I was scheduled and billed for lawn service on July 21. My tenant later sent me photos on July 23 showing the lawn in very poor condition and asked what was going on. I contacted AMS myself and was told the crew had apparently been unable to access the backyard because of an issue with the gate. No one from AMS contacted me to let me know the work had not been completed, yet my card was charged the full amount for the visit. * Had to catch and correct a billing discrepancy myself. AMS charged me $195 for an "irrigation audit" and told me that amount would be credited toward the repair if I proceeded with the work. I approved an $880 irrigation manifold repair--and was then charged for both the repair and the audit. The promised credit was not applied automatically. I only received it after noticing the discrepancy myself, calling AMS, and asking them to correct it. * Expensive work with almost no follow-up. Despite spending hundreds of dollars on irrigation repairs and ongoing property maintenance, I received no meaningful follow-up communication or photos documenting the completed work. * Repeated requests for property photos were ignored. Because I do not live at the property, I specifically requested photos so I could verify its condition and the work being performed. Those requests repeatedly went unanswered. * A major irrigation issue went unnoticed. The irrigation timers were apparently not checked, and plants along an entire side of the property were ultimately lost. At no point did AMS alert me that there was a watering problem. When the issue became apparent, I saw no meaningful effort to acknowledge what had happened, determine how it had been missed, or propose a solution. What is most frustrating is that none of these problems required extraordinary service to avoid. I expected basic communication when work could not be completed, accurate billing, reasonable documentation of expensive repairs, and someone paying enough attention to the property to flag an obvious irrigation problem. Instead, managing AMS became another job for me: checking whether work had actually been performed, reviewing invoices for errors, repeatedly asking for photos, and discovering property problems after damage had already occurred. I brought these items up with the Operations Manager over the phone and email and was consistently disappointed in their responses. For a homeowner who needs a landscaping company they can trust to manage a property without constant supervision, I would advise looking at other companies. He replied, " maybe our company isn't the right fit". Well there you go. His reply spoke volumes. We fired them! FYI, I have found a new landscaper for half the price and comes with very high recomendations! AMS, your take away: do the job right so you can keep your customers. The simple task was to upkeep the yard in the condition it got cleaned to for certain amount. They have been failing to do the job if supervision is not applied. Furthermore, when you ask them why they stopped watering the bushes for example, the answer was to pay them $25 more per visit so they hold the hose for 5 min. They do not upkeep the yard, the trees started to die, too much weed killer as well, perhaps. We never watered those bushes when we lived there, they are native to the desert and never died. The yard grows some weeds, oops, it is $120 more to spray the " extra" weeds. Because they have not being upkeeping or over spraying with weed killer, the bushes and the small trees started to die. I have a dead young palm tree as well. When you tell them to do what you have being paying them for, it is an extra $100 per visit. What have you been doing for the money you get? The bushes and small trees are the only things to maintain. Have you being mowing the rocks? When you do the " cleaning and maintenance trip" and you charge without getting the job done consistently, then ask for extra money to do what you were getting paid for and you did not do, it is a scam. $220 per hour for yard maintenance visit? I'm sorry , it's not BMW dealership service shop.

I would have been willing to pay more since there was one extra bush added to the original quote. All I would have liked was a counter offer and then we could have made a decision. Instead they lied, said they had a broke hedger, and then never came back or called to cancel. I should have read all the similar reviews on google before booking. I got a quote last week to get some trees trimmed and yard work completed. I guess there must have been miscommunication because when the actual landscaper (not the guy who gave me the quote) came today, he disagreed with the quote. He seemed really upset about it, which I don't blame him. But he agreed to do the work anyways for the quoted price. I then get a knock on the door 5 minutes later; they said their hedger broke down, and they would be back shortly to get started. Well they never came back. They never called and didn't answer or return my call. I will never be using them again.
