EXPENSIVE & LATE!!!!!! Didn't really expect to pay $225 for a total of 5 locks (1 set being new knobs, and rest rekey) and 3 sets of keys. They charged me $45 just to be there. I had him go to El Monte, which I don't think is that far from Alhambra. Seems so expensive and it looks like I could have gone to Home Depot to do the work he did myself for a lot less. The technician, Paul, called 15 minutes before arriving. He was 10 minutes late, but I didn't mind. He was very thorough in looking at each door, door knob, and the lock, using WD-40 on everything, and making sure the door closed appropriately, even though I had only called attention to the 3 loose door knobs I needed serviced. He tried to be careful to keep the floors clean. He had no new parts to offer, but that was to be expected of a home service. He instructed me what to do if I did buy new parts. So buy the new parts before your appointment if you can. It came out to $50 for the service charge and $60 for labor. To sum it up, very professional service. read more

This place rocks! They are great at duplicating keys and rekeying locks and deadbolts. I have never had a key cut here that didn't work perfectly. In the past, I used to have keys cut at Home Depot or though one of those serve yourself kiosks. But I quickly found that many times, the keys didn't work smoothly, or sometimes, didn't work at all. B & B Lock and Security know what they are talking about. I removed the locking mechanism from the sliding doors as the lever wasn't working to lock the doors and he took care of me right away. The lock I grabbed off the wall seemed to be the right one but he took a look and corrected me. Coudn't ask for better service. Paul was professional, prompt and courteous. He drove one over to help us in Pasadena. We needed to gain entry into a storage area but had lost the keys for the deadbolt. Unfortunately, it was a Schlage and are more difficult to pick. He had to drill it out. Ah well, it couldn't be helped. For another $15 he was going to replace it, a good price, but we don't need it locked up anyhow. I had my sectional garage door replaced a few months ago. I went there in the morning and my new garage door was completely replaced as well as the springs. They also replaced the rails with new ones which I didn't expect. They did an excellent job and would recommend them to anyone needing a new garage door. I was really impressed with the quality of the installation. The old one I had was wood, which had a lot of water damage and also termite damage. This new aluminum one is awesome. Light and Sturdy! My friend recommended this place to me and they are heaven-sent! I went there this morning and I couldn't be happier with the service. If I could give it more stars I would! I have been having trouble with the locks on the driver and passenger door of my car for probably at least half a year now. The previous key one day started to only open the driver door but not the passenger. Eventually that key became worn out and my 2nd key , ironically, only opened the passenger door but not driver door. It has been embarassing to have to open my door on the passenger side for the last few months, especially when someone was waiting for my spot. They had to be wondering what the hell is she doing? It turned for the worse when starting a week ago, my 2nd key started to not work on the passenger side either. At worst, it took about 10 tries to open the door and then the key would get stuck when trying to pull it out. Whenever I thought of having to replace the locks on both doors, I imagined dollar bills piling high into the sky, which is why I put it off until I had no choice. So....I get to this lock place, which is huge and very clean...almost made me want to drop a Skittle on the floor and eat it! They asked me what the problem was as soon as I walked in. Didn't have to ring a bell or take a number...already a good sign. The guy came out, tried the keys on my doors and trunk, sprayed some WD 40, wiggled some silver stick in my driver door lock and amazingly, was able to open and lock both doors MOST of the time. Perhaps the silver stick was a magic auto wand? He said the problem was not bad, that it was the keys and not the locks, went inside and made me a new key for the price of a large frie. I tried the new key and it opened ALL my doors without hesitation. It was also better quality than the cars original key! Total time, I was there and gone within 5 minutes. They are very honest (a rare find when it comes to anything auto!), don't inflate prices and if something is not necessary, they will tell you that you don't need it even if you ask for it to be done. These guys are a great local company that does professional work. I use them for all our businesses lock/key needs. I occasionally need high-security Medeco lock keys made- they are very different from regular keys in that the grooves are cut at an angle to the blank requiring special blanks and equipment to do it. They cut them without a hitch- never a spare that doesn't work. Also when they cut a copy of a house key, car key, etc, they always work the first time- Home Depot may be a few quarters cheaper but if I have to go back because the "key cutter of the day" has no clue it's not worth my time. They also do safes, garage doors, car remotes and those new transponder keys for far less than the dealer. Every time our company needs something lock related it's a trip to B & B. Note: They have a $20 minimum on credit card charges- something not out of the ordinary in today's fee-driven world and the owners are chinese- don't confuse their moderate English speaking skills as a lack of knowledge because they definitely know the business inside and out! read more

I have worked with these folks for the last few years since we've moved in and out of a few homes. They're always fast and the customer service has been outstanding. I have been meaning to write them a review but of course life gets busy and i've put it off until today when we couldn't get our key into the front door of our business. Luckily we have a back door so we were able to get in through a different entry. I called with the intention to have someone come by to service our lock. I explained the situation to the lady on the phone that we weren't able to stick our key into the lock but it locks perfectly from the inside. She said it's $45 to get someone to our business to diagnose the situation but it sounds like our lock just needs some grease. She told me to try it first and if it didn't work, she'd send someone out. Sure enough, with a little WD-40, our key was in and back in business! Thank you again for all your help! :) read more

brought two key blades, one home & one auto, in to be cut. an older man first came to help me and seemed to not like the type of key blades i brought in, which are for a keyport system, because they are a newer thing and so he wasn't fond of cutting those key blanks. a younger guy came out and knew what they were and he seemed okay with them. they told me $8 for both key blade blanks to be cut, confirmed with my husband, said it was normal, so $8 cash it was. keys were done in about 3 minutes and seem to match well with the originals, just need to test them out now. overall, decent if you don't care whether they're friendly or not. read more

I have a box that I locked with a padlock and have recently lost my keys and I have quite important stuff inside that box. I stopped by B&B to see if they could help me unlock the padlock. When I first showed them the box, the lady there said I could cut up the box and get a new box, in which my heart immediately sank because I don't currently have any tool to do that (and I already thought about it), and the box is rather cute. Even though she said that, she still took a look at the padlock and went to get her tools. She first told me that it would be $5 and started working on it.
