I used these guys through AAA. Our driver was great, a very friendly guy and very skillful with the truck and handling the car. It did take 1.5 hours for him to get there, and the original estimate was 40 minutes. But it was during lunchtime so I understand that. I did my YELP study before calling for a personal tow. I decided on B&B due to the YELP coupon they were offering (100$ worth of tow for the price of 75$) I called to ask about the YELP coupon, and no body in the office knew anything about it! Oh well, I continued to purchase it! The next day, I called for the tow. When I spoke to the dispatcher, she was polite, made sidebar conversation about my 73 VW Beetle that I was having towed. She gave an ETA of 90 minutes, and said she would call when the truck was en-route. She held up to her end of the deal, she called ahead and it was within the said time. When Allan(tow truck driver) arrived, he was extremely polite, he secured the vehicle and made conversation. At the end of the transport, he made sure that the vehicle was dropped in to the right spot where I wanted it! He was extremely personable. Great experience all around! read more

Granted it has been a while since they towed me, and granted each time was for a disabled vehicle, I never had any issues with their service or drivers. Perhaps people who illegally parked and got towed shouldn't park illegally, and their employees may treat you a little better... read more

B & B Towing cracked my car's oil pan and covered it up with bondo cement. Is this criminal? Possibly. It certainly was a conscious cover-up. Now, after three months of trying to communicate with them - including the head of the company, Mike Sorrentino - merely asking that they reimburse me in full for the damages they caused - I have finally received payments from them and their insurance company. It took a long time and was a lot of hassle. I always accepted having had to pay $90 for a tow and $30 for the ticket. That's on me. But to have to spend hours trying to get them to communicate and pay the basic costs for what they did (and covered up) was frustrating. I appreciate the efforts of the City of Cambridge Purchasing Agent's office for helping resolve this issue. I hope B & B will improve its practices going forward. read more

Would Give 0 stars if possible. Worst Service and experience. We called AAA to have a car towed. They sent B&B. The driver was rude and got bent out of shape when we wouldn't let him take it to garage he specified. He insulted out intelligence about cars, and insisted we had no idea it what was wrong and it wouldn't be fixed. (old serpentine belt broke). Oh, and he also said that we would have to pay if he got a ticket for towing a car down Mystic. No one told him he had to go that way, and i'm pretty sure tow trucks are allowed on mystic, because i have seen plenty of accidents and broken cars on that road. We will be calling AAA to complain about this company , and we will never use them again. I recommend you don't either. read more

Most of these reviews look like they're from pissed off people who had their illegally parked cars towed. IGNORE THEM. I've had my car towed plenty of times and never thought to write a negative review because of my own dumb actions. Anyway, I bought a fixer-upper (1985 el camino) and had to get it out of the previous owner's drive-way in Woburn and after getting stood up by two other tow companies I called B&B. I grew up in the area and have known of them for years but never had a run in until the other day. Control operator told me he can have someone be out in 20 min even though it was their busy time. The guy ended taking about 45, but he was in and out in a few minutes, and got my baby safely to Watertown. If I'm in a jam I'll use them again. read more

My girlfriend got my car towed and it ended up at B and B towing. I am however, writing this purely from a customer service standpoint. When we called to verify that our car was there, we were told that only cash was accepted for towed cars from cambridge. After researching, Cambridge City Law states that specifically "The tow companies must accept payment by cash, credit card or guaranteed check." - http://www.cambridgema.gov/Traffic/TowedVehicles.cfm I then called back to verify cards were accepted and the woman who answered claimed she had not been the one to answer the phone not 5 minutes prior to the first call and she didn't know. I dont even want to give this place one star but yelp says i have to. The driver in trick 11 is a very unhappy human being. He was rude, combative and screamed multiple explicit words before taking our car. To top it off after we paid 130 for the car ( 2 seconds free it got in the lot) this driver blocked our car in and essentially held is hostage all because he was upset. This driver SHOULD NOT be working in a job where he has to speak/deal with other human beings as he clearly does not know how to act like a decent human being himself. He is out of control and b&b should hold him responsible. Of course he would not give his name but as I said he was in truck 11. He is a very unhappy person and I hope he does not live the rest of his life this way as he will never be happy. read more

