Loved this cute little rolled ice cream shop in Mekong Plaza. There is lots of seating and even some crane games - perfect for entertaining families. Their menu has great ice cream options, including Asian-inspired flavors and traditional flavors alike. I got the macho matcha and my friend got the caramel vanilla - both satisfied our ice cream craving! The matcha rolled ice cream was good but I'm not sure if I liked the blueberry combination (personal preference). I also wanted to try their Thai tea rolled ice cream. They also sell boba tea and macaron cookies. The cherry on top was the staff - they were very patient and kind when we didn't know what to order. We were also escaping a rainstorm and they let us stay a little bit until close. Really appreciate this amazing customer service - we'll be back again!

This was a first for me. Was interesting to observe the technique used to create those curls of ice cream. Then those curls are complimented with various toppings to create the perfect combinations. I choose the S'mores item, chocolate ice cream curls with graham cracker crumbles and a fragrant, freshly toasted marshmallow. There are several more menu options, it was difficult deciding. Loved trying them out, watching my order be created, and quite efficiently finishing it off. Think we'll be back again.

I've been to Roll Ave back then and I noticed this business may have changed names and owners. Vietnamese Iced Coffee- Very good and I love it. I think they use non dairy creamer for their drinks which made it really good. Worth the trip to Mesa!

I have seen videos online of this style of ice cream making and when I saw the store, I knew I had to try it. It's funny because the amount of ice cream you get looks like less than a half of a cup but when I done mixing it and rolling it, it looks like a decent size. The place had a weird smell to it. What a treat! My family was visiting in town and mentioned a craving for rolled ice cream. I have had it once before, but did not have a go to and Yelp popped up Roll Avenue nearby. Not realizing it was located in Mekong Shopping Plaza, we found a spot to park and rolled on in - no pun attended! It shares a space with a boba tea spot, either ample seating. You do get a strong whiff of fish when you walk in, as it shares the open market space with the grocery store, so don't let it put you off! The service was so great, with the gentlemen giving a run down of fan favorites, his personal favorites and helped us narrow down from their many options! We thought about going with the cookies n cream, their top seller, but after consideration when with their mocha chip, coffee ice cream option. It's so fun watching them make it right there and then getting the option for any of the fixing from drizzles, whip, fresh fruits, pocky sticks and much more. My whole family loved their treats and we perused the market while enjoying. They ran about 8 bucks a pop, but with the freshness, quality and ability to customize it was well worth it! Also very shareable.

I got all of the toppings, such as carmaker sauce, chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, an Oreo, and a pocky stick. The toppings elevated the dessert to a delectable sundae. Service: Being my first time at this shop, the cashier gave me a stamp card. She was also kind enough to offer all of the toppings. She was extra precise and neat when placing the fixings on my ice cream. Ambiance: 5/5 The inside is cute and aesthetic. There are multiple toy vending machines and even has a wall with hearts attached to it. Overall, the rolled ice cream is decadent and is a must visit if you are stopping by Mekong Plaza.

This was our first time trying rolled ice cream. I have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife and I got the Mocha chip and my son got the Mango Tango. This ice cream is different. It isn't overly sweet and heavy. But still packs quite a flavor punch. The employees are very nice too. The parlor was clean and had a lively feel. The final plus is the price. All of the choices were $8.99. I think that's a deal by today's standards. read more

We love rolled ice cream places, the technique they use ends up with a creamier, thicker ice cream roll that's fun to watch them make and fun to eat. This place is just a little on the pricier side and you might not want to share. The folks running the place were nice and patient while we were making our choice and choosing toppings. The Thai tea ice cream (romantic Bangkok) was really well-balanced and tasty, and goes well with the toppings. Located in Mekong palace, quiet on the inside with comfy chairs. This is my husband and I favorite go-to tea spot. We come once every week and they never disappoint. The employees are always nice and give great recommendations. I like how they have punch cards. They have a big drink menu and if you like energy drinks, they have tasty ones. You can also customize your sugar level which I always do. Shoutout to the young gentleman who always helps us. He always answers our questions and remembers us. I've had other drinks at this plaza and this one is the best and has waaayyy better service. They're also an ice cream shop read more

The experience of coming here and watching them make the ice cream is half the fun. It's almost like the Benihana of ice cream places, as you're so memorized by the process that it makes it so much fun to eat! We have been coming to Mekong Plaza for at least three years and finally decided to stop here after our dinner a few weeks back. It might sound weird, but I feel like the rolled ice cream tastes like Dippin' Dots, which I love. You can get whatever you want on your rolled ice cream, and the staff is accommodating with any questions. When we came later in the evening, it was more relaxed, with plenty of seats. I can 100% see this place packed during the summer and every chair filled. Since it takes a little time for them to make the rolled ice cream, prepare for the wait. There is usually plenty of parking in the Mekong Plaza parking lot and I'm sure there will be more in the future with the expansion. Make sure to have your camera out to take photos! They have a photo wall too for taking pictures with your ice cream if you're into that too. read more

The Ice cream was good. My son enjoyed watching them make it and picking out his toppings. The young man behind the counter was helpful and explained how the serving worked. A nice place to seat down and get out of the heat for a while. We did have to wait only a few minutes for a seat to become available, more seating would be nice and it wasn't for lack of room. I just wanna have abs- -solutely all the ice cream. You think you're getting dessert but you could potentially have a six-pack if you tape a 2x3 piece of egg waffle to your stomach. #LifeHack #DontCopyMeBuzzfeed So on this excursion, I had a Vietnamese coffee and shared a Hong Kong-style egg waffle. The coffee was bold and bitter -- much like my soul. The egg waffle? Delightful -- much like all you Yelpers! The waffle was crisp on the outside and squishy on the inside just the way a HK-style egg waffle should be. I had mine topped with whipped cream, condensed milk, and some bananas. If you want a true HK experience, get it plain and enjoy the squishy center on its own. It tastes like a typical waffle/fortune cookie but hey, it's a treat! My friends ordered behind me and I found a spot for us to sit and chat. The interior is mostly tables for two chairs, but we made a table of three. In the future, I'd probably grab to go as it's fairly small. Still a solid choice for a sweet treat and I would recommend it if you are in the area.

The rolled ice-cream is something I've never experienced before. It was definitely cool to watch. They put real fruit on your "rolls" at the very end. It takes them around 7 minutes to complete your order, but it is neat to watch and know that it is being made fresh. The flavor of the green tea and mango ice cream was bland and didn't taste like anything. It was merely substance. The price is fair given the quality of taste.
