Completely empty inside should have been a clue as my usual salon is wildly busy all weekend and I wish I read the other bad reviews. Overcharged $ for gel fill in, only did 2 coats of SNS polish when I said you could still see through it she told me it's my fault for picking a light color... I've never had a tech refuse to do another coat. $81 for uneven see through nails. Also left specs of my old polish so there are red dots all over my nails and bubbles. Stay away! I just want you to know that my experience at your salon was by far the worst i've ever had. Your employees were rude and i asked for simple french tip design and she refused to do it because she "couldn't". They cut my fingers as well as my grandmothers. And the acrylic is extremely thin after i asked for it to be a little thicker and it is completely uneven and it's all over my hands. In addition to all of these issues, she tried to charge me 15$ extra even though she didn't even put polish on my nails. We were looking for a relaxing day out and this was nothing short of a mess. Visited Azalea Nails today for the first time in many years. Was pleasantly surprised to find new faces! Erica was such a pleasure!!! Top notch! I had my eye brows waxed and a full set of SNS. My nails look FAB and my eyebrows are on point!! I will be making this go to nail salon for now on! Than you than you thank Update: I went back for a fill in. My nails look horrible. They soaked off my SNS and in the process destroyed my tips. Within an hour of being home 3 nails broke. I really wanted to like this place but now I won't be back. I shouldn't have to rearrange my schedule to go back to a salon to get my nails repaired. Also, the shape of my nails is BAD. All the staff is super pleasant, just not very skilled. Very disappointing. Mediocre at best. Three of us went for deluxe pedicures and manicures and paid $220.00. We requested that we receive service and finish at the same time. We were told " no problem". The pedicures started and fished at about the same time but they were rushed and the "deluxe" extras we paid for were given minimally. The pedicures were given at different times, rushed and minimal. Overall we were very disappointed. The service was weak and we really did not receive what we paid for. read more

Suddenly I couldn't book my regular appointments and was left to watch my tech while some new person did a shotty job on my gels. Anyways they were empty, should've taken that as a sign but anyways they filed my feet so hard and yes I ended up with ingrown toenails on both feet, and I haven't been able to get rid of them since. To amend my previous review about this place being pricey, I've been to several other nail salons since I'm constantly traveling for work and they are by far the best deal and the best quality. I drive two hours every three weeks just to get my manicure!! I will consider moving closer to them when I make my next move.... I do not think I could live without them!! This place is a bit pricey but well worth it... The nail techs that I have had always speak english, always a plus. I get the gel nails here and they always last me about three weeks!! They are expanding the salon, just in time for the warm weather, so that they can accommodate more guests. read more

My granddaughter and I had our nails done last week in this salon. My granddaughter requested a full set of nails based on their ad for $35. They did not have the nude nail, only clear. The woman did not file them as requested, there was thick chunks of glue under the nail, the tech said she couldn't paint the nails the way my granddaughter had requested at the beginning of the appointment and had even shown her a picture of what she wanted. The tech didn't tell her until the nail was on that she couldn't accommodate her request! My granddaughter told her then she didn't want any polish at all. The woman tried to charge her $45 for this horrible job! The cost was advertised at $35. We left there and had to go to another salon to have the disasterous job repaired and her nails painted. I went in to have my brows waxed and when I first walked through the door she tried to sale a box of masks to me. I told her no thank you just need the brows today. Once I was in the back I told her the wax was too hot she ignored me. Then I tried to show her some hairs she missed then she pushed my hand away TWICE! Finally, I asked the price if it was still 8.00 then she looks at me.and hesitated and.finally said it.would be $10.00 for me. My brown are uneven in length and volume. I'm so disappointed with the overall experience at Azalea Nails. I recently moved to the Cumming area and thought that I was bound to love this place due to reviews and its location (at the Collection at Forsyth). Not so much: - I went in for a regular manicure and to remove my previous gel manicure in order for my nails to breathe... in doing so - she basically scraped the skin right off my pinky and index finger. In other words, she was super rough on my skin and nails. They kept bleeding and hurt like crazy, but she didn't put anything on the wounds to help disinfect or stop the bleeding. Instead, she put my hands in a hot heating pad with cuticle softener. Ouch! - The tools that she used came from an already opened bag... I'm used to brand new tools (from a sealed wrapper) so the germophobe in me was uneasy - especially while being pregnant. - It was like an oven in there. It didn't help that it was a rainy, humid day but I was sweating bullets the entire time. Not very relaxing. - She used a dusty flyer (from another company that had been mailed to her) to rest my hands on and a dirty looking towel under that. - Color selection was ok. The only brand I recognized was OPI... but I went ahead and chose a different brand - which has already chipped in ONE day. Just not what I'm looking for in terms of quality, cleanliness and overall experience. I will not be returning. read more

