The reason I gave them a 2 star rating is simply because up until my car caught on fire randomly I…read morehad 0 issues with it. I've been a customer with ok carz for two years and I kept my comp and collision through them because it's was a great price! Little did I know how much I would regret that decision. A couple of days ago I was driving my car and it shut off and caught fire. Luckily no one was hurt or injured. So I call Midflorida Finance which is who finances allll of their cars and explained the situation, the rep advised me to send a couple pics to get the claim started so I did that. This was at 10 am, at 4:30 pm I called to see what the nexus step was and the rep then advised they were waiting on a police report from me but never asked for one at any point. I instantly send it to them and am advised because it's Friday at this point in the afternoon nothing would happen till Monday and keep in mind the car is sitting in front of my house. Monday rolls around and it's about noon and I haven't heard anything so I call midflorida and ask if there's an update, they tell me they sent my pictures off to Lakeland Toyota for an estimate and are waiting for a response so I asked if they were sending anyone out to inspect the car and she advised no they would be deciding the date of the car based off the 5 photos I sent in. (Not your typical experience) and I also work for an insurance company in the TOTAL LOSS DEPARTMENT! Tuesday's rolls around there is still no update until mid afternoon, they call to ask if I can start the car so they can continue in their decision making... meanwhile in the picture I sent them you can see the entire battery was melted and gone so obviously no. So she has to now call them back and provide the info. Wednesday finally comes and they deem the car a total loss and say someone will be there within 3 days to tow the car and they will come get the key from me. Well they showed up very early morning and didn't come get my key so when I go to get my stuff about the old car and put it in my new car I notice the car is gone. When I call she advises I know have to drive 40 minutes to come collect my stuff after the tow truck driver didn't get the keg from me and they have to have the key. I'm here at the ok carz in Lakeland and the lady at the cashier window is rude, unfriendly and not helpful so I highly advise not doing business with these people.

I bought a new truck from Lakeland Ford and here's what happened. The thing that you guys promote…read moreis that Lakeland Ford Exceeding Customer Expectations Every Day! didnt happen in my case I specifically asked for the following accessories would need to be on the vehicle, memory seats, cooling seats and adaptive cruise control. The vehicle that they brought up to the front didnt have any of the features I asked for. I did ask about the cooling seats and I was explained to that cooling wasnt available in any of the models so I accepted that. As far as the other features which were the memory seats and the adaptive cruise control I assumed that they were on the vehicle it wasnt until I was investigating how to make it work did I find out that they were not on the vehicle. The motto Exceeding Customer Expectations Every Day! Did not apply to me I guess that I was a special customer because I was told that I wouldnt of qualified for the model that would have these options so I just have to deal with it again the motto Exceeding Customer Expectations Every Day! Doesnt apply to me. I dont understand why I wasnt shown a model that had the options I wanted!! It was explained to me after (NOT BEFORE like it should have been) that I wouldnt have qualified for the vehicle. My question is WHY the vehicle with the options wasnt shown to me and then if I didnt qualify for the vehicle then we would have to drop some of our wants. Again the motto Exceeding Customer Expectations Every Day! Didnt apply to me!! I am a disabled veteran and I need the adaptive cruise control to drive on I-4 with all the starts and stops I am not going to be able to take I-4 to the VA hospital and will have to take the back way adding to my trip. I believe that your dealership should be able to add those 2 items that I had requested or put me in a vehicle that has the options! I am going to take this matter to Ford headquarters as I am not happy and I definitely didnt get treated properly like the motto says Exceeding Customer Expectations Every Day! Thanx and God bless, Kevin Manuel

Was about to go here look for my new truck. Realize what I had to deal with with their parts…read moredepartment. I kinda new never to deal with these guys again. I bought an f150 front camera from them. They sent me a passenger side camera and they won't return it since I've loss the packaging. Now I'm stuck here two hundred down the drain. Never again dealing with these guys. I just hate the fact that it was their fault in the first place and now I gotta eat the loss. To tell me you can't check your inventory to see your own mistakes (you would have a missing item in your inventory for sending me the wrong part) already tells me this is a shady place that does shady practices. Avoid at all cost.

I came away very happy with my sales lady and very satisfied with my purchase. When it comes to service it's a whole different matter. There I feel like they have zero respect for me or my time. Last week I waited for more than 5 minutes while they had a private conversation about food and TV before they even acknowledged my presence. I came in for a routine oil change for which I'd made an appointment in advance . This time just like last time it took more than 2 hours. For an oil change! Yes it seems their lack of respect for your time is large.

Buyer beware. Do your due diligence before trusting Lakeland Volkswagen with warranty-related…read morerepairs. Over Thanksgiving, I brought my 2021 VW Atlas in for repeated stalling and a Start/Stop system error -- a serious safety issue that included the vehicle shutting off while driving with my wife and our two week old newborn in the car. The dealership diagnosed a failed EVAP carbon canister, which is covered under Volkswagen's extended warranty. At the same time, they documented "heavy deformation" of the fuel tank and confirmed it required replacement. Despite this, I was required to pay out of pocket for the fuel tank replacement. Fuel tank collapse is widely recognized as a consequential failure of a faulty carbon canister due to excessive vacuum in the EVAP system. Instead of honoring coverage, the dealership presented a "discount," but I was still charged over $1,200 for a repair directly tied to a covered component. My advice: - Get everything in writing - Question any "discount" offered on warranty-related repairs - Don't assume a repair tied to a covered defect will automatically be treated as consequential damage - Escalate the matter to Volkswagen Customer Care This experience has been extremely disappointing given the safety implications involved.
