This didn't really hit the mark... the food wasn't bad but honestly nothing that I would be craving to go back. We came on a weekend night and it was kinda dead. The drinks were horrible, for them having a limited menu of cocktails we thought the ones listed would be great but they were quite the opposite. The service was ehhh... again, nothing absolutely horrible (other than the drinks) but we were excited to try this place out & that excitement faded fairly quickly.

Azara is a new physician-owned restaurant on the beltline that aims to combine more wholesome, healthy eating with a nice atmosphere. There were a lot of pros and cons so it's easier to break it down by category: Food: 5/10 Drinks: 8/10 Atmosphere: 10/10 Service: 10/10 The food is some mix of Spanish and Mediterranean-style tapas. We tried 10 items on the menu and the only thing we really loved was the pollo ancho, although it was inconsistent. We ordered a second pollo ancho and it had so much less flavor compared to the first. Overall, the food severely lacked seasoning which was disappointing. Some things tasted overcooked, like the salmon cakes and cauliflower steak, on top of needing more flavor. The Earth Rolls, Goat Cheese Puffs, and Saffron Pilaf were decent. The Mac and cheese lacked flavor, cheese, and any sort of salt. I would not recommend. The pollo enyucado is pretty much an empanada but it needs more filling inside. It was mostly just the dough part. Overall, I would not come back here to eat. You're paying premium prices for food that lacks flavor and isn't very filling. However, the atmosphere is great. It's very modern and has a classy vibe to it. In addition to the main dining area, they have an enclosed rooftop with a bar that is really nice. I would come back for drinks. I warn that the margarita is very sweet, though. We did not try other cocktails. We instead had wine and beers, but it was disappointing that for a brand new place, they were actually out of a bunch of the beers and wines on the menu.

I really wanted to love this restaurant because I loved the wellness concept and making healthier foods at a nice restaurant, but I was left unsatisfied overall. My friends and I tried this place out and decided to order a round of tapas and drinks to start for the table. Our two servers were really sweet even when informing us that they did not have some of the beer and wine we ordered on hand--I didn't think too much of it since they've only been open for 6 weeks. For the tapas, we ordered the earth rolls, goat cheese puffs, salmon cakes, sweet corn ribs, mac & cheese, pollo enyucado, and the chimichurri cauliflower. We honestly were pretty disappointed in most of these items save for the earth rolls and goat cheese puffs mainly due to the lack of seasoning. The salmon cakes were severely under seasoned--it seemed like the chef heavily relied on the lemon juice and failed to focus on seasoning the salmon itself since it was bland, the sweet corn ribs didn't have much depth to it at all save for intense heat, the mac and cheese was really bland and seemed to not have much bechamel sauce since it wasn't creamy at all, the pollo enyucado seemed to barely have any chicken in it and was under seasoned, and the chimichurri cauliflower was really wet and under seasoned--it seems that they probably didn't allow it to dry enough before grilling it or the overcrowded it, which can steam it instead. The earth rolls and goat cheese puffs were beautifully made at least. We ended up ordering the pollo ancho and saffron pilaf as well since we were still pretty hungry. Thankfully, these two items pretty much saved the night! The pollo ancho was really well cooked and juicy, and it was packed full of flavor. Admittedly, I've had better saffron pilaf before when it comes to the overall flavor, but I still appreciated it along with the little extras like the dried apricots. Our group loved the pollo ancho dish so much that we ordered a second one. The flavor on the second one dimmed a little bit and was slightly overcooked on some parts, but we still enjoyed it. I probably would've rated this place lower if it weren't for the pollo ancho, the sweet servers, and how the owner stopped by each table to introduce himself and inform us all about his story and his vision for the restaurant. I'm not sure if this was just an off night or if they are just working out the kinks, but I definitely believe they should make some changes in how the chef prepares and seasons the food before I could consider returning.

