When we walked in I could tell things were off. Really basic space, not fun ambiance or decor. There were lots of people sitting in random chairs just waiting. No one had any food. We placed an order and were told the chimney cakes would be made fresh and it would take 20 minutes. To get an ice cream cone? Why wouldn't you come in an hour early and start cooking? Do ice cream stores make the waffle cones as needed? No they make them before you order. I watched the woman making the chimney cones and it looked very time consuming and labor intensive. It took over 45 minutes to get two cones. I almost asked for my money back but we had come specifically to try this out. Not worth the time or money. The cone is tasty but that ice cream is not gelato. It's basic McDonald's soft serve and not much of it. Disappointing. Save yourself the money- buy a donut, flatten it out, add some quality store bought ice cream, some chopped up Reese's, a squirt of chocolate syrup and that's it. You're welcome. read more

Went on a Wednesday night at 7:30pm. Ordered quickly and noticed four other couples sitting - three were waiting on their food. It ended up taking 32 minutes to get our two ice creams. Thirty two minutes for ice cream!!! The older gentleman and younger girl behind the counter were bickering back and forth about the online orders they were making. It was honestly a bit uncomfortable. Several delivery drivers (Uber Eats or the like) started coming in and were waiting on their pick up orders. Once we got it, it was good but definitely not great. The cone was piled with ice cream (the menu says gelato but it comes out of a soft serve machine and tastes like Dairy Queen) and whip cream. This made it impossible to get any of the doughy cone off until the ice cream was gone. The dough was not able to be ripped with my fingers and I had to pick up the dripping mess to eat it. As you can imagine, putting cold ice cream into a warm dough cone causes a lot of liquid at the bottom. I can't fathom what a sh*t show this place would be when it's actually busy, like on a weekend. Without excellent food, it wasn't worth the wait for us. We will not be back. read more

Very disappointed! My daughter found this place on social media and we were excited to try it! We waited about 10 minutes to order which was no problem. We then waited 25 minutes (which is crazy for ice cream) and I hear my name called and go to pick up our treats only to be told that they overestimated and they ran out of dough! We waited a total of 35 minutes for nothing! Very disappointing! I get it, you run out, but you honestly didn't know this a few minutes after the order was placed?!? We were not the last customers and we did not come right before closing time! I don't know if others after us got their orders or if they were told the same thing. The price was very expensive too! We stopped by here on a trip based on the photos and uniqueness. The pros were it definitely was a fun idea, and the cream that they put in was delicious, huge variety of flavors. The con was that ours was kind of raw inside, once we cracked through the crispy exterior it was a bit of like half cooked pie dough. Also, something to keep in mind is that it takes them quite awhile to make your order, we weren't expecting that and we were in a bit of a hurry. After 10 minutes of waiting I asked the ETA and we were informed that it was still going to be another 10 to 15 minutes. I told them we were in a rush and I do really appreciate that they bumped our order up, but be prepared that it might take awhile to make. Would I go and try it again, yeah probably! read more

So delicious and a fun, unique treat! I tried a classic cinnamon sugar cone filled with half chocolate gelato & half Oreo Bavarian cream. YUM!! It's served in a cup so it doesn't get too messy. The chimney cake itself is SO good, kind of like a thin brioche donut hat you can unravel like a cinnamon roll. This place is phenomenal and the staff is amazing. We've ordered from here multiple times but on my most recent visit Evelyn and Mariel were particularly special! We came at closing time and it seemed pretty busy in the store but they still managed to be very intentional and hospitable with their service to every person. The first time I had the cream in the chimney cake it was not what I expected but it was still fantastic. The cream is very thick and creamy almost like a whipped cream cheese texture? We recently visited this establishment. That plaza it is located in was next to dead due to covid. It was Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy which was nice, allowed us to enjoy the treat then and there. There seems to be quite a variety of things to order from, but I ordered the Zurich and my husband ordered the Munich. We waited about 10 minutes for our order which was freshly prepared. I will say prepare yourself, these treats are quite sweet...may even want to pack your tooth brush. The cone itself was dipped or dusted in cinnamon, not crunch like a ice cream cone but has texture. There was a whipped cream on top, buttery like which was good and topped with an Oreo. Finally, the cream itself was delicious but very rich. I was able to eat the top whipping cream and just a few bites of the actual cream due to it being sugar on top of sugar, granted I knew what I was getting into but it was just too much for me. The reason I am giving this place a three star review is because of the dishonest workers. Both my husband and myself got thirsty while enjoying the treats. So my husband went up to get a cup of water and was told due to covid they weren't giving out cups of water...ok? I'm thinking it is 115, we just came out to enjoy your place, just spent the money for two chimney cakes and included a tip, and can't get a simple cup of water? I then approach the counter and ask again and then someone, I am a was a lead, says we can't give water because we have no filtered water. I ask were is the water source they drink from and she says they just grab a bottle from the refrigerator that they sell for $2. Hmmm...again ok.
