The menu is limited, so you would expect they had perfected their offerings. We had read somewhere that their Reuben sandwiches were excellent, so we gave them a try. Imagine our surprise when the sandwiches arrived wrapped in butcher paper, having been microwaved in that paper, to which it stuck, rather than fried with a crispy crust. Not only was the outside of the bread a little soggy rather than crispy, but it looked terrible. The ingredients were fine -- rye bread, tasty corned beef, and sauerkraut. But the total package was nothing like I have ever seen or tasted anywhere else -- and not in a good way. We asked for extra mustard and received a couple of plastic packets that both turned out to be almost impossible to open. All in all, a disappointing experience.

You order at the counter and the sandwiches come with sides AND a pickle! They have many different side options we opted for the two potato salad options one was a savory bacon and the other one was the original with a mustard. Sandwich I had was the mad Italian and my husband had the meatball. Service was so fast we maybe waited 10 min max. They fill this sandwich with a ton of meat and the dressing on it is definitely home made along with the sides. If you're looking for an amazing sub sandwich you've found the right place.

All three times I've been here, I have left with a happy, full belly plus leftovers. Highly recommend trying their cinnamon roll (my friend was who recommended this to me because they are the size of your face and she wasn't wrong!) - it was so delicious that I had to come back and get it again. I've also tried one of their specials - a cinnamon apple French toast which came with a side of eggs and choice of sausage or bacon. The sausage patty is housemade, flavorful with a good peppery taste. My husband has had the corned beef hash - he orders it extra crispy and said that they got it spot on. The dish also comes with hashbrowns, eggs, and toast. Prices are good for the portions you get. We have definitely added Gus Balons to our list of breakfast spots on the east side.

The customer service is great, always ready to help and knowledgeable of the menu. Omar, owner, has a great personality. There is a consideration in the making of the food, use of ingredients for example the use of olive oil for the dressings and the chicken cooked fresh. Salad Nation is located in the malls food court, so that experience in itself can vary from very crowded, busy and loud to quiet and empty. Plenty of seating though! My go to choice is one of the salad size options (regular or large) that come in 'bucket' which is a deep bowl and of course some waffle fries. There are several dressings that sound deciduous but I find myself continuing to go back to the Cilantro Avocado. The waffle fries are insanely great. Hand batter and perfectly fried, some of my favorite in town... like top 3. Being that it's a mall, there is plenty of parking, bathrooms and space.
