This is my favorite of their locations. There is always plenty of parking. The people working are really friendly. Service is always attentive. We always get our order in and the food arrives quickly. Inside is nice and clean. The decor is the same as your typical Mexican restaurant in the area. I have also ordered for pickup a lot. I have been going to Azteca for decades all over the state, and am very familiar with this Mukilteo location, figured I'd finally speak my praises! 5pm on a Friday, no wait to be seated. Customary chips and salsa served right away and server asking for drinks not far behind. I wanted the fresh base of a skinny margarita but the tanteo jalepeno infused tequila of the spicy margarita. They made it happen and it will now be my go-to marg at Azteca! The taco autenticos with steak came up super quickly. The server brought out this amazing green salsa spicy sauce and it deliciously complimented the tacos. I did need to add a generous amount to feel any heat but it was a latent and creeper kind of heat. As always, friendly and expedient service, checked on by the manager and several servers. Tonight I ordered a La Bandera Ensalada Garden salad generously topped with choice of fajitas. Finished with mushrooms, tomatoes, avocados and cheese. Options include Chicken, Steak or Shrimp. Steak or Shrimp $16.75 It was strictly a romaine leaf from a stalk that was strategically buried under hand shredded steak. 1/4 sliced avocado in one corner, fresh mushrooms, slightly surprised they weren't sauteed, shredded cheese in another, and diced tomatoes in the last corner. Blackberry Margarita is a concoction of CASAMIGOS BLANCO TEQUILA, PATRÓN CITRÓNGE ORANGE, FRESH LIME JUICE, BLACKBERRIES AND AGAVE NECTAR. I enjoyed the thinly sliced well seasoned charbroiled Carne asada y mas garnished with jalepeno pepper and guacamole.with a beef enchilada ..the rice was firm and fluffy no beans but the meal does come with. My friend had the tres amigos, chili Colorado, Chile verde, and chili relleno with a side of warm white corn tortillas as requested and Mexican rice although you can get white rice, and black beans although you do have the option to order refried beans or Rancho beans. Of course there's always room for dessert usually I eat dessert before dinner but I decided to try the Churros, for those of you who do not know what churros are, they are a popular Mexican dessert somewhat of a donut stick freshly fried dipped in cinnamon and sugar served with a DOT of whipped cream , or you can always go with the deep fried ice cream which is what I usually get but the churros were pretty good!! My husband and I go to Azteca a couple of times a month and are always pleased with the food and service. The manager is usually walking around, checking to make sure customers are happy - he is a very nice guy who obviously enjoys his work. He even remembers what we like to order! We order a decent amount of takeout and delivery from this Azteca location. One of my favorites is the enchiladas crema dish. My partner will sometimes order regular enchiladas or tamales. The enchiladas are typically consistently good, I go with chicken or cheese. The tamales are sometimes hit and miss. On an occasion the meat in the tamale seemed old and not edible, so we try to stick with enchiladas mostly. When dinning in I like the Pollo fundido dish, it's more expensive than enchiladas and doesn't hold up well for takeout, but is delicious when dining in. I find when ordering takeout online that no matter what, utensils are not included despite choosing the option on Uber eats to include utensils. The one time I ordered a Mexican coke via Uber Eats delivery, the restaurant didn't include the drink. I was able to get the item refunded through the app for that, but it's disappointing. I also enjoy their cheese dip appetizer, but the price has risen too high for me to justify it with my orders. Overall, I will continue to give this restaurant support as long as I'm living nearby so long as the enchiladas continue to be consistent. Moved here from Cali after most of our lives in Texas. Wasn't expecting decent Mexican food from a chain in Washington state, but that is what we got. Chips and salsa are good. Refried beans on point, and the bar work is ok. Have to admit I have had better margaritas, but these are doable. Crunchy tacos, fajitas and enchiladas all good. Friendly fast service found out those five stars. Note to bartender: make a $7 margarita with well tequila and a shot of Grand Mariner served on the side. I don't want a fish bowl, just a highball glass full of ice, shot of well tequila and lime and orange juice. Food was okay, the fajitas tasted a little dry and what you get for what you pay for cheese dip was disappointing, but I could chalk that up to just the cause of takeout. That was until we took a bite of the churros and realized it was SALT not sugar used. This is not a "oh maybe they just added salt on the churros" it was nothing but brown sugar and salt coating them all. Such a gross bite. Will not order from here again. read more

Never been on the other side of the restaurant. Anyways, service is always 10/10 even when they're busy. The staff treats you as an old friend, always happy to see you again. This is one of my favorite Azteca locations because of the staff. There is almost always a large jovial man (I'm assuming the manager and/or owner) walking around the restaurant smiling and greeting customers, which charms me every time and the waitstaff is normally very attentive. I had dinner at Azteca on Wednesday night around 5:30pm. It was hands-down the worst Mexican food I've ever had at any Azteca location. The complementary tortilla chips that were brought out were burnt and over warmed in their warmer which means they were old. They tasted terrible. The salsa was sweet tasting and I'm not sure if they have added sugar or if it was just old. I ordered a combination dinner and to be honest I could not finish either the chimichanga, which was undercooked and full of grease and I could not finish the enchilada which was dry inside and terrible. There are much better places to eat and I recommend that you do not waste your money or your time at Azteca. I even overheard other customers say their drinks (strawberry margaritas) were bad and weak. read more

I've ordered from this restaurant twice on DoorDash and both times they totally messed up the order. First time I asked for no mushrooms in my Pollo a la Crema and got no vegetables at all, it's hard to enjoy plain chicken and cream with no peppers at least to add texture. Plus they forgot my tortillas so I was left disappointed with my plain chicken meal. Second time my husband ordered a Chimichanga and chalupa combination both chicken and he received no chalupa and two chimichangas both with shredded beef. He's not a fan of Mexican style shredded beef so they ended up getting thrown away wasted. The positives is the rice and beans were good. Definitely not worth the price to have messed up meals, Mexican restaurants tend to not be cheap, can run you $15-20 dollars per plate. It sucks to be disappointed as Azteca was my favorite Mexican restaurant as a kid and loved the one they used to have by Everett mall, (RIP). The one in Mill Creek seems better though. read more

I have contact this location to order 6 tacos before even I go to the restaurant and the receptionist told me it will not take more than 10 minutes. When I get their I paid for the food and waiting for hours. After 50 minutes I asked them to cancel my order and refund me but they refuse and didn't even apologize for their customers for waiting more than what they said and I am really disappointed the way they treat me and the way they respond to me. It took another 10 minutes to get my food. So totally they took more than 1 hour to do 6 chicken tacos. So, think twice before you go to this place. Food wise it's so good. Service wise, the worst ever. Will not recommend to anyone. read more
