    Pad Thai Noodles

I stayed at a nearby hotel and decided to give this place a try. When we entered, we were greeted and seated immediately. They have a decent size menu and also serve wine/beer. FOOD 10/10. I got the traditional chicken pad thai, spice level 2. It was flavorful and wasn't too spicy (i could've went up to 3) but very good. My boyfriend got the drunken beef with steamed rice, and it was delicious! Very bold flavors and goes perfectly with the steamed rice. We also got springs rolls and they were good with the chili sauce. Overall, I would definitely recommend coming here for some delicious authentic Thai Food. Their service was great as well!

It was night and my partner wanted thai. We had this on our list of places to try. It's about 10 minutes from where we live. The parking is pretty bad because it minimal. It was a Thursday about 630ish and there was no wait. Everyone was so nice. It's always a great experience when you're being tended to by people who love what they do. The inside is really clean and bright. I don't remember if music was playing or not. We're talkers so... Our food was fast, hot and, fresh. I order wontons, sticky rice, and garlic chicken no spice. It was delicious. My partner had the basil chicken. She only wished her mushrooms were chopped finely. Their menu is enormous. I'll have to visit a few times to try more things. Definitely recommend.

Super quick service and really good Thai food! Idk what the Tacoma scene usually is but gathering from what I see around me it's more craft beer and bar, making this yummy Thai spot even more legit. Had some warm Khao Soi and the shallot nest on top added the perfect texture and mix of flavors. Also had some fresh spring rolls veggie style- delish peanut sauce! Service was stellar. Recommend if you're in the area.

Very good thai place. Loved the decor for valentine's day they even folded some of the napkins into roses which I thought was a nice detail. The customer service was phenomenal the staff are super sweet and helpful. Never needed anything they made sure we were good at all times. The food came out pretty quickly except for the bbq chicken but the waitress let us know it would be a little longer to cook because they have to bbq it which was okay for us we were in no rush. I liked that she let us know ahead of time just incase we were in a rush. Overall Rating 9/10!

    Panang Curry

The included Egg Drop Soup was amazing. Best I've ever had. Chicken satay and the peanut sauce was great, as it is most everywhere. The Panang Curry wasn't my favorite on the first bite, but it had a subtle flavor that grew on me as I ate the dish. I would definitely go back if I wanted Thai cuisine in Tacoma, WA. My server was very friendly, but the language barrier was a little much to be very helpful.

We came in tonight. The service was great and they were warm and welcoming. We enjoyed tofu tod (crispy tofu) and red tofu curry with brown rice.

Needed some good Thai food and I saw this on the map. Walked in and the place was nice and clean, nice light jazz going on in the background. Came around 1pm on a Friday, not too busy so I was immediately sat down. They came quick with water and a menu and shortly after a little soup which was tasty, little salty but good. I looked at the lunch specials and they had a good amount of options but went with the Hot Basil Beef and got spice level 3. I believe the ratings 1-5 and 5 being the hottest. 3 is perfect for me, enough kick but not enough to make me sweat haha. Anyways, great price for the quality of food. Definitely recommend coming here. Thanks Chili Thai!

Green curry with beef level 3 of 5 spice

The area where this is located is quiet and not busy like Pacific Avenue. The food was pretty good but nothing I'd run back for. I generally judge by ordering the green curry the first time I try a new Thai restaurant. Idk why but I would say theirs was 3/5 based on other places I've been to. The server was nice but occupied. The smell of the actual restaurant was actually bad like sewer but the overall cleanliness was fine. Might be the plumbing in area.

    Spring Rolls and Crab Wonton

Service from the moment we entered to closing out the check was very welcoming and nice! Staff were helpful, had personality, and fast service. Food was seasoned and cook to perfection as it was bold, complex, and authentic to what you would expect for the cuisine. Portions for entrees and appetizers were good for the price. Establishment was very clean, upkept, and booths were comfortable!

