still was going to try to wait. The restaurant was completely empty at first so she gave our 2 kids (3&4yr) balloons to play with and kill time. Soon a couple walks in and after taking their order she goes to my husband and says the kids will have to return balloons and sit back down because it's too much fuss. I immediately intervene and asks what the problem is and she says no restaurant can allow kids to be loud and playing which they were showing excitement with the balloons she gave by tossing them in the air near our own damn table. I then had enough and asked her to just cancel the order and return our money. I explained there's no way to expect little kids to sit still and quiet for almost 2 hours waiting for food. She rolls her eyes and says fine she will cancel and refund. She proceeds to handle her other table and then another couple walks in and she starts helping them. I asked her did she process refund already, she said she will tend to me once she's done with her customer. I said no I was here first and trying to cancel so please return my money now. She says you will get your money and returns to the kitchen. My husband is standing by the door with our kids and im waiting at the counter. After what felt like 5 minutes I peeked in the kitchen door and she's on the phone and cooking. I tap on the door, she says omg woman you need to sit down and wait, I responded im not going to sit down when im trying to leave and im not leaving without my money. We did zelle so it's not that complicated to return my money. Me and her start exchanging words because I told her she was unprofessional and not taking my time seriously. She tells my husband he needs to control me when she has no husband to control her and she damn sure has no control over her restaurant! I told her if she doesn't send my money im calling the police and then I left out. My family and I waited in the parking lot about 10 min, no refund, so I sent my husband inside for update and she gave him cash back and zelled the rest like wtf, if we never came back in was she planning on keeping our money?! I don't recommend this place when there are other nigerian restaurants in the area that know how to treat their customers and they have the food ready ON TIME!! I came here on a Monday afternoon. Make sure you call and order beforehand because the food is apparently made fresh. We waited over an hour before our food came out. I ordered the fried rice combo, which was reallyyyy good. I think for the price, I expected more food though. Some suggestions for this place: 1. Since the food is made fresh and the wait is over an hour, have at least tap water to offer your guests. After I started eating my very spicy food, I asked for water and the waitress said it was $2. Considering we waited as long as we did and she came out at least 5 times to apologize for the wait, they could have offered us water for free as paying customers dining in. 2. They could also have chin chin or puff puff for the table while customers wait. I understand inflation is real, but there were 4 plantains on my plate, that isn't even half one of whole plantain. So my friend and I paid about $60 together and didn't receive up to one plantain. Seems a little ridiculous to me. This place has a lot of potential. I think it's spacious enough to turn into a lounge in the evenings. They played Afrobeat music videos on their TV the entire time which was nice. I don't know what the guy gave me but it didn't seem like goat meat but more like chunks of fat or cow leg or tripe. Not exactly sure how they got these good reviews. I have been meaning to make this review for a couple months now. I went to this restaurant in September during my vacation in Vegas. I have to say, their food is HANDS DOWN delicious. We tried the fufu, egusi soup, okra soup, jollof rice, fried rice combo. Everything was sooooo good. It was our first time eating Nigerian food and we were not disappointed at all. The portions are very generous. The fufu along with the okra and egusi soup is flavorful. My favorite was the okra soup. Fried rice and jollof rice was a mutual favorite amongst me and my family. Tips: do call in your order because we waited about 45 minutes the first time we went because everything is made to order. BUT it was definitely worth the wait and worth the price, it was hot and fresh and so bomb. If you haven't tried their food yet, I highly recommend you give it a try.
