The tow side of this company is great, friendly, and helpful! The call center however was awful! I waited half an hour and called them back thinking I had given them bad directions when it turns out the call center had never even notified the tow center. If I could give this place negative stars, I definitely would. This establishment is worried about nothing more than scamming people. they charged me 365$ to release my car, this fee included the towing and a per day storage fee. Now let me explain why this was a scam. First of all they towed my car literally 3 blocks. On top of that, they charged me 80$ for a PER DAY storage fee, which if I'm not wrong a day is 24 hours. Yet my car was only there for 2 hours. They also charged me an after hour service fee. Yet they are said to be open 24 hours. We were considering legal action as one of the other comments suggested because they are falsely advertising. Their signs should not say per day fee, they should say charged upon arrival to the garage. Besides that, they are also thieves charging that amount for a 3 block tow. Finally, they should also stop advertising they are a 24 hour establishment because they clearly are not and if they would want to argue that with me then I will gladly be asking for a refund. on a different subject, one of their workers was extremely rude after I asked what he could do for us. I understand that he was probably tired of hearing people complain about the fees and the towing. And he's right its not his fault, in fact, he said if he even thought of giving us a discount, it would get taken out of his paycheck. Which I don't know people but that sounds really messed up. I don't know a lot about laws but that sounds quite illegal to me considering if you work for a company they are taking responsibility of your best judgement depending on the situation. I got in an accident and the CHP called the tow truck which is mistake number 1. Call your own tow and you pay quite a bit less. The overpriced CHP tow combined with a fee to dispose of the car. After talking to the manager, I was able to get him to waive the disposal fee since I had the title in hand. In the end, good service and nice people. Call them directly and you can surely save some coin vs the CHP people. read more

These guys are great. My truck wouldnt start at a gas station about 1 mile from my house. I called other towing companies and they wanted to charge me $110 plus a premium because it was after 6pm on a Sunday. One company would only give me a range which was $110 up to $150. Lamorinda came in 5 minutes and tow my truck home for a flat fee of $95. A great deal, great service, no bs. read more

I own a Telsa Model S which broke down. It is a difficult car to tow. B & D showed up at the promised time (30 minutes from call on Friday night) and new exactly how to handle the vehicle. They made sure to very carefully load the car. Were courteous and made certain to not soil the interior of the vehicle. Would use them again with confidence. read more

They towed my car from a lot in walnut creek, stranding me with my 5 month old and 2.5 year old sons in the cold with no carseats. The operator was no help, his driver hung up on me after saying I should just call a cab and maybe I'd get lucky and they'd have carseats (idiot). After finally getting some much needed help from my sister who lives in walnut creek we got to the tow yard only to find it "closed." The operator again said he would call someone about opening it up and they would call me. Took awfully long considering someone was inside the lit office. Guy inside was "nice" enough to not charge me for overnight (considering it was 8:30pm and I had only been towed 1/2 an hour before I should hope not) and yet I still paid $195 for their 5 mile tow down the road. It's a scam. I'm sure they split the profits with the lot owners. See my review of Regional Parking. These folks are just unethical crooks. Son's car got towed by them to their lot on a Thursday night. They are closed on the weekend, and we went to pick up the car on Monday. It was there for 4 days, and we got charged for 5 days at over $100/day in addition to a $250 towing charge of about 5 blocks. I am asking my credit card company to hold up the charge as the guy at the towing company will not even talk to them over the gross overcharge. If I am not satisfied there, I will consider a lawsuit against these moneygrubbing folks. read more

Tonight my 1990 Toyota Camry got stuck in a deep ditch and my insurance company sent B&D Towing to help me out. A very friendly guy named Tony showed up earlier then the expected arrival time. He was compassionate about my predicament and he did his best to make sure that my Camry made it out of that ditch in one piece without scratches or additional damages. He is a veteran who worked as a mechanic in Afghanistan so he obviously knows his stuff. Although the process was slow going, I knew it was because he was making sure the gravel didn't do damage to my car as he pulled it out. Afterwards, he showed me exactly where my car had dragged and gave me his business card incase my car needed any repairs. I needed an emergency tow & my insurance company called B & D. they were here within 15 minutes, were VERY careful with my low profile sports car as they loaded it on the flat bed tow trunk, were very courteous and efficient and called me to tell me that they had arrived at the auto shop 10 minutes later. He was professional, courteous, and careful with hooking everything up. I road with him to the repair shop; he was personable to talk to and careful as a driver. I highly recommend an excellent mechanic and manager, Song, with B&D Towing Lamorinda. Song took my 7:00am call and patiently gave me instructions over the phone to attemtp to resolve an auto stick lever problem. In addition, Song then came to my home with a tow truck and Song personally solved the stick lever problem on the spot and saved me beaucoup bucks in avoiding a tow to a shop who would have charged me lots of money. After reading the recent reviews about this company refusing to call back or deal with a towed vehicle due to the owners death, I have decided to not use this company. I'm on my condo board and we are going to make a change in who tows out of our parking lot. We were planning on using B&D but after all the negative reviews I'm glad the decision has not been made and I can go with another tow company. read more
