4/4/20 - visited store again today. Associate was great - took my ID and my order # to search inventory / records. Gun hasn't arrived yet, but I received an update... delivery is expected next week. I also received a nice email explaining the situation. I certainly appreciate the help / customer service, moved from 2 to 4 stars. My experience is similar to John K. I purchased a gun online and received confirmation of my order on 3/16/20. I'm still waiting for information about the status of my order. I've been to the shop several times since 3/16 and the employees, although professional and helpful overall (bought other firearms there), have no information to share about when the gun will arrive. AZ Guns is a go to place here in Chandler. It had been awhile since I had bought a gun, thankfully, they give them to us at work ;) I had received many recommendations to check out AZ Guns as it is a local and veteran owned business. Several people told me they have good pricing and are good people to work with. I stopped in once to talk about transitioning to an Glock 45 MOS but was not sure about what red dot I wanted yet. They were quick to show me the G45MOS they had in stock and let me check it out. They gave me some information on the gun and some other comparisons of what people usually get. They let me check out a few red dots too. My next trip in I was confident in what I wanted to buy and bought myself the G45. The process was quick and painless. I remembered the staff from the last time I was in and it was smooth sailing. I even met the owner, which was pretty cool. Turned out we had seen each other around before. The next time I went in I had my eye on a Trijicon RMR. I had looked online and noted they had some with good pricing. I decided I'd stay local and with the shop I knew. I wanted to go hands on and check them out first though. This time, when I went into the shop there was a female there. I explained I wanted a RMR and she pointed to a wall with all their 'sights.' I noted the red dot was not there but knew it was in the cabinet and went to check them out. I don't recall if they had RMR's there but did not see any. I asked if they had any and was told they keep their stock online and did not have any in the store. This was kind of disappointing and ultimately led to me going somewhere else to get hands on and make a purchase. I am not sure if they just are not stocked or if there would have been a way to have one ordered in so I could check it out but this was not explained other than to go and order online. Overall, I really like this place. I had a pleasant two experiences, which led to me buying my firearm there. My third experience for the RMR went a little less smooth and I felt not very confident just making a purchase online without seeing it. This led me to purchase one from another shop, however I will still come back here first the next time I am in need of something in hopes of getting those first customer service experiences again. read more

This was my fiancé and I's last stop today after shopping at 3 different places for a fun that was perfect for me for my birthday. Out of every HUGE market gun shop we went to, these guys had the best selection for what we were looking for at the most affordable price. They have amazing service and are super friendly as well. As of now I'm not sure what to think. I placed my order for a rifle, which the web site clearly stated was in stock. I received an email indicating my order has been placed and I would be contacted once the rifle arrives in store. The order was placed on March 22nd and I have not heard anything further even though I have been charged for the purchase. I'm a reasonable person and understand the current events will affect turn around times however I am totally unable to get through to anyone on the phone. I have questions regarding the rifle and would just like to ask those and inquire on the statuses of the order. I left a voicemail the last time I tried to call a few days ago and I have not heard back. I would drive there but I work and it would be difficult to get there during business hours. I will update the review once the purchase is complete. UPDATE 4/30/2020 Okay I did go into the store and they told me they have no way of knowing when my gun would arrive but they would email me when it did. However I found a similar gun, different manufacturer which they had in stock at the store. It was only a little more cost so Robert helped me out and we did an exchange and I paid the difference. He also gave me a discount on an extra magazine and ammo so he was really great. Everyone I interacted with was courteous and professional while making me feel welcome. Really cool shop with a very nice selection, not too big but not too small either. My buddy went in with his heart set on one of two firearms and they had both. As a member of several local forums and gun groups I'm always looking to something interesting and new. AZ Guns had an ad on a local online resource on a Glock 43 with a price that I couldn't even match online, without shipping or transfer and that was if I could find it in stock at all! Not only do they have killer prices but Brandon was great to deal with. While I was there two other guys came into the shop. One waiting on a transfer and the other just there to see what was on the shelf. While it was apparent Brandon knew them both, I definitely got the sense that they were there because they (like myself) knew that they were going to get great service and a good deal. I drove from Peoria to pick up the G43 and although it wasn't quite my cup of tea, the price and the service were unmatched. I'm keeping an eye out for anything else that they have available because I wouldn't hesitate to make the drive down there again. If you're looking for a great shop with no BS pricing and great service this is a tough one to beat! I just hope they open up a Peoria or Glendale location! read more

Quality place! The prices are dirt cheap. They have a lot of police buy back weapons that are surprisingly in great shape. Staff is friendly and knowledgable. The negative reviews of this place are all wrong. These guys do everything by the book. Have I mentioned the prices? It's a wonder that anyone would buy a gun from anywhere else. Make sure to check them out first before buying a gun. They don't have a ton of accessories and holsters, but they have a few that are pretty good quality. read more

Spent 2 hours checking out a gun for my wife. Got tons of insight from 3 staff members (Brandon, Jeff, Chris?). Walked out with an M&P Shield. Came back today after shooting 2 others for myself at a gun range. Placed an order for me ( XD 40 Mod.2). Shop was packed with bikers on a planned stop. Staff still went out of their way to help me. I liked the fact that the guys I talked to stated up front they weren't "gun nerds" and didn't claim to know every part, every gun, every time. Yes the shop is small and parking is a bit small but so are the prices. Don't waste gas, you'll just have to come back here. read more

Purchased my first ever gun from AZ Guns yesterday. The sales associate was extremely nice and very knowledgeable. I was looking at a few .45's and 9mm's. I am very new to the gun world but I am not new to how a customer should be treated. I took the gun today to the shooting range to find out that not only does this model gun not work but there is a major recall on this exact model. My question is 1. How did 5 employees at the gun range know about the recall and the information about it and this gun shop did not? 2. Why are they selling broken guns that have defects and not offering any customer service at all. The two gentleman I spoke to on the phone were not apologetic at all when telling me that there was nothing they can do. I now have to send a BRAND NEW gun that I bought from them back into the manufacturer and be without of a gun for 30-45 days when the whole point of getting this gun was for self defense but now I'm stranded with no gone again. The manager said, "there is nothing I can do." He was not apologetic at all nor did he care about my needs or interest being someone who just spent $500 in their store the previous day. I am extremely into customer service and if this was handled differently with employees that actually knew more than the two words, I would be okay sending this into the manufacturer but this matter was handled very poorly and I will never step foot back into this store. Their prices are cheaper than the rest but I'll pay more for products that actually work; not faulty products as serious as a gun. Shop at AZ Guns if you want your gun to not work when you need it the most. read more