So it's my birthday weekend and I decided to have an engagement at Azara. I reached out online a week ago to make a reservation. No one ever got back to me. I called on Wednesday to make a reservation and was able to make one for a party of 10 on the rooftop. I got a call on Friday around 5 PM confirming my reservation for 8 PM. I get to the restaurant and I'm told that there is no reservation for me but they figure out how to make it happen anyway. I'm instructed to walk up the stairs and meet the hostess at the top of the stairs I get there. She takes us to what is supposed to be our table and she has us wait in the middle of the floor between the seats and the bar to find a table for us. She comes back, takes us to our table and it's dirty. There are glasses that are there that have been used from cocktails. We sit we have a server that comes in greet us about 10 minutes after us sitting and he tells us that he will get water I asked for no ice. He brings back five glasses of water to which only one has ice. I'm a little confused at this point. It takes about 20 minutes for us to get a menu. We had to ask our Server for the menu because he was nowhere to be found. We get the menus we wait about another 15 minutes before we can order cocktails and I noticed that our Server is attentive to everyone's table but ours he seemed a little overwhelmed. We order our cocktails they come we then about 10 minutes later order our food and it comes to us by a runner. Our waiter never came back to see how the food was he finally comes and asked if we want anything else at this point I'm so disappointed in the service from the time I walked through the door to the time I leave. I had a friend that had to leave because her parking had run out and we can't find our server once again. I have to literally get up go to the bar. Ask someone if they can find our server about 10 minutes later he finally comes. My friend ended up with a ticket because she went over the time that she was supposed to be in her parking space. The food was amazing. I was happy to have some options that were vegetarian/vegan because I am a vegan, but I'm a little taken back by the horrible service that I had. I forgot to mention that I am a professional chef and good service is so important to me, especially when I'm in an establishment that is absolutely gorgeous. Has beautiful views from the rooftop and it's packed with people. Don't know that I'll be back because the ambience, good views, and good food just isn't enough that is not the full package.

Tried this place on their grand opening night. I enjoyed the complimentary cava and the dip trio. I wasnt a huge fan of the other items I ordered (macaroni & Cheese and Salmon cakes). They lacked flavor. I might come back and try other items or go to the rooftop (it was closed for a private event).

Absolutely Incredible - Best Meal I've Had While Traveling!…read more I travel all over the country for work, and I can honestly say Delbar delivered one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment I sat down, my bartender Taz took exceptional care of me. I wasn't familiar with the menu, so I trusted her recommendations, and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. Every single dish she chose was outstanding. I started with the fresh pita and hummus topped with the mushroom, shishito pepper, and egg addition. The pita was warm, fresh, and unlike anything I've had before. The hummus was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The chicken wings were phenomenal, perfectly grilled with incredible flavor and just the right amount of char. The highlight of the night was the lamb neck with the Polo Sefid. The lamb was unbelievably tender and flavorful, and paired with the saffron rice, it was one of the most memorable dishes I've ever eaten. What truly elevated the experience was Taz's service. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about the food. Her recommendations made the entire meal unforgettable. If I hadn't trusted her guidance, I would've missed out on an amazing culinary experience. Beyond the incredible food, Delbar has an atmosphere that is truly special. The entire restaurant feels warm, welcoming, and almost familial as if you're being welcomed into someone's home rather than simply dining out. The lighting is absolutely gorgeous, creating the perfect ambiance without feeling overly formal. The decor is tasteful and elegant, the bar area is stunning, and the dining room strikes a perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. Even the approach to the restaurant and the outdoor space are beautifully designed. Every detail feels intentional and contributes to an experience that is as memorable as the food itself. Delbar has officially become a must-visit anytime I'm in Atlanta. I'll absolutely be returning, and next time I'll be bringing family all the way from Reno, Nevada so they can experience it too. Thank you Taz! Thank you, Delbar, for an unforgettable evening!

The service has always been really great, and the owner is genuinely nice and always ready for a pleasant conversation. But sometimes the food comes out... average at best? I really only come here when I have the taste for mediterranean fare but don't feel like cooking it since it's so nearby. There are some things they do well. I like their baba ganoush, hummus, and beet salad. But other things are a bit lackluster and the meats can be a hit or miss. Sometimes it's dry, other times it's succulent. The pita is toasted, but you can surely tell it isn't made fresh. My husband is obsessed with wings and even he said the wings served here are a BIG no. Also cannot recommend the fries, as they've been notoriously dry and cold. Perhaps we should not have expected good wings given that it's primarily mediterranean fare lol. The parking situation is also abysmal. They share a really small lot and the individual spots are poorly marked. This place is off of Briarcliff and the traffic is notorious for being bad, so that makes coming and going that much harder in a lot that's already a little treacherous. When the parking lot is full, it is like playing 2-ton Tetris. I'll also note that the hours can sometimes be a suggestion, and they unexpectedly close earlier than indicated (but will leave a handwritten note). This place seems to be a local favorite. The prices are nice. I just wish it was more reliable with taste and quality.

