I just got out of the spa and I feel fantastic! I didn't have any idea I was going to get a massage today but my husband surprised me and took me to Azulene. This was our first time and we were just planning on making an appointment for another day but they were able to take me in right away. I ended up getting a hot stone massage from Liz and it was absolutely wonderful! I was a little hesitant having never had a hot stone massage before but it felt amazing and was so relaxing. I went here after getting a recommendation from someone on Facebook. Super busy on a Sunday with a LOT of people working. I wanted to get my nails done since the last technician did such a terrible job all the nails on my left hand came off. Anyway my nail tech was Andy and he did an amazing job. I love my nails I'm definitely returning and checking out the other services they offer. I'm thinking of a vip pedicure, a facial and massage they're a little pricey but worth it. Just moved to town and was looking for a place just like this. Sadly, I'll not try any other services. Worst nails ever! Thick, messy, doesn't cover the whole nail, not painted all the way, pieces of acrylic under nails that I had to remove and pieces chipping off of nails. I ask to see a manager and have called twice. They are never in. Ask for assistant manager and was told they don't have one! Really? In a place this big? No one has ever ask if they could call me back! Terrible customer service read more

Don't be fooled by the appearance of this place it might look like a nice calm setting to unwind and relax yourself from everyday problems but BEWARE!! The customer service does NOT match it's appearance. Peter was my nail tech at first he seemed cheerful until I decided to Choose a lower price option for the service he provided; that's when his attitude changed forcing me to pay immediately as if I was going run out of the salon once my nails was done. Of course I was offended but I remained to hold my composure. Peter excuse was due to COVID-19 we aren't using the dryers on customers. Mind you if I would've gotten the gel set it would've Been used on my nails. The other nail tech beside us realized Peter attitude was unprofessional & nasty because he apologize to me and said they are just ready to go and it's getting closing time. I'm thinking in my head how is that my problem... It's not like they're not getting paid. I called back on the four day to complain about my nail lifting (the whole set) I'm being told by Mika the manger because I did not call back on the third day they can't honor my nails. I explain to her I've been at work & this was only day I was able to get a hold of them. She told me she would speak with the owners. I called back Thursday & was told she's still waiting for a response from owners. I called back (today) Saturday to see she was given a response. She telling me that the owners won't honor it because I called back on the fourth day and it's not their fault that my nails are lifting. I asked how are they not going to honor it? Then she tells me because the owner Vince say you only got a full-in and maybe your set is old. I advise her that my set is barely a month old. So there's no reason my nails should be looking and feeling like this. I asked her when do you need to get a new set she told me 2 to 3 months. The best Vince could offer is soak my nails off for free; (usually a five dollar charge for soak off) That's only if I get a full set. Like how is that helping me & why would I want to give this place anymore of money?! I relocated from D.C. two months ago and was not impressed with some nail places in citrus county. I asked for a regular mani- at $20, it was a bargain. I appreciated that I didn't need an appointment and liked the ambiance. My nail tech, Kevin, was really nice and I have to say almost one week later my mani is almost intact. Really friendly staff, such calm, clean space. It was worth the money. Just for their environment I would go for a service, even if I don't need one. I always enjoy my visit there. Their variety in mani and Pedi are to die for. One of my most favorite staff member from there is Martha. She does an excellent job of waxing. Overall a very satisfying visit. read more

very nice place - open on Sundays a plus but you better get there early they get busy quick. Very nice staff & the place is clean. The young lady did a good job - I had the works, mani/pedi and eyebrow wax. They try and upsell you on everything. I just wanted the gel polish, I have natural nails. I choked a little when I got the final bill. It is expensive but then you get what you pay for. Here is the problem........ I went to pay and was told I could not put the tip on the bill and my card!!! REALLY? Cash only tips. Oh they do have an off brand ATM machine in the place, of course you will get charged for using it on both ends. I left and went up the street to my banks ATM. I am sure I burned less gas then the fee that would have been charged. If your that upscale then you should do tips on a card or at least post large signs saying cash tips only! read more

