Paid for a part for my car over a month ago over the phone, sales person did not give me their contact information like they were supposed to do. They were supposed to send me a photo of the pulled part to make sure it was complete. I had to call their toll free number repeatedly over the span of a week to finally get the pic and told rep yes it looks complete, have it shipped. Heard nothing back over the next week, called again and was informed the part still showed in their system as being held at the yard, they again asked for it to be shipped to me. I then waited and still did not get tracking information from them so I called in again and was told I had to talk to the initial salesperson, and they transferred me to their phone, left voicemail, didn't get a return call, called in yet again and by some miracle got initial salesperson who told me it had shipped and he'd send shipping info shortly (suprise, it hadn't). Recieved another picture from another person of the wrong part, and called them back and got the person in charge of shipping who looked into it and found out the yard had LOST the original part and the part request was being shopped around to other yards in the chain. Got 2 more pictures a fed days later of destroyed parts (obviously tried to remove using a large hammer, destroying part of the assembly and damaging what was left. Each time it got passed to another yard, the sales person at the yard sending it washed their hands of it. I haven't heard anything from them since 4/25/25 and noticed they refunded to my account today, what I paid for the part over a month ago without notifying me they were giving up. I would rate 0 out of 5 if I could. They're a -10 on communication and don't seem to care as soon as they have your money. read more

I've shopped at B&R both online and in person at their Eugene, OR location and have always been very satisfied with the service. This location however was sadly disappointing and borderline insulting. I tried buying two parts and not only did the guy not want to sell them to me, but also laughed at me when I requested the parts. I guess my business wasn't worth his time since he was also on his phone the whole time I spoke to him. I work in customer service which is why I am being so harsh and critical, but little things like this are what makes businesses lose loyal customers like myself. I'll be buying all of my parts from a competitor from now on. read more

I feel completely misled and disappointed. I placed an order for an engine from a 2022 Subaru Impreza (Order #: W11-6664-9424), which was supposed to have only 18,392 miles on it, according to the Carfax report. Before placing the order, the manager told me that this specific engine might take over a month to arrive, and I said right away that I was totally fine with the wait. I needed that engine and was willing to be patient. But when my order finally arrived and I picked it up, I later discovered they gave me a completely different engine--from a 2020 Impreza with 121,864 miles. That's not even close to what I paid for. To make things worse, the engine I originally ordered is still listed as available on their website. I feel cheated and really disappointed by this whole experience. The salesman sent me a picture of the running board it matched so I accepted he said it would be there in a week and I would be contacted when it arrived. 2 months later no response so I went into the store with proof of payment and order number, got the runaround was BS. Waited 30 more days which was 3 months after I ordered the part still no call so I went in again to the store and guess what they had the part there with no call and it was so damaged that I declined the purchase., the only good experience I had with dealing with b&r is they refunded me my money, unfortunately this business is a joke and a disgrace to the community read more

I called B&r Auto wrecking as I had just purchased a vehicle and was it need of parts, Nico was my phone representative as I was very very unhappy not only did he get the address incorrect I did not receive my parts. I called to find out where the parts where I was told I had to wait to pick them up from the UPS location also was uninformed that the parts were being shipped by different companies. Nico Never informed me of any confirmation number for my other package or deliver, I called to voice my concerns and Nico hung up on me twice And none of the representatives as I called will transfer me over to the manager to get help, at this point I'm out of money and parts. I get that they didn't necessarily have to help me but good customer service would have been to. I had my vehicle repaired but the State Farm adjuster kept ordering the wrong part. I ended up with a door that the repair shop couldn't/wouldn't return. I had to pay for the part and hoped to be able to return it for at least a partial refund or sell it back at less than I ended up paying for it. My tire was stolen was quoted 30$ if I came down and pulled it myself from the lot. I ran down there, ran around the lot, finally found the rim. Carried it about a football field back to the store. Cashing out I noticed a 15$ core fee.... I mentioned the quote and how my tire was stolen that means rim also. Dustin or Justin came from the back and asked for core fee for an item I did not have. "We just had a meeting about this" he says. Core fee for a rim??? They took 5$ off. I could've gotten brand new rim for 75$ But when your down why not get kicked also, this could've been a easy 5 star review, but due to that response it can only be 1 Star. Walk in to the store, and the guy says "35 bucks". For a part that is available new on Amazon, Rock Auto, Car part, etc, for 12 dollars new! For oem part. The guy is glaring at me, and playing drums with his fists on the counter top THE ENTIRE TIME that he is talking to me. Thanks, you've been a lot of help. I recently found a part for my Subaru outback online with B & R Auto. I called the 800 number in California, they found the part in Portland and had it shipped to me in Seattle for no charge. Overall, a very positive experience, the part was in good shape (very dirty, but good shape) and was incredibly reasonable. Customer service (Dave Williams) was very helpful and courteous. There's often a wait if you call (they're busy it seems), but really nice guys. I did not go to the Portland location and meet with anyone there. This is my experience from parts shipped from Portland through the main California location. read more