My girlfriend's car got towed from Cambridge due to street cleaning. For a towing company, these guys were very pleasant. When her car wouldn't start due to a dead battery, the lady in the office allowed us to use her car to jump the battery. It didn't work, but it was a far cry from other towing companies. If you're going to be towed by the city, better to have it done by these guys I guess :) read more

I'm annoyed I even had to give 1 star. AAA sent this company to tow my car, and I wanted to go to my garage, the driver and friend said my garage would "rape me" if I went there (very classy language to use in front of a lady) so I agreed to go to their garage. They claimed they fixed my car, charged me $65 and oh the next day it wouldn't start again. So they came to tow it again, and brought it to my place, and I just so happen to go check on it, and they LEFT ALL THE DOORS UNLOCKED, so all my stuff could just get stolen, THANKS FOR THAT GUYS!!! He claimed he couldn't lock the car without a key...but you had the key... DONT GO THERE EVER, THIS IS A HUGE SCAM AND RIP OFF. read more

AAA called a tow truck for me this morning and B&B was there in less than 5 minutes. The driver Chuckie was both skilled, knowledgable, and friendly. He seemed to come up with the same diagnosis that the AAA guy had assessed without having had the time to look closely. I was very impressed with how he maneuvered the tow truck and my car as we drove to my mechanic. He even gave me a lift back. There are nice people in the city! read more

I was getting gas at the Gulf Station is Allston on a very cold February day. Got into my car and pffffft. The lights went on but it wouldn't start. Since its a 5 year old Honda Civic I figured the cold had finally killed the battery. A Google search confirmed as much. Called AAA and this outfit showed up. I showed the driver my symptoms and suggested a jump. OH NO, its the starter or the alternator and would you like me to tow it to OUR SHOP? Oh sure, sucker me for $750 in repairs on a car with 18,000 miles on it. I told him no way, tow it to my home with my mechanic on the ground floor will look at it. "Well, you don't have to give me your bad ATTITUDE" the goon said. Like I can't smell a con when it farts in my face. He towed it to my place and I called a neighbor and asked for a jump start. Got towed because I missed street cleaning - completely my fault. It said online that my car was at B&B so I called to confirm. They denied having the car over and over again so I eventually called Cambridge police for help, which told me that my car was, in fact, at B&B. When I arrived I realized why the two workers didn't realize they had my car: they were stoned af. They shamelessly had their bong(s) out and were playing video games when I arrived. Possibly the worst customer service I've ever encountered. Idk how to avoid dealing with B&B but you should do it at all costs. read more

No manners, they have a very rude tone when speaking to you and they do not know what customer service is! I asked the driver to rie with him he act like he did'nt hear me and drove off - luckily I had someone who could have drove me behind him. I did not feel like my car would be safe with him alone. On both instances the BB employees were very aggressive, mean and had a nasty attitude. Shame on this company, AAA members beware they may come your way. Was really in a bind a couple days ago. Silly me caught the edge of a curb on my way to work. The tire burst and that was that. When I called, they said it would be around an 1 hr to 1.5 hr wait. They ended up coming much earlier 25 minutes after I called. The guy (Bobby) who helped put my spare on the car was super helpful and told me everything I needed to know when driving on a spare. He did a great job and I was well on my way to work. The price was also very reasonable at $50! Will definitely use in the future if this ever happens again...knock on wood. read more

Unfortunately, my car got towed by this company. My fault, not theirs. I called to find out where my car was, how much it would be to get it, and their hours. Luckily, they are open 24/7 so I was able to get my car back at 11 at night after work instead of paying more for it the next day. (However, they are in a pretty sketchy location, so if going at night, I would not recommend walking alone). They guy I spoke with about my car was very nice and gave me all the information I needed including the fact that they only take cash, so that saved me a trip back to the ATM, and exactly how to find the place if I got lost. I also noticed that on here there is a coupon, I asked him about this but he wasnt sure about it so he called his boss, and then called me back 5 mins later with an answer! I wasnt able to use the coupon and getting my car back was expensive, but I assume most towing fees are. Over all, they made a super unpleasant situation a little less unpleasant, and I was grateful for that. read more

