Still in the mood for excellent Thai food, we located their newer venue, and drive over. We were delighted to see that the Matriarch of this family-run restaurant(s) was at that location. This is my husband and my favorite Thai place in Puyallup! We eat here often and always do takeout and they have wicked quick service and they are super kind and friendly! They always wrap everything up securely and safely when you order to go. One of the nastiest dishes I have ever had. Came here for the first time today. I grew up eating Thai/Lao food and had a strong craving for some Larb Gai. I was coming home from Packwood and the closest Thai restaurant to me was Ayothaya Frederickson so I called in the order. The restaurant smelled amazing when I walked in and I couldn't wait to crack into my meal. I noticed it had a VERY heavy fish sauce smell. I love fish sauce though so didn't think too much of it. Took my first bite and tasted instant regret. It was so disgusting! I have had this dish in some really sketchy restaurants and was always edible but this dish?! An absolute never again type of thing. I literally took a few bites, making sure I wasn't mistaken, and threw the dish away. The ground chicken tasted like a chunk of charcoal, like it had just been rolling around the kitchen grill dump bucket. It was almost like they were trying to cover up the burnt taste with the fish sauce. It's so crazy bc it looked delicious but tasted suspicious I would not wish this meal on my worst enemy. Please, if y'all want AMAZING And authentic Thai food, go to Loak Tung Thai in tacoma. You will be blown away by their food. If I knew this place was this bad, wasn't already driving for hours and home wasn't in Puyallup, I would have made the extra commute to Loak Tung. read more

One of our favs for Thai food. Reminds me of my mom's cooking. The food is always good. We always ask for a level 4 on the spice and the last time, it was a true 4. YUM. Ordered ahead and got it to go. There were some deletions and/or substitutions in our order. We got pad thai with heat, pad thai without heat, panang curry, fresh spring rolls and eggrolls. All of the food was made how we wanted it and with the exact heat that we asked. My son had never had thai food but he loved it. I live in E. Washington and my son lives down the street from this restaurant. I will go there every time i see my son. Best Thai food, best customer service. read more

The food is fantastic! We had the pineapple fried rice with beef and pad Thai noodles with chicken; and the fried egg rolls were really good but kind of expensive, 4 for 12$ i think. The service was great, we got there kind of late and ordered takeout, the cashier was nice to us and it came out really quickly, like 10-15 minutes. We didn't stay long but the place looked like a nice place to stay and have dinner. I want to try the curry next time. read more

Okay, so even though we promised to "never come back" I had a change of judgement and came back today on 09/01/2023, and wow they were SO friendly! They were actually very welcoming and gave us constant refills of our water. The food was also fast when it came out, and very tasty and hot! It was quiet inside when we went but they had lots of to-go orders. So that is good to keep in mind for the busier folks. I'm wondering if they had a change of management and friendlier employees. Either way, this spot will now be a new place to come to! read more

This is my go to Thai spot when I am having a lazy weekend. It's about a half hour hike for me each way, but is the closest and tastiest I have found they had two locations in Puyallup. I'm sad to find out they just close their South Hill Meridian location, as for the food goes they usually nail it... Flavor... Spice everything nice! Every time I go in for a pick up order the place is usually packed...Always a good sign. Their appetizers are amazing, crab Rangoon, and prawn rolls are a must have. read more

I tried to shake it off because it was busy and I get it. But even when it slowed down she was still really rude. Then when I got home to surprise my family with food this is what I get. Great for thai food. It is reasonably priced and tastes good. My only complaint is that Som Tom (spelling?), otherwise known as papaya salad, is a pretty small portion. You can use an online order, and it is normally ready for pick up 15 minutes later. The restaurant is small and can not accommodate larger parties at this location at least. read more

Pretty regular here. Love Thai food and this Thai spot is pretty great. I normally get noodle dishes such as pad Thai or pad see ew and always have the fresh rolls with peanut sauce. The mango sticky rice is a nice dessert and Thai iced tea is a refreshing drink! read more
