In his garage you have the simulator to hit onto. It's a great location now with the summer heat. But it's always good to go outside at the driving range. I have been an high handicap golfer for the past 15 years. At 52 yrs old, I had to make a decision to see if I really want to improve my game. It's been interesting, I knew my game would get worst before I start seeing improvement. And I was correct! However, whats keeping me going is that I am starting to see shots I haven't done before. I'm also starting to understand what exactly he wants me to do. Shane is a great instructor, he's very easy to understand, and very easy to talk to. I can ask him any questions, and he gives me an easy answer that I can understand. Now I'm very excited to attend a lesson. Can't wait to improve and shane is making this a lot of fun.

We loved the small group personal attention we got from our coaches, to include Coach Martin. Not gonna lie, we got to our hotel exhausted each night. Every day was an exercise in deconstructing our bad habits into good ones. That grip, that grip, that grip. I promise at the end of the course you WILL know your correct grip. This makes a huge difference. I learned how to use my irons. I've been "allergic" to my irons because I never knew how to use them. Now I do. Our coaches, Jonas and Mike were problem solvers. They would work with me and keep trying to find the right solution to my issues until they were happy with the results. I can't wait to get to our local golf course to try out my new skills, thanks to Tour Striker Golf Academy. Grand Canyon College Golf Course…read more For the old timers in Phoenix, this golf course was the former public city golf course known as Maryvale Golf Course. I played here many times as Maryvale, first time since Grand Canyon University took over the management and maintenance of the golf course. Have to say GCU has made many improvements to the golf course, fairways are thicker with grass, greens are fast and challenging. The off fairway areas are thin to no grass and the old Tamarack Trees are the same as before . The clubhouse is the major difference, new and beautiful with nice banquet area for meeting and lunch for tournaments. Good job GCU

Its always some kind of rude remark. Its 8am on a Saturday. We pay a lot of money to be here. Were all excited we finally have a day where we can enjoy a round of golf. Its not that hard to put a smile on your face and not try to ruin the fun for others.