I haven't had any personal experience with their towing policies but their drivers are very unprofessional and aggressive. I was just almost involved in an accident due to the reckless driving of one of the tow trucks. I was driving on route 2 in Lexington going about 65-70 when one of their trucks came speeding up behind me going at least 80 if not faster blowing his horn. I was passing people so I had no where to move over to. There were four lanes at this point(one specifically for trucks) and I was i was in the third. The truck continued to tailgate me and drove very aggressively until I was able to move over to the slow lane which is when he got behind me again and then sped up and passed me on the right in the truck lane. As he passed he used both hands to flip me off meaning he was driving at LEAST 80 on a busy highway with no hands on the wheel. I definitely would not trust these kind of drives to tow my car anywhere and you shouldn't either. read more

This morning started out awful. On my way to work my car breaks down. Luckily I have AAA and they sent out B&B towing who arrived very quick. The tow truck driver was a real nice guy by the name of Sean. I asked him to drop my car off at my mechanic. The mechanic I use is at a gas station that is right next too two other gas stations that also have mechanics, and unfortunately my car was dropped off at the wrong place. Well about an hour goes by and my mechanic calls me up to tell me my car has not arrived yet which I thought was strange. So I called up B&B and the gentleman that answers the phone tells me he will look into it to find out where my car got dropped off and call me right back. And that's exactly what he did, he called me right back and told me that my car got dropped off at the gas station right next to my mechanics by mistake, but not to worry he was sending Sean right over there to have it moved to the right place. Which I hung up happy about it that they were gonna fix the situation so promptly. Well when Sean arrived at the gas station he found out that they had already had fixed my car which had a problem with the radiator hose and was gonna be a $70 bill. Sean immediately pays the $70 repair bill for driving my car to the wrong place. What a stand up move!!! On top of that I received a personal phone call from Sean later to once again apologize for the mistake. Sean and B&B towing really handled this whole thing great. Wish there were more good businesses like B&B and stand up guys like Sean in this world! They really turned a bad situation around. Thanks again! 5 star experience! read more

Last night I needed to use a loading zone near my work. I parked my car and ran in to drop a box off. It took me ten minutes tops (took elevator to third floor ran to my desk and took it back down). By the time I had gotten back down one of the tow truck drivers had my car on his truck. At which point I knocked on his window and explained my situation. He let my car go thinking he was being nice to me. But I found out this morning MA law gives me the ability to park there for 15 minutes and be OK. I understand that he was doing his job but if I have to follow parking laws they should too. I WILL NEVER call this company for any towing needs. read more

I was crossing the street and this truck barreled up into the cross walk. When I indicated he had better slowdown be became belligerent with me and called me names. This guy was totally in the wrong. Time to expect some common courtesy from these drivers. Their livelihood depends on acting like a professional. I will never use this tow company. Today, when shopping at a store for which B and B had a contract to tow cars, my car was towed from the parking lot as I stood in line purchasing my milk. I was told that I had to pay $50 dollars to get my car back. I was also treated poorly, as a woman, by the male tow-truck driver. Can someone explain to me how this is justified? These guys were terrible. They towed our front wheel drive car on the front wheels, potentially damaging the car, rather than call in a flatbed truck. They were extremely difficult to work with. I would definitely not recommend them, and if AAA tries to get them to tow you, request someone else! read more

Came home after an hour-and-a-half nightmare commute from Boston to find that my Saturn Vue was stuck in a snow bank. Although AAA told me I'd have to wait three hours for a tow truck, B & B Towing sent someone in less than an hour and pulled out the vehicle in less than five minutes. My car died on the corner of Freshpond Parkway and Brattle Street. I was in the lefthand lane. An incredibly nice man helpeds me push it into someone's driveway. I called AAA and someone from B&B Towing arrived within the estimated time. The gentleman they sent was fantastic!! Very professional and friendly. He towed me back to my local mechanic in Jamaica Plain. I was told they would no longer be able to let the customer ride with them (AAA's rule). It's a shame because I really appreciated the ride back to JP. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman from B&B. He really went above and beyond. read more

This company is your worst nightmare: they are predatory towers who apparently hire only people who live under rocks. Cambridge regulations supposedly require companies to accept credit cards-they do not. They illegally towed me and charged me $140 when the rate posted by the city is $100.
