We came here for a late lunch, so we were lucky that there was a parking spot opened up right in the plaza. I can not imagine how difficult parking would be during the busy time! I assume you will need to find street parking. Although the plaza is small, the restaurant is big! It has many tables inside, including larger areas for groups. We went in and saw a family having dinner together. That really gave the restaurant a warm family vibe. You can see in the decorations that they have earned many recognitions and had even been on Guy's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives show! What an amazing place! We started the lunch with a nice mint lemonade! OMG! I highly recommend this! I would go back just for this, so refreshing and perfect way to be primed for a great meal. We had three items, Soujouk Flat Bread, Baba Ghannouj, and Ouzi Lamb. The portion is large! We could not finish and had to take to-go for two of us. I love their baba ghannouj! Very authentic and come with the bread. The serve was smiling when I asked whether it came with the bread. He eventually also told us that we should open the bread like a pita and put baba ghannouj in there. I appreciate the guidance on how to enjoy the food. I also loved soujouk flat bread. So delicious! The highly recommended ouzi lamb lived up to the expectation and it's very delicious. Overall, I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. We will come back for sure because they have so many good delicious food on the menu that we need to try!

I love the floral and pistachio taste, and it doesn't leave you feeling heavy afterwards. The mint lemonade is also a must have- tastes like it came from the garden in the best way possible. For savories, I had the spinach and cheese bajeen, baba gannouj, and the lamb fatteh - all had a lot of flavor and tasted homemade. I love trying new foods so will have to come back with more friends and try other things on the menu. The downside of this place was being seated on the right side of the restaurant near the carry out section. This was the pit of despair. I noticed that most of the staff goes to the other end first, and as a result 4 tables got seated after us and all of them had food on their table before we managed to flag one of the staff. It was definitely busy in there but he replied that he was simply going in order, but apparently order or left side to right side instead of arrival. I recommend trying to get seated on the side w the stained glass windows for better service. Other than that, the experience overall was pleasant.

It was pretty impressive. I ordered the chicken salad, baba ghanouj, and my wife got the chicken shawarma plate. The baba ghanouj was pretty good. It had a nice smokiness to it. My only complaint is it came with one tiny pita for a full bowl of baba ghanouj. The pita was very lackluster and had no flavor at all. I'm not sure if it was store bought or made in house, but it was super dry and lacked any flavor at all. The chicken salad was delicious. The chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly. The dressing was bright and acidic with a wonderful flavor. I added feta to the salad which seems a bit pricey (1.99) but it was needed in my opinion and belongs on a med salad like that. It should be included if you ask me. My wife's chicken shawarma plate was delicious looking as well. She opted not to share with me so I cannot say how it tasted, but she enjoyed it she said. It came with a garlic yogurt sauce that was flavor and very garlicky. Overall the food was great. The prices were on the high side for what it is. It was $50 for food the two of us after tip and no drinks. There really isn't an atmosphere it's a no frills place with tables and chairs and no AC on the inside so it was hot. Luckily the evening was cool, so we sat outside. I don't know if I would go back, but I enjoyed the food.

The owner/manager was incredibly kind, gentle, and welcoming, which honestly made me want to like the place even more. Hence the 3 stars The menu was a little confusing, and I ended up ordering a falafel wrap with a side of tabbouleh. I believe my total was around $36-$37. The wrap itself was mostly hummus and pickled vegetables, and unfortunately the whole thing just had a very soft, mushy texture. But the biggest issue for me was the falafel. It was very, very dense -- almost a Play-Doh-like texture. I've never had falafel quite like that. Maybe it's a particular style or preparation, but it just didn't work for me. The tabbouleh had really nice flavor, but it didn't taste as fresh as I was hoping for. That said, I saw a couple of other tables with what looked like flatbread pizzas topped with za'atar, along with some tabbouleh, and those actually looked really good. Good enough that I might give this place another try and order something different. I really hope I do, because the person running the place was genuinely lovely, and I'd love to be able to support a small local business like this. For me, this visit was unfortunately a miss -- but I'm not writing the place off just yet. Sometimes you simply order the wrong thing.

It felt very fancy and was one of the most exotic things I have eaten in a long time. We also got the dolmas (grapes leaves) and the Bolani (turnover stuffed with leek and potatoes) as an appetizer. The dolmas were ok, but the bolani was exceptional, like a leek and potato quesadilla but lighter. It was hard to put into words. Just order it and enjoy! Lastly, for drinks we got a Cherry Blossom Tea (Sheer Chai). Again, it tasted like nothing I have ever ordered before, which is hard to do because we are adventurous eaters. It tasted like cream straight from the cow mixed with a cherry blossom-y and strawberry-ish Chai flavor+ black tea flavor. One of the best drinks that I have experienced in 2025 by far. For the La Jolla neighborhood and how fancy the inside feels, the prices were similar to any regular sit down restaurant. Quite the bargain for the bouquet of flavors and beautifully executed dishes that we had. I would definitely recommend them.

It was a shame that I was visiting and couldn't take back leftovers but the beef shawarma was easily 2 meals. My only minor complaint is that at $25-$30 the price was not Texas-priced, but it's California so I came in with Californian expectations. All in all, nice family owned Lebanese restaurant.
