Azumi was the most memorable and special way to celebrate my birthday. I have been craving Hibachi and knew it would satisfy the itch. My family admittedly does love a luxe experience, especially for a birthday, and this was no different. From the branzino, to the gyoza, to the actual hibachi, the whole experience was worth it. I only wish the wine selection was better, but I will say the whole night and meal was perfect. Service was great, although it was a long night. The hibachi "flame rooms" are secluded, which was so nice for our group and the evening. However, the whole restaurant is beautiful, I need to go sit in the dining room soon. I know I will love anything I order!

Loved all the food! I thought everything was seasoned perfectly. Their shrimp appetizer is a must-have. And their grilled chicken and their rolls you can't go wrong with. My partner and I enjoyed the venue as well. Its in baltimore harbor, one of the newer developments in the boardwalk. Parking is a 5-10 min walk and is not bad. No complaints about the service. Will visit again for sure.

Azumi was the perfect pre-show dinner spot before heading to see Dave Chappelle at CFG Arena. We grabbed seats at the sushi bar and had a great experience from start to finish. For drinks, I ordered an espresso martini with tequila. Our server suggested adding Baileys to the first one, and while I gave it a try, it quickly reminded me that I am firmly Team No Baileys in my espresso martinis. Thankfully, the second one was exactly how I like it. For food, we started with the house salad, yellowtail roll, and crispy rice with tuna. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For our entrée, I had my heart set on the miso black cod, but my dining companion is a devoted branzino fan. After talking through both dishes with our server, he strongly recommended the branzino. I'll never admit this to him directly, but the server may have been right. The fish was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. One small thing to note is that we had to ask for soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger after our sushi arrived. This seems to be becoming more common at restaurants these days, and I'm guessing it's an effort to reduce waste, which I can appreciate. It wasn't a big deal at all, but if you're a sushi traditionalist like me, don't be surprised if you need to request the full set of accompaniments. One thing that really stood out was the service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and honest when we asked about menu items. We mentioned that we were running a bit behind for our show, and he made sure our food came out quickly without making us feel rushed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is stylish and upscale, though a bit smaller than some of the other waterfront restaurants nearby. There's a nice bar area, sushi bar seating, and a lively atmosphere without feeling overwhelming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also offer valet parking. We initially assumed it was only for The Ruxton next door since that's where it was stationed, but our server later let us know it's available for Azumi guests as well. Good information for next time! Pricing felt appropriate for a waterfront sushi and seafood restaurant in Harbor East. The portions matched the price point, and we left satisfied without feeling like we overpaid. Overall, Azumi delivered great food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere. While Baltimore has plenty of great dining options, I'd happily return if I'm back in the area and not in the mood to try somewhere new.

Had the most incredible birthday dinner here. They are so attentive with allergies and do a wonderful birthday celebration. All of the sushi was fresh and delicious (as was my mocktail) and the service was wonderful.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was a bit dark inside so we opted to sit outside which is a lot nicer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the spicy rock shrimp, sautéed mushrooms, spider roll, crunchy tuna toro roll, premium California roll, & chicken thigh appetizer. I think my favorites were probably just the rock shrimp & spider roll despite the first one being a bit too salty. The others were just ok to me. Everything was either too salty or too bland. The mushrooms had way too much butter and it didn't really taste like anything besides that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not sure if I'd go again but it was nice to be by the water.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I enjoyed this place. Me and my girlfriend come here for special occasions because sushi is her favorite food. I'm more of a steak guy so that's why I'm only giving it four stars. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is great and it's a good place to go for special occasion[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] but it's not my number one pick. I don't even think it's a top 3 Sushi place in Baltimore

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Sushi here is top tier and so is the ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I stopped in on a busy weekday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My friend and I ordered everything from the tuna tartare, chirashi bowl, Toyosu nigiri platter, seared otoro and the matchamisu dessert. This was plenty of food for 2 people. We loved the quality of fish and presentation here. The otoro cuts were definitely the highlight of the evening. Seared otoro tuna with endless amounts of shaved truffle on top. Definitely save some room for dessert as the matchamisu was a take on the tiramisu. The mascarpone, mango and matcha were a great combination. The service here was great. Our servers were attentive and we enjoyed the variety of seafood, Asian fusion and even saw some hibachi items. Azumi is a great place to enjoy some cocktails, sushi or hibachi. I highly recommend booking reservations in advance. The bartender did let me know they have sushi making classes and tuna carving sessions throughout the month. I'll definitely be back to try some different cuts of fish and their sushi rolls.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Went on a Friday, so the crowd was expected![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We made a reservation and were seated right away. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Everything we ordered in the picture was really good -- fresh, flavorful, and not fishy at all. It's definitely on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it for the quality and experience.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat at the flame room and can definitely say that the service, ambiance and food were great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food: in the flame room you had the options to order from the main room but were required to select an entree from the flame - we opted for the land and sea option for 2 ($130) and went with the scallops and lamb chops. Both were cooked to absolute perfection. - the meal comes with 3 sauces: garlic, yum yum and a hot chili. Each paired well with the meal. - sides: seaweed salad, miso tofo soup and dessert. Drinks: super unique cocktails. I got a clarified milk punch cocktail which was our favorite. Their sake options are also really good and would highly recommend asking the staff for their favorites.

