This bowling alley is kind of out of the way since it's right in the SDSU campus, but not much of an issue for me. I had a short walk (5-7 minutes) from the parking lot. Let me complain just a tiny little first, then get into the good stuff. First time coming here we found a Groupon and paid something like $20 for a bunch of time and a couple lanes, it was great. This time we just walked in and at the end of the night it was pretty expensive for the time we were here. That's where my complaining end, the rest is really great. Aztec lanes is super clean, well maintained and a fun atmosphere. I like to take my kids here as I continue to encourage them to go to SDSU!! You can get pizza next door and bring it in, the staff is laid back and helpful. We bowled like crap and still had a great time, the atmosphere makes the bowling seem less serious and its easy to enjoy the time with your friends. It's strange the bowling seems secondary to everything else. I would highly recommend coming here, especially if like me, you have friends and family visiting from the midwest, they will feel right at home in this bowling alley but with a west coast vibe. I love their night bowl! I frequent this place often and can't believe I've never written a review! Place is awesome to hangout with my girlfriends and grab a drink and do some casual bowling fun. I went out bowling with my seven-year-old son and this place was recommended by a friend. I would say these are the best lanes in San Diego! Everything is so clean and well lit. It's perfect for bringing your kids, nothing seedy going on here! Comfy places to lounge and everything worked perfectly! My only suggestion is to really look carefully at how to get there. I wandered around campus for probably 15 minutes and then finally called them and they walked me on over. Google maps has a really hard time finding this place! read more

Bought a groupon to go bowling here. The bowling alley is in the middle of campus so it was a little hard to find at first with the construction going on. But we finally found it and we had a blast. There are only about 10-12 lanes to bowl and there were some pool tables there too. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. If we ever want to go bowling we will come here again. read more

Having an ARC membership, I go here pretty much all the time. It's always clean, the staff is friendly, and bowl for free because of said membership. The best part is that all the equipment is pretty much new and very well maintained. Literally no downside I can think of, but I can imagine it being a pain for a visitor to walk all the way from a parking lot/structure to get there. I work for a local group home and brought a group of 25 students here. Though some of our drivers had difficulty finding the correct parking area and were late for our reservation the staff was incredibly accommodating. We had an absolute blast. Great spot for bowling, but be sure to make a reservation! Only downside would be there's no convenient parking being the lanes are on campus, but not terrible. We'd love to come back and bowl more! Also, great options with pool tables and ping pong for those waiting for lanes. read more

Exceptionally well maintained. Super fun and vibes were positive! The lanes are definitely taken care of here and the staff are very helpful. Prices are good too. Took a little while to figure out parking and where to go but it was well worth it. Only down side is they don't allow alcohol in there!!! :/ I understand it's on campus but cmon alcohol is served next door. Would come a lot more if we could drink and bowl. read more

We got introduced to Aztec lanes when one of my son's friends had a birthday party there. This place is very new, state of the art, clean, and nonsmoking facility. We have been there 4 times in the past 2 months. They participate in KidsBolwFree in summer and occasionally do Groupons, that makes the visit even more enjoyable. There is a pizza place next door open on weekdays, and Dominos within walking distance. Parking is offered $1 an hour at PS6, or you can park by the book store or Dominos if you plan on getting pizza later. read more

The new bowling center at the Aztec student Union is wonderful!!! The lanes and gaming equipment are brand new and The best part is bowling for free!! but only if you have an arc membership. My kids and I tried out Aztec Lanes today. It was a hit! It was small but clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. We parked outside of the permit area and strolled onto campus, but I'm pretty sure PS6 offers parking at $1 an hour. read more

Great facility! They have pool tables and table tennis as well for those who don't want to bowl. There are a ton of tv's and projectors to watch current sports games and/or movies. Aztec Lanes is awesome for many reasons: never have a long wait (or any wait) for a lane, the prices are super low, they offer Groupon deals often, it's clean, modern, in working order, and the staff is very nice. Even though it's on campus, it's still family-friendly, with kid-size balls, shoes, and bumpers. There's no food service, but you can bring food in. And for parking, you have to pay or find street parking. You can usually find parking on Montezuma and just walk a few minutes. read more

This was such an amazing experience. The bowling alley was the cleanest and nicest I've seen in my life!!!! And the best part is we came in and one of the employees first stated that the alley had been reserved for a private event and we couldn't bowl, BUT I just explained to him that my son who is Autistic had an ABA therapist to meet us there so we could take him bowling for his first time. The employees was extremely nice and respectful and said to hold on and he would ask his manager what they could do to try to help us out. The manager then came to greet us himself and said he would love to open a lane for us until the party came and we could stay as long as we needed. He came over to talk with us about his personal experience with a friend he knew who's son is also Autistic. He wanted to know our sons' story. He made us feel completely at ease and welcome and just loved our boys. He even turned down the music playing bc my oldest who is also Autistic was covering his ears and crying. They turned down the music for him and he was A okay again! Such a wonderful staff and pleasant experience overall! We can't wait to bring our littles back every week for the free bowling program they have for children read more

Nicest bowling alley I've ever been to! Small, very clean, nice atmosphere. Didn't care for the MTV-like music videos on the big screens after 8pm - especially not for young kids. But it is on a college campus so I can't really hold that against them - just wasn't my cup of tea. I'll stick to prior to 8pm if going with young kids. read more