Worse, there was no diced cucumbers in the yogurt. Probably they mistook my order for Mast Musir which is yogurt with shallots. Worst of all, even if the restaurant says it accepts OpenTable dining credits, the dining credits actually could not be used in the restaurant! Or at least, the staff did not know how to use it. No apologies, no remedies. I was disappointed. For a reference, I dine in at Rumi's Kitchen (Colony Sq/Sandy Spring branch) at least twice a month.

I ordered a simple Bombay martini and one of the specialty cocktails for my wife. The bartender made my martini in a shaker and I remember hearing him asking someone else to stir it for him. For the next ten minutes or more, the bartender proceeded to make drinks for the waiters, I remember him spilling out two drinks and remaking them while my martini continued diluting in the melting Ice. Ten minutes or more later, he pours my martini into more of a champagne coup glass than a martini glass, and I waited another five minutes or more for my wife to get her drink. When I tasted the upmartini, It tasted so diluted, just bad, almost commical to me. I just laughed to myself because i've tended bar for a living and that was about the worst martini i've ever had in my life. Either Rumi is watering down his booze or the ice melted so much that there was barely a gin taste in the glass. I think their gig is rather than give you a real martini level pour they dilute you with so much melted Ice that you think you're getting a full pour martini, when, in fact, what you're getting is half gin and half melted ice. And believe ME, you are charged as though it was a real martini. The place was pretty busy, so a lot of people must not have a clue... or just like busy places. If everybody says, this is such a great place, I guess it's gotta be. Unfortunately, that's just Atlanta-if it's popular everyone just assumes it's good or pretends it is. I don't do well with pretend. Next after being seated at the table, i tried to order wine least expensive wines (so overpriced)-they were out of all of the lower-end overpriced wines I tried to order. It just bugs me to overpay so much for bottles of table wine. They're barely twenty dollars charging, 60-80 for them. But of course, ten minutes after I ordered the wine, this happened twice, the waiter told me they were out of the ones i was trying to order ( everyone must have had the same idea). Oh well. Right before the table was served the main course, the waiter and manager came to tell me that they had run out of the dish I ordered. I ended up replacing it with their duck dish that I had never heard of before but what the hell I'll try it (maybe I deserve it, because I remember my father always told me you never ordered duck in a strange restaurant you don't know) Everyone else at the table of 8 were served their meals ten minutes before my plate arrived. i'm like, please go ahead and start without me. Then, the duck arrives. I mean, if you're such a Rumi's, fan, try the duck and tell me what you think. First of all, it was lukewarm for something that apparently had just been made. The lukewarm duck comes 'in" this purple sauce, I mean, it wasn't even swimming in the purple sauce-It was submerged in the purple sauce. The waiter, of course, later brought me the wrong type of rice than the one i oredered..That's okay they brought me a new one right away. I was really starving at the time, but if I hadn't been, I don't think I would have eaten any of the duck. Being submerged in a kind of a sickening, putple sweet sauce it just wasn't appetizing at all. Challenge: if you're a big Rumi's fan, go ahead and please try the duck, but you have to try it like I did- lukewarm temptation. Then tell me if you remain an unconditionalRumi's fan. The bread is delicious though. To their credit when I tried to order 2 glasses of red wine after my meal was served, they did give us the vin de table for free. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

My girlfriend has a very strict diet due to food sensitivities, so before ordering she specifically asked about the dough, bread, and flours used in the food. Based on that information, she ordered the meal, but later had a reaction to the dough that was used. This was frustrating because the situation likely could have been avoided if we had been given accurate information about the ingredients from the beginning. We completely understand that not every restaurant can accommodate every dietary restriction, but being transparent about what is used in the food allows customers to make informed decisions for themselves. The food itself was good, which is why we're giving 3 stars, but the service on this particular issue left us disappointed. We hope the restaurant can do a better job of providing ingredient information when customers ask, especially for those with dietary restrictions or sensitivities.