A LOT of life has happened since then, so we definitely had plenty to catch up on. Neither of us had been to Bloom Thai before, but we both love Thai food, so we decided to give it a try. This place is definitely different from any Thai restaurant I've been to before. It's super small, with only a handful of tables. You order at the counter, grab your number, and find a table. They also have a big jug of cucumber water that was so refreshing! They didn't have my usual yellow chicken curry, so I decided to try something completely different--the drunken noodles. I honestly had no idea what I was ordering, but OH MY GOSH... I was in love with this dish! The flavors were fantastic, and they topped it with deep-fried basil. I'm not even kidding when I say I think I've dreamed about that crispy basil every day since! It was SO good! The food was definitely the star of the show for me, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I think this is such a fun little spot to meet a friend for lunch, especially if you want somewhere casual and different. That said, it is VERY small, so I personally wouldn't choose it for a family dinner with a bunch of picky eaters or rambunctious kids. The menu is also a little different than your typical Thai restaurant, so definitely keep that in mind. For dinner, I'd probably order it to-go and enjoy it at home. But for a girls' lunch or catching up with a friend? Absolutely! Great little find, and I will definitely be back for those drunken noodles and that amazing fried basil!

The husband, who was serving, checked in several times to make sure I had everything I needed. The chef also stopped by my table when she came out of the kitchen, which was such a thoughtful touch. The pork belly was very crispy(an additional fee), but too salty for my taste. The Pad Thai was good, although not the best I've had. The noodles were cooked well, and I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. It did not come spicy, but chili sauce was available to add some heat. The spicy omelette tom yum soup had a great balance of mild spice and sourness, and it tasted very authentic. The texture of the fried omelette after soaking in the soup was not my favorite, but that may come down to personal preference. The Thai iced tea had a good balance of tea and condensed milk, although it was sweeter than I prefer. You order at the counter, and the food is brought to your table afterward. Water is self-service. They also have a helpful sign explaining the ordering and seating process for first-time guests. The restaurant was very clean, nicely decorated, and had a great ambiance. I especially enjoyed the small area showcasing the chef's history and journey. Overall, the warm service and welcoming atmosphere made the experience memorable.

It's spicy, it's sweet, it's nutty, it's soothing -- it has pumpkin. The curry sauce is so good I poured what I had leftover on my mashed potatoes the next day. Everything about Thai Pepper rocks. Our waiter didn't even introduce themselves and it took us 30 minutes to get water after asking. For a long time I got Drunken Noodles whenever going to a Thai restaurant if I could but the last few times I have wanted something different than that. So on this outing I got the the House Ginger. This was a stir fry with your choice of protein (mine was chicken), ginger, stir fry sauce, garlic, onion, bell pepper, green onion and carrot. It also came with rice and the portion sizes were very satisfying and not too much. The flavor on my meal was so good, very fresh and bursting with flavor. Steve was equally impressed with his as he got the Drunken Noodles. Nothing is too fancy here. Decor is more basic but the place is clean and the food (at least mine) came out in containers but it was so good it didn't really matter. I think a lot if how it's presented is for the "to go" crowd of customers if I remember hearing that correctly from other people I chatted with about their meals here. Overall, Thai cuisine is a great choice. Environment: I arrived around 2:00 PM, and since it was past the lunch rush, there weren't many customers. The environment was very clean, with bright and spotless windows. Taste: I ordered the chicken with rice and added a portion of green curry beef. The chicken with rice was the restaurant's recommendation. It was impressive at first bite and quite enjoyable, but it became saltier as I ate toward the end. The portion of chicken was modest, so overall, it's still recommended. As for the green curry beef, it wasn't very rich, and the beef was scarce. I had expected chunks of beef, but what came out was sliced beef coated in starch. The texture wasn't great, so I wouldn't particularly recommend it. Service: The service was good. The staff came over to ask how the meal was, always serving with a smile.
