    Pink potato salad

Delicious food and very nice staff. The prices are a bit hard to understand. The Mac and cheese is a good size portion for $5.30. The entrees all seem to be priced as though you are dining at a high end restaurant. For $35 for the salmon stew we expected a much larger portion than a small plate of salmon with onions. It was absolutely delicious but seriously out of line with prices for off strip family run establishments. I would go back to try the patty (they were out) and get more Mac and cheese but I can't justify $35 for that salmon.

I rated a 4 for lack of half stars. Honest rating for food:4 Honest rating for experience:3. We visited Las Vegas and decided to pop into the Pink Potato for lunch. The ambiance was pleasant. They mostly played afrobeats so we were all dancing in our seats. We ordered the goat stew as well as the oxtail stew with peas and rice and macaroni and cheese on the side. The meat was flavorful and fell off of the bone. The peas and rice were nicely cooked and delicious. Our macaroni could have used a little more cheese but overall crispy on the top and moist inside. The food was great but we didn't receive any of the pink potato that comes with the meal. We were also served with styrofoam plates and cups so it took away from the experience a bit. The owner was very nice and hospitable. She allowed us to sit and really enjoy our meal. We didn't feel rushed at all. However, when it was time to pay we walk to the counter and pay. Overall, it was a good experience and I would definitely come again.

Is a new Caribbean restaurant located about seven minutes from UNLV. Ms. Kathy took really good care of my friend and I. My friend ordered the oxtails and they were so tender and literally fell off the bone. I ordered the Creole Chicken and Shrimp and it was so good oh my goodness. Every dish comes with Rice & Peas and the famous Pink potato salad. This restaurant definitely is one to remember and everything is seasoned perfectly. The ambiance is very chill and clean. The owners play Caribbean music and it sets a really nice vibe.

The OxTail might be the best I've had. Flavor was on point. I'm from out of town and I'll for sure be back everytime I'm back.

The oxtail was the best I've had. The flavor was great. I'm from out of town and will be back every time I'm in Vegas. Ps: get a mango juice too.

Homemade, home style Caribbean food. Authentic, delicious. Ambiance is a little cheesy, but the food is worth it!

There was…read morea Gentleman standing outside the front entrance door and he was polite enough to open the door for me. That was very courteous of him to do that, it let me know that there are still a number of decent fella's in the world. Cause he didn't have to that for me. Immediately once I walked inside, I smelled these Robust Aromas of tasteful spices. It took me back to my childhood years from when my Granny would have the flavors of different colored onions, bell peppers, and additional vegetables stewing in the pots growing up. Damn How I miss her Home cooked, backyard veggie growing physical presence in this moment. I was met by a very beautiful Soul named Kerby. She was vibrant, offered me a menu, and her hospitality was amazing as well. I ended up wanting to try the Jerk Chicken but I opted for less spice. The Brown Stewed Chicken is what I decided on trying. It came with peas, and rice..,with plantains, and steamed cabbage. It also had a (Slap Ya Mama) type of kick to it (sheesh lol). Everything came out in about 15-20 minutes. Kerby had a number of Big Aluminum pan orders already prepared or she was getting ready before I got there. Once I received my medium dinner plate, I ended up requesting, to try the Banana Pudding, Sea Moss (Mango Flavored) juice), and one bottle of Jamaican Soda Pop (Cream Soda). This was by a great experience, mind you it's not an upscale establishment. However this lil hole in the wall joint offers food cooked and prepared from the heart. My pieces of chicken were good but I'd prefer a tad less spice. Even though the spices are what I've been needing more than ever to keep illnesses down. So I'll take the spice intake like a champ lol. My rice & peas were good, wasn't my Granny's but I enjoyed the fluffiness of the rice. My peas weren't dry either, Kerby offered me more juice or brown stewed gravy to go over my rice yummy. Now that I have found this hidden gem, I'll revisit more.

Yes, please!), the flavorful tacos, and the curry chicken, which was an amazing fusion of Indian and Caribbean flavors. Each dish was bursting with authentic spices and made with love. The chicken and sauce was very flavorful and well seasoned with a spicy smoky taste. The chicken is not grilled on a pit, but has a smoky taste. Tender, served on a bed of rice and peas and a side of cabbage mixed with mixed vegetables, that were green beans, corn, and lima beans. I'm not sure if they were out of plantains, but that was not on my plate. I was looking forward to it. I really enjoyed my meal and I will have to come back to purchase other dishes. The service was fast and friendly. I'm looking forward to seeing the place after the renovations are done. (They are open during renovations.) (ask about the weekly and monthly specials.) I hope that they brighten up their sign on the outside of the restaurant and also make the view of the restaurant bright at night so it does not look like it's closed in the evening . It's so dark at night...If I had not known that the restaurant was really open, I would have gone home just by looking at it because it looked like it was closed. I also heard someone in the restaurant say the same thing. The Chef said that he will continue specials each month. And I advise that you call ahead of time to find out if the methods of payment are still temporarily limited before you get there. Nobody wants to see potential business walk away if they only had a credit card or even drive past because they thought that a restaurant was really closed. I'm looking forward to coming back to see how the place is coming along; and to try other entrées on his ever expanding menu. Bottom line...... Great food, great people and a great renovation in the works. I'm looking forward to doing a follow up review with a higher score.
