I called over to ten companies today and sent out another eight requests on yelp. B&B was the first company to call me back. They gave a quote that was much less than the others I was quoted out this week at $275 for a mouse issue. Even though they are on the north shore and 45 minutes away they said they would try to get down to the south shore in Weymouth and he clearly communicated that it would take longer to get down here than if we were local. I booked a week in advance and even though I need to cancel to get somebody here sooner, I wanted to thank them for answering phones, calling me back, being open and honest, giving a good quote and being courteous. I just recently renovated my basement apartment. New bathroom, kitchen, new floors...the works! Had a pretty bad carpenter ant problem for nearly a year. Even after I hired another pest control company that I won't mention the name of. I called that company back and told them that the problem still existed, but since it had been over 90 days or whatever their policy was, I would have to pay full price for a new treatment which I was not about to do since first one made no difference at all. Anyway I looked on line and saw B&B had really good reviews so I figured I would give them a shot. Made an appointment by phone, the woman I spoke with was very professional and nice which doesn't sound like a big deal but it's a great first impression of a business. I live in downtown Boston, and the city has been cleaning and flushing the sewer system street by street causing me to encounter a rodent in my basement. I spoke to John, and he secured me an appointment within 2 days. The technician Rick was extremely pleasant and explained what the problem was. He located and plugged the entrance hole and laid traps, as well as plugged a hole under the bathroom sink. I have had Terminix for almost a decade and pointed out this infestation and to my HUGE disappointment, they not only tried to charge me more $ than my usual maintenance charge, but they also failed largely to contain/manage the infestation. I was very alarmed after going to the basement to do laundry and seeing bees swarming everywhere, so I immediately called B&B because I have seen friends liking their business page on Facebook. B&B ended up being a great choice. The person who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful, and they were able to send someone out to Saugus that day. The young man that came in to exterminate the bees was excellent, even locating another nest under the front stairs that we were completely unaware of. He took the time to explain several things about the bees and future prevention, as well as assure me that they would be able to help if we continued to have problems. We have not had to call them back, so he did a great job getting rid of them. I thought the price was very reasonable as well.