I was very happy with my pedicure, but not so much when I went to pay with gift cards. I had a balance on one card but was informed I must have used it up even though I had the receipt with said balance. I will go back to use up my gift cards, but informed hubby not to buy anymore. The salon has a very upscale appearance and is very cIean. I have been going there for about six months and made an appointment for 10:00 AM for a gel nail fill. The nail tech I regularly use was on maternity leave, so I said I would take whoever was available, as all the nail techs are very good and professional. I arrived about ten minutes early, and was told someone would be with me shortly. Twenty minutes passed and was told the same thing. By 10:25, I left the salon. If they didn't have enough staff, then I should have been given a different appointment time. They also had my phone number and could have called me to explain the situation. It is a very nice salon and the nail techs are the best, but the I will never waste my time returning, as there are many choices in Ocala. read more

I was here from out of town and went to get a Brazilian bikini wax before I went home - the waxer ripped a 1.5 inch laceration in my labia and didn't even tell me! I got home and saw all the blood. All she said was, "I'm sorry I hurt you," and charged me full price. I am so upset about this experience. I will never go back. read more

Never never never get your nails done here I paid 55 for a full set gel and within 3 days the started lifting and popping off my tech was Phil his hands were sweating the entire time he was very rough. I visited Azulene yesterday for a pedicure. Although the pedicure treatment was great and the technician very caring, she apparently failed to remove all the paraffin treatment from 2 of my nails. When I got home, I discovered the polish just rolled off of my pinkie and nail next to it. Called to see if I could receive a credit since I was 25 minutes away, I was told all they would do was redo the nails if I returned. I have used Azulene Day Spa for several services. First for the positives. Salon...Five Stars as I have gotten a great cut and color every time I have gone in. Massage...Five Stars as the masseuses are fabulous. Now for the negatives. Pedicures...One Star. My technician was too aggressive when cutting back my toe nails. He went down the sides of my big toe nails and pulled/cut the nail out and i was bleeding! Not only did that hurt, but 10 days later I had ingrown toenails on both large toes. They were so painful that it actually hurt to walk. I actually contemplated going to a physician, but after several days of soaking them in Epsom salts, I was able to dig them out myself. Waxing Services...One Star. I had my eyebrows, upper/lower lip, chin and face waxed. I asked my technician if she could wax my nose hairs. I've had it done several times at other salons with no issues. This time, my nose was burning afterwards. I figured it would feel better by the time I drove home, however, it became worse!!! By morning, the inside of my nose had blistered and was a painful, oozing mess. I called Azulene and asked to talk to a manager. I was told there were none available to speak to me. I told the receptionist what had happened and left my name and number. Nobody called me back. You would think that would warrant a follow up call. For that reason, I am giving them a ONE Star Rating. read more

Good experience and would highly recommend! Very professional and on time. I had to do the short pedi because of a time crunch and they were ready and waiting for me. Varying levels of expertise, so beware who you choose for nail service. Had a horribly sloppy gel manicure on 7/5. All they would offer was a discount on the service. Desk personnel would barely make eye contact with me; their only comment was "that's a pretty color". Paid, tipped the tech and went immediately to another salon to get the color off and re-done. It's comical, really, I'm new to the area and had let my hair grow to allow for over zealous hairdresser. I chose Azulene Day Spa because of the upscale appearance and area. Salon is beautiful, serene. I met Robin and carefully, redundantly described I did NOT want inverted A-line (that seems to be the only style taught now!) and specifically did NOT want a shorter back, but a few layers would work. Well, I began to realize too what was happening but there was no going back after part of the back fell off! It's a style that's ridiculous for me and exactly what I specified NO! Overpriced. Sub-par pedicure. Fastest pedicure I've ever had for $40. Staff wasn't super friendly. Also, their service menu says that drinks are complimentary with any spa service....wrong.
