One of my garage door hinges broke and I called B & D Door for service. James answered the call and he showed up at my home on the same day. He inspected my garage door and made some recommendations to change some other hinges that were cracked and about to fail, plus recommended replacing the rollers and the lower plastic cover at the bottom of the door which was in taters. We haven't made any major maintenance to our garage door (other than replacing the springs) in 20 years! B & D Door did a great job of fixing the broken springs on the garage door. They came out on short notice and replaced the springs even with 2 cars in the garage. It was a hot day and super cramped in there with the cars still in the garage. He also lubricated the wheels and rails. When the springs are broken, you can't budge the door so couldn't get the cars out. So very glad they could fix it quickly with the cars still there. After sending quotes through Yelp for my broken garage door, B & D responded fast and had a competitive price so I messaged them to come to take a look. They promptly arrived at our scheduled time and assessed the issue with my garage door. He said he was in the business for 15 years and it shows He took the time to walk me through what the issue was and proceeded to fix a couple of things (tension rod, spool cables, and spool adjustment). After his fixes, everything was working again after 40 mins. He also took the time to tell me about general garage door maintenance tips and things to watch out for so I don't run into the same problems in the future which I really appreciate. It wasn't clear from their social media presence, so I called for some repairs to my elderly mom who lives in San Jose (Ben installed the spring/cables 8 years prior).