I was looking for an air conditioner vent that my kids broke in my minivan. Called up the guys who did not have one already pulled off but they did have some vehicles with the same model as mine. I swung by 5 minutes later. They were very helpful and got me the part right away and reasonably priced. In and out within 15 minutes with my 2 kids and the part popped back in the vent. I bought an engine a few weeks ago and the engine had loose bolts the manifold gasket missing and tighten incorrectly, tge water pump was basically loose , i had to replace one of the valve cover because they broke one of the hoses coming out of it and it was stuck , terrible service and quality of parts that they promise are good.. they simply don't care how they pull out or put back the parts on the engine terrible company don't ever buy there , it's just a waste of money and time read more

So I called Mastercard and filed a claim against them. Mastercard refunded my card and now they are taking the case against b&r.. buyer beware. Asked for the reports on the testing and what they provided wasn't even close to what we were getting after professionally installing not just one but two engines. It started simple enough; I needed a part for my SUV. I first spoke with Kat who assured me that they could ship me the part that I needed. Well fast forward a few days later they sent me the wrong part. It was from the previous generation. Called them back and she told me she would have the part waiting at the Portland location. She requested I bring the old part there and pick up the correct part. Next week I head over there and as it turns out they sent the same incorrect part. Well ok I suppose; they said they would reorder the correct part and call me when it arrived. Never got a call so a week later I stop by. What do you know same incorrect part. I'm a pretty forgiving guy so I figure they are pretty busy and made another mistake. Anyways they say they will fix it and give me a call next week since they lied or were too incompetent I decide to get a number. Again no call so I stop by; as I kept getting sent to voicemail when I did try to call. Yup you guessed it still no part this time. They tell me that the part was never ordered and he assures me that this time they will get it right and call me next week. No call; so I call first thing in the morning and as it turns out they were unable to pull the part without damaging it. TLDR; they don't know how to use a phone, can't keep their word, terribly dishonest, can't ship a part without damaging it, and worst of all they will drag you along the whole time. Ordered a used master power switch for a 2002 Volvo. The first one didn't work, but they sent a second one free of charge. I got the car fixed. Prices were downright cheap. Customer service (Ashley) was very friendly and helpful and made the order fulfillment (2x) very simple. The unit is working in the car again. They have a great website where you can search and view pictures of the available parts. I will go to these guys any time I need a used auto part that reasonably can be shipped to me in Chicago. read more

Wrecking yard that is call-to-pull. No self service (Which usually allows for better pricing). Called to check availability of part and was told they had 4 available and to pick them up anytime. Showed up 3 days later and was told they only had 1, it was not in the same location and had to be ordered. They do have a CRM system of sort that had the quote I was given 3 days prior which was a plus. Ordered the part and was told the ETA was Tuesday (Ordered on Saturday). Not too slow, not terribly fast. They also said if the part does not work or is not correct they will issue a complete refund. Will go back, but will be very weary of what is told over the phone. read more

Ive had a horrible experience with b&r auto wrecking. I purchased a auto trans for my car. I live 2 hours away. 1st transmission had valve body and sensor issues, 2nd transmission leaked transmission out of the front pump of transmission, 3rd transmission slipped like crazy and wouldnt engage gears for 5 seconds or so. Not to mention whoever takes off the transmission pans cant put simple pan bolts back in place without crossthreading. So i had to put new transmission fluid in every transmission, bought a revolution sensor and solenoid kit to remedy some of the issues to no avail. I did get my initial refund back for the transmission but am out money for putting in transmission fluid in every transmission and driving back and fourth to portland to swap out these transmissions. Not to mention the money for the solenoid kit and rev sensor. Long story short dont trust these folks parts they sell bad parts. Someone obviously doesnt know how to do their job checking these parts out. We will see if they make this right but i doubt i will hear back from them i already called and am waiting to get a call back about this issue. Dont buy from b&r if you need a auto transmission. read more