Usually, I do not distinguish between nail salons. Honestly, they're all pretty much the same to me. This place is huge though, and I feel like they have about 20 people working at all times. They have roughly 3-5 manicure stations, and probably 8-10 pedicure spas. Often times I see workers just hanging out in the back, but they're always there on reserve when people come in. Azalea Nails is located across from the DSW within the "Collection Forsyth" shopping center, formerly known as The Avenue Forsyth. It's next to the Hagan Daaz and Chocolatiere. Of the three times I've been here, the turnaround has been pretty quick and you're seated almost immediately. At least if you have to wait, you get to soak your feet in a nice hot water bath and enjoy a nice back massage. Their gel manicures are only $25 with removal of the old polish, and they have a pretty large selection of colors. They have different tiers of pedicures that include massages, foot scrubs, and the callous removals. I'm never a big fan of the callous removal since I feel like you repeatedly have to get the service when you start, so I generally stick to the basic pedicures where they clip your nails and cut the cuticles. While I'm not always a fan of getting the polish, I like they cut and clean your nails up nicely. The gel polish lasts roughly 3 weeks, if not longer and your nails usually start growing out before the polish chips. Overall, I'd say they spend a good amount of time on your nails and do not rush the service even when they are busy. read more

I decided today to give Azalea Nails a chance again after having a bad experience a couple years ago. I took my mom along and long story short, there are so many options for nail salons and this shouldn't be one. If I could give zero stars, I would. My hands were placed in acetone in a bag for way too long to the point where they were so dried out and the technician did nothing about it despite me mentioning it multiple times. The tech rushed through the process so quickly. My mom's tech was so rough the entire time. The massage chairs also made a lot of noise. The tech who did my feet gave me 5 minutes of massage TOTAL for the entire pedicure. You couldn't even feel the massage, I honestly felt like both techs just didn't want to be there at all. She also skipped a massage that my mom received, despite us both receiving a deluxe pedicure. I even had to tell the tech to turn on the jets inside the water. My tech that did my nails just disappeared and didn't say thank you, give me oil for my cuticles, or anything really. She simply walked off to go get food and just eat it in front of us. I'm leaving with my hands still so dry and we spent so more than our usual spot for much, much less services. It felt so rushed despite us being the only customers left. Do yourself a favor and just skip this location, other locations offer so much more for a lower price. read more

I used to visit this nail salon frequently. However, over time the technicians' services became lackluster. I decided to give them a final try, only because it was close to my work, and left incredibly disappointed. I typically request a gel manicure as I have brittle nails. My final visit was a disaster. The nail technician obviously rushed and not only missed the edges of my nail bed but painted my cuticle skin as well. I brought this up to her and she insisted that her work was fine. I also requested she apply an additional layer of polish because of having brittle nails and she yet again insisted her work was fine, and that an additional layer was not necessary. She clearly did not let my nails cure long enough under the UV lamp. Not wanting to argue with her anymore, I left, went home and showered, and the gel polish lifted entirely from two of my nails. On several occasions, I have left with scabbed cuticles because they nick the skin when clipping off cuticles. Even worse: when you bring this to the technician's attention, they blatantly deny nicking your skin. I have some understanding as to why the establishment mandates cash only tips, but I also believe they should be a bit more lenient on that rule, and allow tips to be added to charge of a debit or credit card for services. I don't always carry cash. But I don't appreciate being pressured to use a small ATM in a closet and being charged a $3.75 convenience charge to withdrawal increments of $20 cash all to leave a mere $5-$8 tip, which is an incredibly generous amount to offer even being as disappointed with the services received. Ridiculous. Don't bother using this place. read more