Nice surprise. We drove from VA to try a new place, so glad we did. All of our food items were delicious. Forgot to take a picture of our extreme sushi platter. It had sparkle stick so very grand entrance to our table. Each piece was just melted in your mouth. Waitress was very friendly and explained our dishes. Servers were very attentive as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant was pretty busy for a cold evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since it was so cold, we could feel the wind come in from our table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would we go back, YES. Food and service was worth the drive.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We stopped by for lunch and loved the location near the Inner Harbor with a beautiful waterfront view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is nicely decorated with a classy, modern vibe[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and the service was great; the staff was attentive and friendly. We ordered the miso soup, Wagyu fried rice, and the Azumi Royal Platter. The miso soup was a bit on the salty side, and the fried rice was slightly bland, though it seems it's meant to be mixed with the hot sauce, which helped. The sushi platter was beautifully presented, and the fish was fresh and good, but the flavors didn't really stand out. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but the food didn't quite wow us. We may have had better luck ordering different items from the menu. For the price point ($280), we're not sure it was worth it.

This place was a hop skip and a jump from the hotel I was staying at. I enjoyed the sushi. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a very vibey and moody spot. Think a great place for a date, an intimate dinner or a birthday kinda spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was on the high end of the price range. The kinda spot where you gotta buy multiple bites to feel full and then you kinda look at the bill like wait...what did I spend it all on. Not knocking the quality but I believe me and my mama got 1 cocktail each, we both had miso soup. I had sushi and I forgot what she had and the bill was like $100 something plus. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute spot. Nice vibes but a little pricey for a quick bite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Azumi in Harbor East has officially become one of my favorite spots in Baltimore -- and the cocktails are a huge reason why. The moment you sit down, you can tell the bar program is taken seriously. Every drink feels intentional, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. I tried a few cocktails during my visit, and each one had its own personality. The flavors were fresh and layered, not overly sweet, and you could tell the ingredients were high-quality. I especially loved the Japanese-inspired twists -- touches of yuzu, ginger, and unique spirits that you don't find everywhere. It's the kind of place where you actually look forward to trying something new instead of sticking to your usual. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance also adds to the experience. With the waterfront views, sleek décor, and upbeat but not overwhelming energy, it's easy to settle in and enjoy a drink (or two).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartenders were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly proud of their craft -- they made great recommendations and genuinely seemed to enjoy creating each cocktail. Whether you're grabbing a drink before dinner or making cocktails the main event, Azumi delivers. Perfect for date nights, celebrations, or any time you want to treat yourself to something a little elevated.

    Is there a kids menu?

No kids menu, but there were plenty of families with kids being served. Restaurant is very loud, so I don’t even think a crying baby would bother anyone.

I had the lychee Saketini (HH $8), and it definitely had lychee flavor. It was a little lighter on the alcohol though. I also had a 22 oz. can of Sapporo premium beer, which was also on happy hour for $7.50. Both the bagel roll and California roll were $6 on happy hour as well. I highly recommend the Volcano Roll (HH $12), which had 6 pieces of salmon and tuna top with a spicy mayo and eel sauce. We initially sat outside, but once it started raining, they helped us bring everything inside. The hostess was very kind and our server was excellent. In terms of the ambiance, there is not much indoor and outdoor seating. It seems like they mainly do take out. Also, street parking can be limited.

However, I was extremely disappointed with my order. First of all, I ordered 2 speciality entrees (Rocky's Choice and Benihana Delight). Both should have come with both soup and salad, however, only 1 soup was included in my delivery. Furthermore, the soup we were given was miso soup and not Benihana Onion soup. Neither myself or my husband enjoy miso soup so we did not eat the soup we were given. Both entrees came with chicken fried rice even though they were ordered with white rice. I understand the fried rice is an upgrade and may be considered 'better' but I very much prefer the white rice and was disappointed with this substitution. Furthermore, the fried rice was undercooked. The vegetables were extremely crunchy and the rice was dry. Finally, we had ordered several sauces and paid for these sauces. I had ordered 2 ginger sauces, 2 mustard sauces, and 1 yum yum sauce. When our ordered arrived we were only given 1 sauce (1 yum yum) and not the total of 5 that were ordered and paid for. Overall, my order was nothing like I expected it to be after eating at Benihana for over 20 years. The food was dry and missing several components that were ordered. This disappointment was compounded by the fact that since we ordered 2 speciality entrees the total was over $100 (not including delivery fees). For this price point, nothing should be missing and the food should be prepared as expected. The delivery option is the same price as dine-in which is absurd seeming as when you dine in person the food is fresher and you are also provided entertainment. If you are only serving take-out and delivery for Benihana and charging the same as dine-in the food must be top notch. I was okay paying the same as dine-in until my food was delivered and did not meet the bare minimum standards. I understand that Benihana-Baltimore food is prepared by RA Sushi and not a typical Benihana location. The chicken breast in it was very tender, and the baby boy Choi did not really seem to complement the soup. Also, I ordered a shrimp egg roll, yup, you guessed, right. It was all cabbage and 1 shrimp, only 1 of the tiniest shrimp I've ever seen and very greasy. It was disappointing. My husband ordered the shrimp and chicken on fried rice ( the man working there said this is their most popular dish). What arrived was only shrimp on the fried rice and no chicken. The only reason this isnt 1 star review is because the food was ok. We were visiting on a weekend at 12:30. We weren't at a hibachi table. My husband asked for a gin and tonic. But there is no tonic water and our server couldn't offer any alternatives. Their beers were all flavorless pilsners or light beers. The plates are an interesting mix of heavy and large or flimsy and plastic. It made the meal strangely awkward. The food arrived and my husband asked for normal sodium soy sauce. We were told that all the green soy sauce bottles are filled with normal soy sauce. So they are either lying to us about everything being normal. Or they're lying to everyone else and refilling bottles that say low sodium with normal soy sauce. The server was below average and didn't clear anything from the awkward table. She was trying but was just not very good. There is a mandatory 18% gratuity that I asked to change given the service. I wouldn't normally punish a server for the restaurant's short comings but she was bad at her job. I was told their payment system couldn't do this. I asked to speak to a manager.