I really love coming here and getting my gel nails. If only I lived closer I would be here every two weeks! This place however, is a bit pricey but well worth it! I always get the gel mani and the spa pedicure. If you have some extra cash I'd recommend on getting a nail design but that will run your bill up a bit. They do get very busy so call ahead and make an appointment. The staff is really nice and will really work with you on getting the design or color that you want. They have a loyalty card that gives you a free mani if visited over 5 or 10 times. So, come one, come all, come get your nails did on!! Lol Don't forget to bring cash to tip because they don't allow you to place it on the bill, that's their only down fall but other than that this place rocks!!! They're getting four stars because as much as I love this place I hate having to remember to get cash out to tip. read more

I have been to this place twice now - and won't darken their door step again. I should have been clued in when at both visits the place was empty. The technicians are very unqualified. This last trip an SNS took more than 2 hours. The technician was clueless - didn't even know how to wrap the tin foil on my fingers correctly. I got a French manicure - the whites are all uneven, my nails are lumpy and there are spots where there is no SNS powder. When I pointed out a spot she missed - she told me to "chill down. I'll fix it." Twice she remove the polish because she was applying it in the wrong order. Instead of lotion she DOUSED my hands up to my wrists in cuticle oil. I have been getting my nails done regularly for decades now - this was the worst excuse for a "spa" I have ever been to. At 4 p.m. on a Saturday they were empty - and now I know why. I look forward to when the close their doors and a new salon opens in that spot. read more

After being the only customer at the beginning, I was only given a pedicure despite mentioning it twice. While the visual upgrades are nice with the new management, I'm not going to push to give them more business. One of the gals was too busy doing her own nails. I'll go get my mani somewhere else. This was the WORST nail experience I have EVER had , if I could give it zero stars I definitely would . My original request was a fill-in and gel polish . My request was shot down while Erica was on the phone, half way listening to me . She INSISTED that I get SNS . Which I've had before but I was explaining to her that I already had acrylic tips on my nails and I just wanted a fill . She continued to ignore my request and follow through with the SNS . I told my nail tech that I wanted then super square and super short , she told me that she was going to do it after she finished the dip process ... when she was done my nails weren't square or short , and they were SUPER THICK . I asked if they were supposed to be that thick and Erica's response was " it's because you didn't tell her before hand . You should have done that " WHICH I ACTUALLY DID TELL HER , and her response was " i'm going to do it after " . At this point I was assigned a new nail tech . Who took all of my SNS off and filed my nails back down . I asked for one gel color and they were out of it , so Erica brought me a different color that I didn't pick . I didn't like it so I tried to pick another one and she ends up saying " is this the final choice " as if this all was my fault . I am VERY displeased and I will NOT be back. Jenny is good for brow shaping. However, the lady that did my nails (didn't get her name) didn't even remove the clear polish I had on before she did my manicure. When she painted my nails you could see the outline of the old top coat I had on. I'm very picky when it comes to pedicures. I like my cuticles cut throughly and the gentleman that did my pedicure did not impress me. In addition he asked me if I wanted an additional service which I thought was included and it was an up charge. Horrible nail salon. My girlfriend and I brought our daughters. All we got from the moment we stepped in the door was attitude. Our girls couldn't decide which color for their mani/pedi and they were rushed. "Pick a color and sit down!" I'm sorry....but they were downright rude. The manager (maybe owner) wore a lot of makeup and was the worst. She did my manicure (gels) and pushed my cuticles back without the normal oil and process. It hurt and she didn't care.
